Prologue: Their Morning

"Harumi!" Lloyd called out, walking towards Harumi's room in the Monastery, "Come on, it's time for your training."

Ever since the Sons of Garmadon got locked up in Kryptarium, Harumi moved in with the Ninja at the Monastery. She was still working on gaining Ninjago City's forgiveness by stopping criminals, low-level thugs, or any bad people in the city. Sometimes she would travel around Ninjago, not just the city, and do small good deeds by stopping bad guys in small villages.

The times when she wasn't out stopping bad guys, she would train in the Monastery or hang out with the Ninja. She hasn't earned the title of a ninja yet, she was still a ninja-in-training. She wore a ninja gi and helped the ninja but she wasn't qualified yet so she still trained with Lloyd and the others would help her occasionally.

Today, PIXAL, Zane, and Cole left to go to the Ninjago Harbor, something about getting a reward for saving Ninjago. Sadly, not all of the Ninja could come. Most of them were busy with something else.

Lloyd opened the door to Harumi's room but found it empty. He walked out to the courtyard and saw the monks and Master Wu working on the Monastery Mural, it was supposed to be finished today. Kai and Jay were in the relaxation room, doing something. Dareth was also over to see the mural.

He then went into Master Wu's room and found Harumi meditating. He chuckled quietly to himself and stealthily walked behind Harumi. She was still focused on meditating so he assumed that she didn't know he was behind her. He crouched down to her level and covered her eyes with his hands.

"Guess who?" He asked, smiling mischievously.

She stopped meditating and laughed, "Lloyd?" She answered, putting her hands on top of his.

He laughed and uncovered her eyes, letting her look at him, "Yep. Correct."

They both stood up and Harumi said, "Let me guess. Time for training?" She questioned.

"Yeah," He nodded, "But it'll have to be cut short today."

"Why?" She raised a brow.

He sighed, "My dad called for me."

She then asked, "Your dad? In Kryptarium Prison?" He nodded, "What if it's a trick?" Her eyes were filled with worry.

He smiled and stroked her cheek with one of his hands, "Don't worry. He's in the most heavily protected in Kryptarium Prison. He can't hurt me even if he wanted to. I'll be fine." He assured her.

"You sure?" She questioned.

"Positive." He replied, "Now, come on. Let's go see if you got your spinjitzu down."

They both ran out to the courtyard and Lloyd showed her the steps for the art of spinjitzu. Again. He gave her an example and after he was done, she tried to copy the exact steps. She spun around as fast as she could and she felt herself engulfed in a tornado. She had her eyes closed as she didn't want to see what was happening.

"Haha! You're doing it!" Lloyd cheered.

Harumi gasped while still having her eyes closed, "Really?" She asked.

He nodded but she couldn't see it, "Yes! Open your eyes."

Slowly but surely, she opened them and saw herself spinning inside a tornado. She beamed at her success, "This is... unusual? But I have to admit that this is an entertaining experience." She laughed.

"Your tornado's jade green." He pointed out.

"Probably because I'm wearing that color." She smiled.

Her spinjitzu didn't stop and Lloyd decided to ask, "Can you stop spinning?"

"What do you mean?" She asked, not understanding the question.

"Can you stop your spinjitzu?" He clarified.

He heard her cough awkwardly, "Uhm, no." She started panicking mentally.

His eyes widened and he started his own spinjitzu, "Okay, just hang on." He bumped his spinjitzu into hers and combined both their spinjitzu's into one. Since they were both inside the same spinjitzu, they could see each other and Lloyd smiled while Harumi still looked panic. "Look at me." He commanded and she did, "Calm yourself. Make yourself come to a halt as if you're running."

She took a few shaky breaths and looked at Lloyd before smiling. She nodded and said, "Okay." She closed her eyes and placed her feet on the ground and made herself stop as if she was running.

The next thing she knew, Lloyd laughed and smiled at her, "See? You did it."

She opened her eyes and laughed in excitement, "Did I just do spinjitzu?!" She asked excitedly.

"Yes, you did!" He exclaimed. Much to his surprise, Harumi ran up to him and gave him a hug. He froze.

"Thank you." She stated.

Slowly, Lloyd returned the hug and stuttered, "Y-Yeah! You're welcome, Rumi." He smiled. They broke apart and they both went inside. Lloyd checked the time and sighed in disappointment, "I have to go now. I told you earlier that my dad asked me to come."

She gave a concerned stare, "Are you sure that he can be trusted? I only resurrected the evil version of your father. He won't be easy to reason with." She warned.

"I'll be fine. You can just go check on Jay and Kai, whatever they're doing." He nodded.

She gave a giggle and nodded, "Sure." She walked past him but not before placing a hand on his upper arm, "Be safe." She whispered in a tone that left him smitten by her.

Lloyd blushed at her tone and the gesture she did by placing her hand on his upper arm. He came back to reality and smiled at her, "I will. See you later?" He asked, stroking her cheek to tease her.

"Mhm," She nodded, blushing at his gesture to tease her back but she didn't reveal it, "I'll see you later." She let go of his arm, still blushing, and left to find Jay and Kai.

He chuckled whilst also still blushing. He placed his hand on his arm, where Harumi touched him, and let out a lovestruck sigh. He wasn't going to lie when saying that he was still head over heels for Harumi, but he wasn't sure if she returned his feelings. They were still just friends right now but he does plan to ask her out soon. He also wanted to ask for advice from the other guys since they already have girlfriends. He then remembered Nya's advice for asking a girl out.

Just be yourself. It's so much easier than trying to be someone you're not.

He then planned to ask her out after finding the right time to do so. Probably after he came back or after he asked his friends about this decision. For now, though, he needs to focus on what his father wanted to tell him.
