Chapter 10: "I couldn't handle it."
Brendon's P.O.V:
"Urie, get up!" The guard shouted as my feet touched the cold floor. I stood by the door and groaned. What are they doing to me now, I thought to myself.
"They're gonna take you in for questioning." The guard said as he took me to an enclosed room. A woman was sitting down with a folder in her hands.
"Hello Mr. Urie."
"Brendon is fine." I said as I took a seat.
"What do you know about Sarah Orzechowski?" The woman asked as my eyes gleamed with joy.
I cleared my throat then said, "Um, she's my good friend. The only person who really cares about me."
"Well, she came to visit you earlier today."
"What? The last time I talked to her was last month." I said in confusion.
"Yeah, she decided she didn't wanna see you. I think the word she used to describe you was 'maniac'." The woman said with an evil smirk on her face.
"No, but Sarah loves me. She wouldn't say that. I know her." I said with a scoff. I started to pace back and forth repeating, "No, she wouldn't do that. No, no, no."
"Would you please take Brendon back to his room?" The woman said to the guard. I kicked the wall and screamed.
TRIGGER WARNING !
I was pacing across my room, trying to calm down. I tried to resist the urge to hurt myself. I couldn't handle it. I grabbed a piece of glass from the window I broke a few weeks ago. I pressed the glass against my skin until I saw a drip of blood. I felt relieved in a way.
Sarah's P.O.V:
I stayed up all night, thinking of a way to get Brendon out of there. After a few hours, I came up with a brilliant plan. My first step was to get a man on the inside. The next day, I drove to the asylum and parked across the street. I didn't come out of my car until I saw the perfect bait.
I casually walked out of my car and bumped into a tall man walking past me.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there." He said to me.
"Am I that short?" I said to him, giggling.
"Are you serious? I would kill to be short! Do you know how many times people have asked me, 'Dallon can you grab that for me?' I hate being tall!" He said in a serious tone.
"Dallon. Cool name. I'm Sarah. Sarah Orzechowski." I said as I gave him a high five.
"What's the haps! I am so sorry. I regretted saying that once I heard it come out of my mouth haha. I tried to sound cool but I ended up sounding like some lame dad." Dallon said as he sighed. I couldn't stop laughing.
"I'll just pretend I didn't hear you say that." I said as I continued to laugh. Dallon and I ended up going to my house.
"You got a cool place." Dallon said as he examined every room in my house.
"So, what do you do for a living?" I asked Dallon.
"Oh, I work at the asylum as a doctor." Dallon said as he took a sip of his beer.
"That must be fun.." I said with a grin.
"Do you mean that in a good way or a bad way?" Dallon asked.
"You can't tell me you 'love' your job! Aren't you scared of those crazy people?" I asked in fear.
"Don't worry about me Sarah. I'm a big boy." Dallon said as he chuckled.
"One of my friends got taken to the asylum a while ago, Brendon Urie. You ever heard of him?" Dallon asked as my chest got tight.
"Um, yeah. I've heard of him before." I said just as my heart dropped.
"He's a pretty cool guy. I don't think he belongs in that place. I mean, haven't we all done things we regret?" Dallon said as a smile formed on his face.
"Sorry Sarah but I have to get going." Dallon said as he grabbed his coat.
"NO! I mean, don't leave just yet. Let's.. play a game. A board game!" I grabbed the same board game that Brendon and I played together. *war flashbacks ahshshxhhs*
"Yeah, yeah. That sounds fun. Did you know that board games first started in China?"
"Really?" I asked him.
"Y-Yeah. Totally."
I sat down next to Dallon and as he moved his hand closer to mine, I suddenly realized busting Brendon out of the asylum just got a whole lot easier.
