The Ruby Pure Heart glows which brings strange beings know as gem that appear like humans. The heroes of Pure Heart Valley investigate, meeting the one and only Steven Universe in the process. So while the gems try to figure out how to get back to Beach City, Steven hangs out with Mao Mao and co.

A long time ago, Blanc Diamond and her onyx,Mao Mao were supposed to conquer Pure Heart Valley. Though as they explored,  two came to love the valley ,and all that live there. They start a rebellion, Blanc takes the new identity of Willow Quartz. There they met Amethyst Badgerclops, a gem who was left alone in a kindgarden. The next was a small sapphire known as Adorabat who the gems helped, see a different path than the one she was made for. Finally, they met a fusion of an opal and a pearl. The pearl was Night and the opal was her assignment, King Snugglemagne. The two were on the run for fusing in Shin Diamond court. They join the gems for being accepted and existing as Pure Opal. As years passed, the war ended and only few gems survived. Willow Quartz met Sage, the two fell in love and Willow gave up her physical form to bring her daughter, Yuki into the world. Now it is up to Yuki and the gems to solve all the messed that Blanc caused.
