Chapter 6
You are not alone, if you are lonely. When you feel afraid, you're not the only.
We are all the same, in need of mercy.
To be forgiven and be free.

A couple days later, Mandy arranged for a babysitter and headed to the gym with Caleb.
"This place has grown." Caleb remarked as he looked at the outside.
Mandy nodded as she pulled the keys out of her pocket. "Last year. They added on a swimming pool."
He followed her to the back, where she inserted a key and unlocked the door.
"They still let you keep a key?" Caleb asked as Mandy pulled the door open.
She walked inside, then turned to a control panel and typed in a code. "Yeah." Was her reply.
Caleb closed the door behind himself, then followed Mandy down the hallway; until they were in the large trampoline area.
As Mandy turned on the lights, a smile came to her face. She quickly set down her bag and pulled off her coat, shoes and socks; then ran out to the largest trampoline.
Caleb watched her as he took off his own coat, shoes and socks. Mandy launched into a series of flips, then ended by landing into the splits.
"What are you waiting for?" She asked him.
That was all the motivation Caleb needed. He ran out to the trampoline and did a backflip.
Mandy laughed. "Dance with me." She said, holding out her hand.
Caleb hesitated. "Are you sure you're ready?" He asked.
Determination flashed in her eyes. "If I'm not ready now, I won't ever be." She replied simply.
Caleb nodded, then took her hand.
Mandy climbed onto his shoulders, and he put his hands on her feet. His gaze met hers, and she nodded.
Caleb bounced up a couple times, then bounced again, this time pushing Mandy off his shoulders into the air.
She did a a double flip before landing on the trampoline; then turned to her brother. "That was awesome." She told him, excitement radiating off.
Caleb grinned, then put his hands around her waist. Mandy put her hands on his shoulders, and wrapped her legs around his waist.
Caleb jumped, and Mandy lifted her legs into the air.
A couple hours later, they made their way to the bench on the other side of the room.
Caleb took a drink of water from the bottle they brought, then handed it to Mandy, who did the same.
"That was amazing." Mandy remarked.
Caleb nodded. "It makes me wonder." He agreed.
Mandy smiled sadly. "Sometimes..." She trailed off.
"You wish you would have kept going?" He asked, watching her closely.
She shrugged. "We all decided our run was over."
Caleb nodded as he took a swig of water. "Five years was a great run."
Mandy sighed, looking at the trampoline. "It was. We have our awards, and it's always cool when someone remembers me."
He nodded. "Rainer said that in one of his letters."
Mandy smiled. "Being in the air reminded me of all we did. Forever ago."
"It makes us feel close to them." Caleb finished for her.
Mandy nodded again as she stood up. "Well, maybe someday I'll train someone. But for now, that isn't what I want to do."
Caleb stood up and they walked over to their things. "Well, maybe someday will come sooner than you think."
