Manik's POV..

It was my fifth cigarette in last hour.

"You will come back right?" Her voice echoed in my office once again and I felt like loosing all over again..

"I want to touch your face..!"I traced my face same like the way she did that day..

"Your smile is beautiful..!"I smiled lightly and look at my reflection in the window pane. Her words hadn't let me slept from last 10 days. I was sleepless and helpless too.

Staring at the posh view out of the window I reached for the cigarette case to get the sixth cigarette when suddenly Cabir came and threw a file on my table. I didn't bother to pay attention at his act and turned to window lighting my cigarette. I haven't told him anything about Nandini he had asked me million times but I didn't told him nor even her name. I was about to getting lost in her thoughts when Cabir's voice snapped me out. He was saying..

"Nandini Murthy! Daughter of Rakesh Murthy! Blind! Orphan! 22 years old! Works as a teacher in Smart School of Children! Is it enough or should I tell you more?"

I turned to him gulping the lump in my throat. And he was sitting calmly, one eyebrow raised, ankle of right foot on the knee of left one staring at me! How can I forget that he can do anything! He know me more then I know myself.

"How do you know?" That's all I was able to utter..

"How do I know? You think am blind like your bella'..!" He said sarcastically and It hurt me..

"Don't talk about her like this!" I winced...

"Apologies! So I know when she stopped you by tugging your sweater! When she asked you whether you will be back or not ? The longing in your eyes said it all..! Moreover from last 10 days your ash tray is overflowing! We are going out of stock for brandy! Now will you f**king tell me what the hell is wrong?" Cabir yelled on top of his voice and I turned my face away..

"If I would have known then I would have told you already!" I spoke staring at the sky birds..

"You are in love buddy! Tu la ami Manik! (You love her Manik..!)" He spoke the words which I was afraid of since I met Shimmer.

Happy. Realization. Malhotra..

"Esci..!(Get out)..!" I spoke coldly and Cabir grunted angrily.

Good way to hide your feelings. Take a bow monkey!

"Vai all'inferno..!(Go to hell.)" He shouted throwing the file on my face and stormed out.

"Don't show off your Italian to me! Keep your ass away from my matters..!" I yelled and threw a paper weight towards him but he was too quick to dodge it.

"Sul tuo viso..!(On your face..!)" I heard his teasing shout again and I was hell frustrated as I ran my fingers in my hair helplessly. Me and Cabir lived in Italy for three years. There we worked for Italian Mafia so we learned Italian. He always teased me that he know better Italian then me. I shrugged him away from my thoughts and opened the fight which he had given me..

Aan aan! Correction! He threw the file on me..

I opened it with least interest and sat straight with a jerk. Cuz there was Nandini's photo on the front page. It was her full bio date. Her likes dislikes. DOB. Blood Group. Her timings of school. The road she takes for going and coming back. Each and every minute detail about her.

Oh Cabir. My buddy!

I read that file thousand times.

Correction again not thousand times but zillions of times.

I closed the file taking a sigh and picked up my cigarette case again which was unfortunately empty. I frowned and look at the ash tray it was overflowing. I mad a bad face and got up. I came out of my office which was in my mansion itself. I saw Cabir coming towards me. I raised my eyebrow to ask what and he gave me his cellphone..

"Your call..!" He spoke walking away. I was confused but answered..

"Hello..!" I said still confused..

"Hi Manik!" Someone exclaimed from other side..

"Sorry who's there?" I asked in an embarrassed tone..

"Rishab here!" The boy introduced himself..

"Oh Jesus! Hey Rishab! How are you young man!" I too became excited on his voice..

"Well! I should be the one asking you this because you were the one who was wounded!" He chuckled cutely and I too laughed..

This boy really makes me happy..

"Ahh! Am fine! How did you got this number?" I asked walking towards my room..

"Wo! You had called your friend na from my cell phone so the number was there only!" He explained and I laughed again..

Nandini..

"Ok! So..! Umm! How's your sister?" I asked reluctantly..

Please don't get suspicious..

"Ahh! Di! She was not well actually! She was suffering from fever since you left! The anxiety attacks were on peak! But now a days she is fine! She will be joining her job from tomorrow!" Rishab told me softly and I really wanted to die in pool of shame..

I knew she was ill cuz of me. I was the reason of her sadness..

I was about to say something when.."Rishuu! Have your dinner little brother!" I heard her voice and my heart beat stopped. The politeness of her voice made me crazy.

I wish I was with you bella.

"Yeah! Coming!" Rishab said on the phone. "Hey buddy! I gotta go! Will call you later! Take care bye!" Rishab said hastily and cut the phone. I was sitting on the bed and God knows for how long I kept sitting there holding the cell phone until Cabir came breaking my trance and wiped the wetness from my cheeks..! What?? I was crying??

"Non fare questo!(Don't Do this!)" He said holding my shoulders and I look at him. "Manik! This heart! It no more belongs to you buddy! It beats for Nandini! Accept it! Accept it before it's too late..!" His tone was very polite..

"No mahn!" I shook my head..

"Manik! Desiring is not a sin!" Suddenly his pitch became loud.

"For me it is! I can't be weak! Now out!" I shouted pushing him away and he backed off shaking his head..

"What you are doing is definitely a sin! You are hurting her! She don't deserve this" Cabir voice was a mere whisper..

"You saw her?" I suddenly asked and he nodded..

"She was looking so shattered! I don't know what magic spell you both have casted on each other in meeting of just few hours but don't hurt yourself! She deserves happiness!" Cabir again spoke and my heart exploded..

"Exactly! She deserves happiness jo usy mj say kbhi ni mily ge!" I tried to defend myself...

Bad. Attempt.

"Who are you to decide about her perspective??" Cabir roared! "Go and ask her first then come to me with your lame excuses! Get some brains monkey!" Cabir again shouted and left the room tapping his foot. I think I have irritated him alot. I fell on the bed staring at the ceiling..

I think it's enough for today. Tomorrow I will go to her myself just to see her once..!
