~part 1~

Reem Sameer Sheikh. International Scholar.

Ahhh, good old college days. Those were the best.

Adrenaline level records, room mate problems, those stupid cat fights, teacher roasting sessions, oh and of course! Faisal's new jerky dance moves with Roshni's you tube videos. That was the cherry on top, I mean it!

When I sit back with my cup of coffee today flicking through our year book of London school of Economics ten years later, I laugh over all those crazy pictures of me and my friends. But one especially, who made me fall for him, loved me, teased me, pissed me off at times, and even betrayed me; his name was Sidd.

💓

"Reem. Congratulations - you have got an honorable place at London school of economics. I'm proud of you my daughter."

That was probably my first ever proper achievement.

For me, it was just textbooks, schools and admissions. All those rainy days I spent countless hours trying to solve those trigonometric monsters, and learning all those dreadful formulas who were my best friend.
Even a beautiful summer's evening was spent locked inside a bedroom, my head engrossed in a book and no connection with the world around me whatsoever.

My feet hardly stepped outside, my pencil was never off the paper. My wrist could never pause and appreciate the world around me.

My ambitions were solely education; nothing else.

My family were proud of me, they had the money to spend on me for everything, they had the patience and most importantly, they had the trust. The trust that believed in me for never following the wrong path; the trust that believed me to never break somebody's heart.

Everyone I knew respected me for my scholar name. Everyone gave me the love and respect for my achievements and my mother bragged and bragged to whoever she possibly could, even to the neighbor's part-time maid.

I got the world's highest amount of support and encouragement, yet I still felt the need of something more.

I still felt I was lacking something...

New book, new situation. A modern story based on youth problems which youngsters like us can associate with. This book was a request so hope you like it ;) first chapter was short, it was an intro. Please continue reading; it will be longer and very exciting! Thanks new family! X
