I was standing a little away from the school entrance where she had instructed me to wait for her. It was freezing temperature. After 10 minutes I saw her coming out of the school gate tapping her stick on the ground she was walking towards me. I wanted to cry but I couldn't. I was about to get her when suddenly a boy of maybe 4 year old went to her and she smiled when he held her hand. He pulled her hand to made her reach his level and she knelt in front of him. I slowly walked towards them. The boy kissed her cheeks hard and gave her a lilly strand which he was hiding behind his back. Nandini touched the flower maybe to get to know the family of it.

"Lilies?" I heard her happy shout when I approached them.

"Yes!" He exclaimed back and I smiled.

"I love Lilies Rahul! Thank you!" She was smiling so widely and she kissed the boy's cheek to thank him.

Oh baby...

I reached them finally and held her hand she was still Sitting on the ground.

"Get up!" I said lowly and she held my hand tighter recognizing my touch. Rahul had gone already.

"Good afternoon!" She exclaimed and I helped getting her up.

How can you be so full of life?

"Afternoon bella!" I replied softly and without any warning she hugged me.

I was startled but couldn't resist to hug her back, before hugging her back I hesitated. But her whisper cleared all my confusions which was..

"Friendship me hug therapy is compulsory!"

I hugged her tighter forgetting myself in her for an instance until she pulled back..

"Ready for Church friend?" She asked loudly almost shouting in my ear.

How can someone be so excited for Church?

"Umm! Si..!" I said nodding my head and this time she didn't argued on my so called Italian.

She was about to start walking again tapping her stick when I held her stick. I folded it carefully and placed it in the bag she was carrying. There was a confusion on her face.

"I need this stick Manik!" She whispered sadly and I cupped her cheeks.

"No bella! You don't need anything to walk when you have me by your side!" I whispered softly tracing the counter of her cheek with my thumb all the time and her head was tucked low. I noticed her chin trembling! She was fighting with an urge not to cry.

"Oh bella!" I whispered hiding her in my embrace and she sniffed against my chest.

"Thank you for being my friend!" She said breaking the hug and I pecked her forehead.

"Always!" I whispered back. "So let's go!" I said holding her hand and suddenly excitement filled her face.

"Are you sure we are going in?" I asked nervously and as we reached the Church.

"Of course!" She said nodding her head..

"Nandini! I have never been at church before!" I finally accepted the reality and she gasped audibly.

"What???? It's your first?" She asked with wide eyes hell shocked.

Ok! It's not like I am killing someone..

"Yes!" My voice was defeated..

"Hey! It's ok! I will tell you how to be in a church! That's what friends for right?" She said squeezing my hand and I chuckled..

Ya bhi theek hai...

Then holding her hand as before we walked in the church. Benches in the hall. Jesus God! She walked forward releasing her hand from me while I was gaping at the surrounding..

"Manik! Come! Let's lit up the candles!" I heard her calling me so I approached her.

"I'll do it for you! You just sit here! You know it will give me experience!" I said politely in a way that it won't hurt her self respect because I knew she can't lit up all the candles alone.

"Yeah! Ok! Till then I will pray!" She was smiling. I nodded and she walked in front of the God's statue. I started lighting up the candles it took me five minutes. After that I turned to call Nandini to show my task was done but my words stuck in my mouth as I saw her on knees hands joined together eyes closed lips slightly parted and moving. She was praying. I looked at the statue then at her. I smiled widely that my cheeks were hurting. I kept staring at her for pretty 10 minutes her prayer was very long. Finally she opened her eyes..

"I have lit up all the candles!" I said cheerfully and she smiled. She extended her hand a gesture for me that she wanted me to hold her. In two long strides i reached her and held her hand helping her to get up.

"Good! I am done with my prayer now its your turn!" She said nodding her head..

"Well! Umm! I think I don't need to pray! "I was confused..

"Why not?" Her expressions were shocked..

"I don't know! Tum mery hisy ki bhi maang liya karo na!" I said walking outside with her and she Frowned..

"Strange!" She said with a bad face..

"No it's not bella..!" I said opening the door of my car for her and she sat in. I had lied to her that it was my friend's car.

"So! You gonna drop me home?" She asked softly a little disheartened and I chuckled..

"No cara mia! We are going to a special place!" I said holding her hand again and she let out an excited sigh..

"Ok! So take off your shoes!" I said halting the car on the special place.

"It's cold!" She pouted..

"I know but please for me!" I pleaded and she took off her shoes. "Perfect! Now come!" I said getting off the car and run towards her side to open the door. I held her hand. "Now step out slowly!" I said holding her both hand and made her stood up finally.

"The ground is so soft!" She whispered and I bent near her ear.

"Because these are flower petals!" I whispered in her ear seductively and she smiled.

Yes I had ordered Cabir for this. It was one of our secret hideout. There was so much of greenery and a lake. I had asked Cabir for the petals because I wanted to make her happy. The whole ground around lake was covered with pink flower petals.

"The fragrance..!" She whispered inhaling the scent of flowers. The dim shady sunlight fell on her face glittering her more.

"Come! There is more bella..!" I said leading her forward and the constant smile on her face was flipping my heart. We walked slowly and finally reached the lake edge. I carefully made her sit on the edge and I too sat beside her. Then palming her hand I dipped it in water.

"Oh Manik!" She whispered placing her hand on her mouth..

"You liked it bella?" I asked staring at her angel face. Her eyes were closed and she was taking deep breaths. The peace on her face was a thing which I always wanted. She was tracing her fingers in water slowly. "I asked that you liked Bella?" I asked again and she opened her eyes..

"I can feel it! It's beautiful! Thank you Manik! Best moment of my life!" She confessed staring at blankly at the water. I bit my lower lip controlling myself.

I slid closer to her and she instinctively placed her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her figure and she clutched my hoodie tightly in her fists..

"Manik!" She whispered after a long pause.

"Hmm?" I hummed tracing her hair with my fingers..

"Let's play!" She said raising her head and I was confused..

"Play what?" I asked..

"I will run and you will catch me!" Suddenly she was excited..

What...

"Bella! I don't--!" I tried to argue but she shook her head.

"Please! No one ever played this game with me!" She pleaded and I looked around there was no hurdle the ground was clean only petals were there..

"Ok! But a little only!" I said softly getting up with her and she clapped happily. Then she run forward..

"Be careful Bella..!" I shouted and walked behind her..

"Catch me Manik!" She was so carefree. I laughingly run behind her we played like this and I finally I caught her. With that I tripped and fell on the grass with her over me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and she was still laughing..

"You lose!" She was still laughing..

"Ahaan! Ok! I accept my defeat!" I said laughing with her too..

Ok! Some times losing is a good experience.

She was tired so she rested her head on my chest and lying completely over me. It was such a beautiful moment. I kissed the top of her head and shifted on the grass as now her head was on my shoulder. With close eyes she cupped my cheek and leaned closer to my lips. I waited for her and she pecked my lips lightly..

"Thank you!" She whispered near my lips and I pecked her back..

"Your welcome!" I said huskily and she snuggled in my chest. Again there was a long pause. Her one leg was in between mine two. There was no space in us.

"Sleeping?" I broke the silence..

"No..!" She whispered against my chest..

"Aik question pochon?" I asked lowly and she nodded. "How does it feel Bella?" I asked sadly and she finally raised her head..

"Feel what Manik?" Her voice was curious..

"How does it feel being umm! Being blind?" I asked biting my lower lip and she turned her face towards the sky. A tear escaped her eye and absorbed in my shirt..

Sh!t! I shouldn't have asked this. As soon as I noticed her sad I regretted my words badly.
