REMUS LUPIN was a werewolf. This was something that plagued him for more days a month than just the day of the full moon. He had to deal with being ill a few days before the full moon, as well as a few days after.

So, naturally Remus told his three friends no when they asked him if he wanted to come along and pull a prank on Filch on a Tuesday night, two days after the full moon.

The rest of the Marauders had also been a bit more tired than normally after the full moon, due to the fact that all three of them were Animagi in order to help Remus out during his transformations - James a stag, Sirius a dog and Peter a rat.

But, staying up a bit longer than normally and getting some small scratches didn't stop the mischievous boys from pulling pranks.

"You sure you don't wanna come Moony?" Sirius asked his friend one last time. Remus shook his head from where he was sat in his bed reading "Dracula", the book that Claudia had just finished a few days ago.

Remus had stolen that book pretty much as soon as Claudia had left it back on the shelf. He had seen her read it during meals and in the hallways, so he knew just the book to read next.

When Remus was putting back "Rebecca", he had seen a first year Hufflepuff return his book to Madame Pince, who was checking it with magic. That's when he figured that he shouldn't risk it and loan the books, so instead he did just like Claudia; he stole them.

He didn't understand why no one had caught her before until he realised that no one read muggle books in that castle anymore.

If you did, you would get treated poorly by all the Slytherins. The ones who did read muggle books read their own, and not the ones from the library. Or they read the books the Muggle Studies teacher gifted them in secret, something that had happened to Remus.

"Don't get caught," he weakly smiled at his friends as he opened up the book - only for his smile to grow wider at the sight of one of Claudia's funny remarks about page 278.

"I have prefect rounds, see you soon," Claudia sighed as she stood up from her bed.

"With who?" Betty asked.

"Rosier," she sighed again. "If I don't come back when I'm supposed to you better go get McGonagall." She said, aware of the fact that it wouldn't be unlikely for Evan to try something with her. And if he did, McGonagall was the person you'd want to find you. She was good with things like that, being a woman and all.

"Sure thing," her friends chorused.

Claudia left the Ravenclaw tower only to find Evan leaning against the wall smoking a cigarette. She frowned at the sight.

"Fancy seeing you here, Sunshine," he said as he had that old familiar menacing smirk on his face.

"Smoking kills, you know," she said coldly as she started walking, not caring if he followed her or not.

"So do you, Sunshine," he said as he ran up next to her and threw his cigarette away, using magic to get rid of it completely. She stayed quiet, not reacting at all to his flirtatious remark.

On the inside she was, however, reacting to it as she felt the need to vomit once again.

"So, are you not going to say anything Sunshine?" Evan asked in an almost annoyed tone, and she merely nodded at his question.

"Then I guess I'll do the talking."

James, Sirius and Peter were all running underneath James' invisibility cloak as fast as they could to get away from Filch, since they had just dyed his hair a bright bubblegum pink. With the map in James' hands, they then stopped abruptly.

"Hey, look!" James whispered to his friends as he pointed to Claudia and Evan on the map. "They're right there!"

They were indeed right there. Claudia and Evan turned the corner right in that moment, and that's when the Marauder's realised that the two were in some sort of argument. Their feet felt practically glued to the ground as they stood watching the two.

"Can't you just take no for an answer?" Claudia hissed at the boy as she stopped abruptly, him mirroring her action. "I'm not going to Hogsmeade with you, not now, not ever!"

"But I think you are," Evan hissed back.

"I just said no?" Claudia stated confusedly, but Evan said nothing, so she just scoffed and started walking again.

"I know what you've done," Evan called after her, which caused her to stop abruptly and turn around.

"What?"

"I know what you've done," he repeated, the smirk reappearing in that moment.

"Well then, fill me in because I have no idea what you're taking about!"

"I know that it was you who pulled that prank on us. I also know that you've been fraternising plenty with those filthy bloodtraitors with those ridiculous nicknames! The Marauders!" He said with a disgusted tone, and then continued. "And that filthy mudblood with red hair! Evans!" He said as he chuckled in an evil tone.

Then, he walked up closer to her and opened his mouth - only for him to let out a yelp instead of what he was about to say.

James couldn't help it, he dragged his friends towards the Slytherin as soon as those words had left his mouth.

It was one thing to call him a bloodtraitor - he couldn't care less about that.

It was also one thing to make fun of him and his friends' nicknames - it annoyed him a bit, but he was confident enough to not care too much about it.

But to call Lily Evans a "filthy mudblood" - that was truly completely and utterly evil.

So, James kicked Evan hard on his leg, which was the reason behind that yelp.

"Did you just kick me?" Evan hissed at Claudia, who was completely befuddled over the sight of the always ever so confident boy clutching his leg in pain.

"No! Are you mental?" She exclaimed. "I think you would have seen if I kicked you!"

"But somebody fucking did you stup-" he let out another yelp as Sirius kicked him this time. Claudia could have sworn she heard a small snicker from somewhere, followed by a hushing sound.

"What the fuck are you doing?" He hissed at the girl, letting out a third yelp as Peter kicked him. "Stop!"

"Stop with what exactly? Can't you see that I'm just standing here?" Claudia hissed back at him.

"God, you're such a stupid little bitch!"

That's when all three of them kicked him several times each. They kicked him hard. And he was practically losing his balance due to it, since he couldn't see were the kicking was coming from.

Then Claudia caught a small glimpse of someone's foot, which caused her to frown, but she forgot about that as Evan fell to the ground with a painful cry.

Peter had punched him right in the stomach.

And then, Claudia felt a strong force drag her away, as if someone was leading her away with their hands on her back.

"Where the fuck are you going? We still have like twenty minutes left!" Evan yelled after her as she was dragged away by the three boys, unbeknownst to her.

"I have no idea where I'm going!" She yelled back, but laughter soon got to her as the boys rounded the corner with her and she could hear Evan yelling after her to stop. She swore that she heard another snicker.

"This isn't over Maple!" She heard Evan yell, before his voice was completely drowned out.

And then, just like that, Claudia was back in front of the Ravenclaw Tower entrance.

"What in the-," she chuckled under her breath as she answered the riddle and walked back up to her dorm.

"And the way you punched him right in the gut! I swear I was about to burst into laughter!" Sirius exclaimed as the three boys entered the dorm room, all of them laughing, only to find a tired Remus all cooped up in his bed, wrapped up in blankets, with an amused look on his tired face.

"What is it?" He asked curiously, although with a hint of exhaustion.

"You won't believe what just happened!" Peter gushed as all the boys sat down around their fourth friend on his bed.

"What?" Remus chuckled.

"Okay, so first we dyed Filch's hair pink." James began.

"Which truly was a sight for sore eyes." Sirius continued.

"And then we ran away from him, only to find Maple and Evan Rosier during their patrol, at least that's what we think they were doing." Peter said.

"Yeah, that's what they were doing," Remus confirmed, as Peter's eyebrows knitted closely together.

"Anyways, he was being a complete git to her, trying to get her to go to Hogsmeade with him," James explained, as Remus rolled his eyes over Evan's behaviour. "And then he started, like, threatening her? I don't know why but he was being a real arse about the fact that she's spoken to us like one time and also about the fact that she hangs out with Lily. Mind you we were wearing the cloak the entire time. Anyways, and then he called Lily the M-word, and I kind of lost it, so I kicked him right on the leg!" James laughed.

"And then I kicked him!" Sirius exclaimed with a confident look on his face.

"And then I did it too!" Peter said proudly.

"And then he said something even shittier to her so we all kicked him several times!" James laughed.

"And then Peter fucking punched him right in the gut!" Sirius added, which caused Remus to pat his friend on the back as he congratulated all of them on their success, which it was just because Evan Rosier was the victim.

"How is Cl- Maple?" Remus then asked his friends out of curiosity.

"She was really confused of course since she never saw us, but we got her away from him and she laughed about it so I think she's fine." Sirius said, "Though he did say their conversation wasn't over, so I guess we have some more helping-out to do." He stated as they all nodded.

"Ah, having a saviour complex is purely fantastic," James said as he lunged himself onto his own bed, not forgetting to ruffle Remus' hair, Sirius and Peter following suit.

"I'm pretty sure she can take care of herself though," Remus stated as he moved his attention back to the book.

James and Sirius fell into a deep slumber almost immediately, but Peter was sat thinking about something.

"Anything on your mind, Moony?" He asked his friend who was finishing up the last pages of his book, still covered in blankets.

"Not really, no, why'd you ask?"

"No reason," Peter shrugged as he rolled over to the other side of his bed. "Sweet dreams."

"Sweet dreams, Wormtail."
