Maplepaw groomed her fur getting ready for the nights gathering, she had luckily persuaded Viperstar to let her come but afterwards she would have to search the elders for ticks. Maplepaw was excited to see Reedpaw if he went, she soon finished grooming and went to join the cats that were gathered near the entrance.
"Come now before the moon has fully arisen over the horizon," Viperstar called, the cats set off out of camp. The slowed as they neared the riverclan border, they spotted the riverclan cats heading towards the gathering and followed. They soon arrived at the forever large four trees, Maplepaw noticed Reedpaw settling down next to some other apprentices and padded over to join them.
"I see Viperstar let you come," Reedpaw meowed, Maplepaw nodded.
"Yes I was lucky and at sun rise I have to check elders for ticks," Maplepaw meowed, she sighed.
"Anyways I want you to meet my friends this is Mudpaw, Lakepaw and Silverpaw all apprentices in riverclan like me," Reedpaw meowed, they all nodded their greeting.
"Looks like the gatherings starting sit with us," Reedpaw meowed, Maplepaw sat with the group.
"Thunderclan is well fed this season, we have had no trouble from any clans and are happy, we also have a new apprentice, Maplepaw, I am training her myself as one day she might be a strong leader, prey is running well for my clan, we have had no incidents with foxes or badgers, that is all," Viperstar called before stepping back, Rainstar stepped forwards.
"Riverclan's fish are running well this season, we have been well fed and shall continue to be well fed, we also have four new apprentices, Reedpaw, Silverpaw, Mudpaw and Lakepaw, Lakepaw has chosen the life of a medicine cat so we must all respect that, we have also noticed that Thunderclan has decided to take over sunning rocks while we were busy, either way we plan to take them back before leaf-bare, that is all," Rainstar called before stepping back, Runningstar stepped forwards.
"Windclan is well fed as well, the rabbits have been plenty this season, we have witnessed no problems and hope to keep it that way, we have had no apprentices or kits this year and find it a bit troubling as with no kits we have no new apprentices to help out around camp, that is all," Runningstar called before stepping back, Shadestar stepped forwards.
"Shadowclan is well fed as the prey loves to lay in the shade of our large forest trees, we have had no trouble and we have only one new apprentice Snakepaw, he is a very loyal cat so watch out when battling him if any clan calls war on us, we have spotted no foxes and no badgers, that is all," Shadestar called, Viperstar stepped forwards again.
"This meeting is called to an end," Viperstar called, he leapt down and charged off his clan following behind. Maplepaw glanced behind her once to see Reedpaw disappearing into the bushes and out of sight, Maplepaw was glad to be back at camp. Maplepaw yawned and padded off to the apprentices den, she curled up in her nest and fell asleep.
