Backstory (that links them together); they were in the middle of a nasty fight and both of them ended up getting kidnapped by an evil scientist, and were then sewed together. They escaped the facility and tried to get help but were mocked and thrown out of their homes for being called a monster, they realized they had to push back on the world and turn to a life of crime in order to survive.
