The contest will begin on the 1st of March, 2020 and run through the end of the month. The deadline for entries is 31st of March, 2020, 23:59 PM EST. Any entries submitted after this time will not be counted.

Winners will be announced in late April. (Sometime after the 20th, since that gives us time to judge entries without rushing.)

FAQs

Do I have to make a new book?

You can submit an existing or separate book but please ensure that when submitting, the link is only to your entry. We cannot add your entire book in our respective reading list.

Are there other tags I can use?

That's up to you. If you're entering, #MarchMadness2020 is a must. We also advise adding #fanfiction so the right audience will find and read your Fanfic work.

Does it have to be 1000 - 2000 words and do I need to write a single chapter only?

As it's a one-shot contest, the word limit is that and not over. Although, you don't need to make just a single chapter (unless it's in an existing book). Adding more chapters is welcome but please keep in mind the whole entry must meet our word limit.

Can I enter my work that's not Fanfiction?

Unfortunately, no. This contest is specifically for Fanfic writers only. But we welcome all users to join our game or there are other contests from other Ambassador run profiles you could be interested in! (Check them out )

Can I do a co-written story with someone?

Yes, you can! However, if you choose to publish on both your profiles, be aware that we can only add one story to our respective reading lists, not both.

Can I submit more than one entry?

As much we love to read your creative stories, only one entry per user is allowed.

Can I do both prompts?

We do allow it. Just remember that your story must fit both prompts and pick 'Both' in our submission form.

What about Mature? Are LGBTQ+ characters allowed?

Of course, we always welcome LGBTQ+ characters and stories! Mature is allowed as well but please remember that it must meet the Wattpad Content Guidelines in order to be accepted.

What if I want to do the prompt but don't want to participate in the contest?

That's fine with us! Just do not add the participation sticker or fill out our submission form if you're writing only for fun.

How will our stories be judged?

Stories are judged on various factors, such as writing quality (spelling, punctuation, and grammar), originality, and relation to our two prompts.
