Sirius stared down at his boyfriend, laying there peacefully on his bed in the hospital wing, looking sadly at the wounds he inflicted. His mouth curved into a sad smile as he reached up and moved Remus's hair out of his eyes. Remus stirred sleepily, and Sirius watched in wonder as Remus blinked open his eyes, and smiled at him.

"Moony?" He asked, his voice cracking. "I'm fine, really, no harm done." Remus said, moving into a sitting position, exposing his arms and all their scars. Sirius stifled a sob, his scars always upset him, but he tried not to let Remus know.  Remus's face fell, a look of despair on his face. "You want to break up with me don't you" He said quietly, staring at the wall his bed was facing.

Sirius looked at him in shock. "No! Why would I break up with you? I love you!" He said desperately. Remus looked at him with obvious pain in his eyes. "I'm a monster! You don't really love me! You know you want to, I always find you about to sob when I wake up!" He said, his voice raw and scratchy. "I'm always about to cry because the man I love is in the hospital wing! Scratched up and bloody, and thinking he's a monster! Just because you are possessed my something evil, doesn't mean you are! Like Lily on her period!"

Sirius had started to cry, big fat tears running down his face. He dimly heard the hospital wing doors open, but didn't recognize it. "Siri! Are you okay?" He heard a frantic Lily ask. He shook his head fast, and felt her arms around him. "Siri, c'mon talk to me!" He took a deep rattling breath, "Remus wants to break up with me!" He whimpered, and buried his face into Lily's chest, soaking through her shirt with tears.

"No I don't!" Remus protested, "I just think he'd be better off without a monster as his boyfriend!" He looked down and began to fumble with his blanket, avoiding her eyes as Lily glared at him. "Remus John Lupin! He loves you and you love him! So stop being such a........FRNAJSHSKDBDBBSSNJSJS!" James stared at her. "A what?" Lily turned her glare on him, and he instantly became interested in the loose thread in his robe. Sirius looked up and smiled a watery smile at Lily. "Thanks Lily flower, my stubborn boyfriend is just going through his questioning phase."

Lily smiled and wiped his tears away, softly kissing his forehead before going over to James. Sirius turned back over to Remus, steeling himself for the conversation. "You are not a monster Rem! I promise you!" Remus nodded, not meeting his eyes as he fiddled with the hospital wing bed sheets. Sirius rolled his eyes and climbed into bed next to Remus, pulling his fingers away from the bedsheets and kissing his knuckles softly. Remus looked up at him with tears in his eyes, and leaned against Sirius, intertwining their hands.

"I just don't see why you want me instead of someone pretty," Remus started sadly, "there are plenty of boys who would love to date you, ones without hideous secrets and scars." Sirius stared down at him in disbelief, opening his mouth to protest but Lily beat him to it. "Remus John Lupin! You are loved and amazing, we don't care about your scars or you werewolfness. We love you for who you are and we don't want some phony who only wants in because Siri is so hot! Now get that out of your head and accept that Siri loves you and doesn't want to leave you!"

"Rem, I promise I won't leave you. I love you!" Sirius said hopefully, kissing Remus softly on the lips. Lily and James nodded from the end of the bed. "Moons, there is no way we would leave you. You're family, and family is forever." James said smiling, as he and Lily sat down on the edge of the bed, with his arm around Lily's waist and her head on his shoulder, they reminded Remus that he was loved.
