~part 32~

"Ahh, your house is back after the raid." He said, looking around at the familiar place, picking up a few objects along the way and observing them. He put down his empty cup.

I began picking it up.

"No no, it's all right. I'll put it back." He nipped into the kitchen, meanwhile - I quickly texted Faisal to say everything was going well.

He came back with a broad smile.

"A year ago." I said surprisingly with a laugh, as I saw him staring at a picture of me and my mother.

"Yeah.... I just need to catch up I guess..." he laughed uneasily.

"I can help you with that." I looked him in the eye and he stopped at the foot of my bed.

I realized the atmosphere had turned eery.

"Sidd.... I've been wanting to tell you something since -"

His phone rang.

Dammit.

It had to ring just as I was making my crucial move.

"I'll call you back." He said quickly and hung up, obviously eager to spend time with me. I felt I had accomplished that comfortableness between the two of us.

I headed off to the kitchen and poured in some drinks. Making sure Sidd wasn't near, I put in a tablet which would numb the mind and hopefully make them sub conscious of their speech.

I smirked to myself as I held up the glasses.

Upon arriving at my bedroom, I saw that Sidd was leaning over the balcony and turned to me in surprise when he saw the drinks. I smiled naughtily.

"We've just had a cup..." he pointed out with an awkward smile.

"I insist." I said, trying hard to not grit my teeth.

"But I'm a bit full...."

I lowered the tray in fake misery and acted like I was hurt.

"Okay okay. Give it." He held out his hand. I smiled instantly and laughed. My eyes didn't move even a millimeter as I watched him gulp it down, not pausing to rest. My lips twitched but I tried not to show my pleasure.

He blinked at me slowly, signaling that he was losing his consciousness.

I circled him as he started swiveling on his feet, losing his balance. I pushed him onto the bed and tied his wrists to the side.

"Tell me, Sidd....." I whispered, leaning into his ear and gently pressing my lips on his ear. By the touch of my skin, he closed his eyes and smirked - obviously not in his usual form.

"I'll tell you everything...." he replied back, leaning in closer with half shut eyelids.

"Really? Then we would have to stay here all night." I whispered again, failing at this seductiveness although I was doing pretty good for someone like me.

I cringed at myself in the mirror before me, but decided I to put a cover over it. Mate - it was distracting okay?

"Tell me allllll about Jannat." I mused.

He stopped and opened his eyelids gently, eyeing me.

I gulped slightly, hoping he wasn't his usual self.

To my relief, he smirked and eyed me carefully.

"Why do you want to talk about her when it's just me and you here tonight?" He replied.

"Er - well.... I just wanted to know if I'm the only person you love. Or did you love her too?" I grunted and pretend to look away.

He caught my wrist from the side of the bed and pulled me nearer.

A tiny scream escaped my mouth as I found my lips inches away from his face.

"No. She is my past and she can never replace you."

I felt my insides turning cold.

"Past?! This means you were in a relationship with her?" I pouted in pretense.

"No.... she can never be as good as you. She was a burden. She will stay as a nightmare for me."

"Oh.... that's good to know. May I ask what she did in order to..... I mean - what did she do to make you so angry!?"

"Many things...." he tilted his head back like he was time traveling back to those memories.

"Like what?" I began to get impatient.

A few minutes of silence passed by, in which only the steady ticking of the clock beside us kept my ears cocked.

"I murdered her, Reem." He looked at me innocently and pulled me onto his chest.

I gasped inside. So he never was lying. He did murder her after all.... something didn't make me convinced. I felt tears pricking the back of my eyelids as I tried to digest the truth. It certainly was bitter. The guy whom I had spent so much time believing, so much time trusting, spent no time in telling me that he had murdered one of my friends.

"Umm... okay but - uhh... can you -" I stopped, realizing that he had pressed a finger to my lips so that not a sound could come out.

He leaned into the crook of my neck and I moaned unwillingly.

"Sidd - please can...."

He continued to kiss me along my neck, and I don't know how many hours passed by until he finally fell unconscious and I could escape from him....

I apologize for the shortness of the chapter but hope you liked it! I wanted to make it a bit more darker and mysterious so I respect your opinions on it :) please do comment and feedback some advice.
