In the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus.

"You're really twins?" Jason asked Caleb as he took a sip of coffee out of his mug.

   "Yep." Caleb replied.

   "Wow."

Caleb grinned as he set his mug down. "Is it really that hard to believe?" He asked.

"Not that you're siblings. That I could tell as soon as I met you two. But you look so much older than her." Jason tried to explain.

"That's what the military does to a person. You should know that." Caleb told him.

Jason nodded. "It does seem to make you age faster."

Caleb sighed. "Yeah. I'm sure it's easier if you don't have anyone worrying about you."

Jason was quiet. "Probably." He replied.

"Did you have someone waiting for you? Someone to want to come home to?" Caleb asked him.

Jason smiled grimly. "I was married." He replied. "Still am in my mind. The Bible says you shouldn't divorce for any other reason than unfaithfulness; and we were faithful."

   "Was she saved?" Caleb questioned.

"Said so. Didn't really live the faith though. I think that's why I was always so against Christianity. She was one of the few christians I knew, and I didn't want to be like her." Jason told him.

"I've been there. But I had good Christian role models too, and many of them. They kept me on track, even when I almost veered off." Caleb replied solemnly.

"Now I'm learning, I guess. Having a personal relationship with Christ... I think that's what my wife was lacking. The relationship. She had faith in Him, but she never got to know Him."

"That is important. But so is faith. You need both. Faith is the first step, then you start building a relationship with Him." Caleb said.

Mandy grabbed her hoodie quietly as she stepped away from the kitchen doorway. She hadn't meant to listen in on Jason and Caleb's conversation; but she was interested to learn about Jason's wife.

Why didn't Commander Robin mention that Jason had a wife? Mandy wondered. And if they were both faithful...why are they divorced?

Mandy softly closed the door of the bedroom behind her as she walked in.

"Mommy? Ami's crying!" Ethan called frantically.

Mandy'a eyes widened. "Ami, sweetie what's wrong?" She asked as she kicked off her flip-flops and walked into the main part of the bedroom.

"Mommy he's going to get me! I see him!" Ami cried, holding out her arms to grab Mandy.

Mandy sighed quietly as she picked up her daughter and set her on her lap. "Amilee, you had a nightmare. He can't hurt you, you're here. I'll protect you, and so will your uncle Caleb. And Jason is downstairs."

Amilee used the back of her hand to wipe off her cheeks. "I saw him." She repeated.

Mandy hugged her daughter close to her chest. "You'll be ok. He can't get to you." She reassured the girl.

"I'll care you." Ethan told his sister.

Mandy smiled a bit at that comment. "See sweetheart?" She replied, then smiled when she saw her little girl had fallen asleep in her lap.
