"Car crash. A female in her twenties, brown hair."

Everything after the crash just seemed like a blur. They took me into the hospital with a few broken ribs. Why didn't they just let me die?

"Ms. Orzechowski?" A young doctor asked me as he tapped on my shoulder.

I groaned as I opened my eyes to see this doctor babbling on and on about ways to stay positive.  While he was in the middle of talking, my parents rushed into the room.

"Oh Sarah! Are you okay, honey?" My mother asked in a worried tone.

"Mom! I'm fine! Let the doctor talk!" I said as he whispered 'thank you' to me.

"As you know, Sarah has been diagnosed with depression. Please make sure she doesn't stay cooped up at home. Let her out for some sun," The doctor said to my mother.

"Let her out for some sun? I can take care of myself! I'm not a dog and I'm definitely not disabled like some other people in this hospital!" I screamed as the other patients stared at me.

"Thank you doctor. Let's go Sarah." My mother said as she grabbed my belongings.

Before we left, I apologized to the doctor.

"Hi, I just wanted to say sorry for bursting out at you. I might as well say it before my mother does; that was unacceptable," I said as I scoffed.

"No worries. It's kind of my fault for talking about you like that. It's the protocol. Sorry," The doctor said as he looked down.

"What's your name?" I asked him with a bright smile.

"Andy." He said as his smile slightly showed.

"Would you like to go out sometime Andy?" I asked him with confidence.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Here's my number," Andy said as he handed me a card.

"You should probably get going before your mom gets upset." Andy said with a small laugh.

"Yeah, yeah. You're right. I-I'll call you!" I said as I ran off to my mother.

"Sarah! Come on!" My mother shouted as she honked the horn.

She drove me home and this was the happiest I was since Brendon got taken to the nut house. I had a good feeling about Andy. He seemed nice.

"Your stuff is in the trunk. Hurry up and take it. I have to go somewhere." My mother said as she unlocked the car door.

I grabbed my things and headed into my house. The "for sale" sign was in front of Kylie's house. Let's hope my new neighbours are nice.

The first thing I did when I got home was call Andy.

"Hello?" Andy said in an uplifting tone.

"Hey Andy, this is Sarah! The crazy Sarah from the hospital haha." I said as I jumped onto my bed.

"The only one I know," Andy said, chuckling.

"Are you free later on?" I asked him with my heart full of hope.

"Ah no, sorry. I work night-shift. Would you be cool with getting coffee at like seven in the morning?" Andy said in a serious voice.

"Yeah, that sounds like fun." I said with excitement.

"Wow. You're actually the first girl who accepted my coffee date... which makes you extra special." Andy said, making me blush.

"Haha, okay I'll call you tomorrow morning." I said as I hung up.

7:00 A.M:

"Hello?" I said when I answered the phone.

"Hey, it's Andy. I'm outside."

"Okay, I'm coming out now. Bye." I said as I rushed to lock up my house.

"Hey Sarah! You okay with just going to Starbucks? Sorry it's pretty basic for our first date." Andy said to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine with anything." I said with a big smile.

We drove to Starbucks and sang along to Blackbear the whole ride.

"So I'm guessing you like Blackbear? Haha," I said to Andy as we sat down outside.

"Yeah, yeah. I love the beat in his songs and the lyrics are great," Andy said with a big smile.

"I agree! Okay, I'm gonna go order. Do you want something?" I asked Andy as I took out my wallet.

"Just a cinnamon dolce is fine," Andy said with a smile.

I went inside to order our drinks. I saw a familiar face.

"Orzechowski? That you?" A female voice said from behind me.

"Yeah, it's me Nicki!" I said as I tried to hug the woman.

"Aye, don't try touch me. Heard bout' you and Brendon.." Nicki said as I felt my cheeks heat up.

"News travels fast, doesn't it?" I said with a chuckle.

"Everything alright, Sarah?" Andy said as he walked up behind me.

"Yeah, I was just leaving." Nicki said as she walked away.

"You gonna tell me what happened?" Andy asked me.

"It's a long story... that I will tell you with coffee haha."

I ordered the two drinks and had to wait about ten minutes. I sat back down with Andy and that's when it all went downhill.

"Okay, you can pay me back by letting me choose the place we go on our second date." I said as I handed Andy his drink.

"I-I can't do this Sarah. I'm sorry." Andy said as got up and walked away.

"What are you talking about?" I said as I grabbed Andy's arm with force.

"This! Us! How can I trust you if you put people in asylums!?" Andy screamed out.

"Great. Thanks for telling him Nicki." I said as I scoffed.

"Andy, you were the first person who treated me normal after what happened! Everyone looks at me like I'm the bad guy but Brendon deserved it!" I shouted.

"I only treated you that way because I didn't know the truth about you Sarah! You're sick. Don't ever call me." Andy said as he left.

I sat alone thinking, what if I didn't run out of Brendon's house? Would he have treated me differently?

Did I make the right move?
