In the middle of the night, Sonic could hear loud drumming sounds coming from his brother's room. He tried to sleep it off but it was to loud. He could also hear the neighbors complaining about the noise. Sonic groaned and went to his brother's room. He saw Manic playing with his drums.

"Manic!" Manic couldn't hear Sonic so he shouted again.

"HEY MANIC!" Manic stopped playing and looked at him.

"What's up bro?"

"It's 3 in the morning. What are you doing?"

"What does it look like I'm doing?"

"Well I can't sleep with all that noise and neither can the neighbors."

"Well that's their problem."

"Just go to sleep!" Sonic left the room.

"Gees bro. Calm down." Manic's necklace began to glow as his drums disappeared. Manic went to bed and fell asleep. The next day, Sonic was eating breakfast while looking very tired. Manic came downstairs with a smile.

"Morning bro! How did u sleep?"

Sonic growled quietly to himself while he continued to eat.

"Smells good bro!" Manic sat down and began to eat. After breakfast, Sonic and Manic went for a walk when suddenly, Manic spotted a rich looking store. Sonic saw this and glared.

"Don't even think about it."

"You're no fun Sonic."

"Stealing is not fun. It's a serious crime."

"Oh come on! Rouge does it." Sonic groaned as they kept walking. Suddenly Manic stopped walking as he turned his head while looking at you.

"Yo Sonic. Is that a friend of yours?"

Sonic turned his head and saw a A/T with Shadow."

"Oh yeah that's Y/N. She's our new friend to the team."

"Oh cool. I'm gonna go say hi." Manic walked towards you and Shadow.

"Sup dude and dudette." You looked at him and said,

"Oh hello!"

"I'm Manic, Sonic's brother. I hear you are a friend of his."

"Yeah I am. I'm Y/N The A/T."

"Nice to meet you." "So you're back huh?" Shadow asked.

"Yup! Nice to see you again Shadow." Sonic walked towards them.

"Hey guys."

"Hi Sonic!"

"You didn't forget the day of our race did you faker?"

"Of course not but 'somebody' decided to stay up late and wake me up."

Manic laughed nervously while rubbing his neck.

"Well we'll see you guys later."

Y/N said as she left with Shadow.

Manic looked at Sonic.

"You're having a race today?" "Yeah but I gotta try to keep myself awake now." "Can't wait to see you win bro." "Thanks Manic. I'm gonna need it."
