Chapter 2-A- Touch!

"I have opened my eyes! But I can't look at you!"She whispered in a sad tone and I frowned! 

"Why?" My tone was harsh I wanted her to look in my eyes..! 

"Because am blind!" Her words left her lips and I was DEAD! How can on earth this could happen?

Manik..! It's not as shocking as you are behaving. Anyone can be blind.? Ok shutup she don't deserve to be blind..! Wait what? How can you decide what she deserves! Stop being so dramatic dude! And get off her! Stop being an ass! 

I quickly got off her and stood up. I was embarrassed! I tried to take advantage of a 'blind' girl..! W*F! I look at her and she too sat up hugging her knees. I felt wetness in her eyes what the hell! Why was she crying now? I didn't kissed her! I held back then what the f**k was wrong with her. What should I talk to her? Awkward... Before I could say something to clear the air..

Suddenly a boy came inside the room and smiled at me..

So? Should I smile back? Of course dude! But what if it makes me look like a fool? Huhh!

I too faked a smile and he came close to me! I look at the girl she too got up from the bed and walked out..

"Hey buddy? How are you feeling now?" The boy asked softly looking at the girl who walked out without a word which embarrassed me..

Damn on your bloody hormones Manik! You ruined a moment! Awesome..

"Umm! Pretty good actually!" I spoke unsure of what to speak...

"Relax yourself here! No one will harm you!" His smile was adorable..

"Who treated me?" I asked looking at the bandages...

"Me! I am studying medical! My di found you unconscious in our backyard! So i got you here in this room and treated you..! You will be fine..!" He was telling me all the time tying my bandages again. So the girl to whom I was going to kiss was his sister..! Interesting! "So how did you got these wounds? Someone tried to kill you?" He asked looking keenly at my face and I pursed my lips I can't tell them that I was a Mafia poor people will get scared..

"Yeah! They wanted their debt! Once I had taken it from them! But I don't have the money yet so you know...!" I lied nonchalantly looking out of the door all the time trying to get a glimpse of that girl. 

Manik you are a very good liar! Wahh! I never knew...

"Ohh! That's sad! They shouldn't have treated you like this..! Anyways you can stay here until your wounds heal I am sure they can't find you here..!" He was such a polite person. But I have to go back. If HE got to know about me being here he wouldn't care and will kill these innocents too..! 

"No no! I will leave now! Or else my boss will fire me!" I said immediately..

Great! One more lie..

"Ok! So where do you work ? And where do you live?" He asked ...

"I work as a mechanic in a garage! And I live there only! I mean I spend my nights in garage I sleep there!" I again lied and the innocent buddy believed me..

"Ok enough of me! What's your name and your sister, I guess?" I asked trying not to sound too much impatient..

Come on tell me already!! Am dying to know the name of that Shimmer girl...

"Oh me! Rishab Murthy! And that is my Di! Nandini Murthy!" He introduced himself sheepishly and I smiled. Nandini..! 

"Carno(cute)..!" I spoke in a dazed tone still mesmerized under the spell of her name and Rishab gave me a confused look..

"Sorry? Did you said something..!" He asked..

"Si(yes)..!" I nodded still in a trance smiling like a fool..

Wait what ? Manik stop flaunting your Italian mahn! 

"Urrmm! Sorry! I was thinking something else! I wa--!" Before I could complete a loud cracking sound echoed in the house...

"Sh!t! Di...!!!" Rishab shouted and run out. I too run behind him and followed his trail. We reached the kitchen and Nandini was sitting on the floor near a broken glass..

"Di! What are you doing? You will hurt your hand!" Rishab said worriedly and walked closer to help her. I saw so much of sadness on her face. The glow she had when she brought the milk for me few minutes back was lost. The glow which made me lost it was no where seen now! What happened to her? Rishab made her stood up and she hide her face in his neck, hugging him. I felt her shoulders shaking..! Sh!t mahn! She was crying..

"Di! Why are you crying? It was just a glass! Relax!" Rishab tried to console her thinking that she was crying because the glass broke but somewhere deep in my gut I had a feeling that she was crying cuz of me..

Way to go Manik! One more sin is added to your 'award' list! Give a big round of applause for Monkey Malhotra...

"Ask this man to go away..!" I heard her whisper and my eyes widened. W*F!!! I didn't kissed her so that she hate me? Then what is it! I felt anger floating over my nerves but her sobs send jitters down my spine. Rishab was murmuring soothing words in her ears with that he scooped her in his arms.

"Sorry buddy! Give us a minute!" He said in an apologetic tone and Nandini was hiding her face away from me! I wanted her to look at me for once! Though I know she can't see me but still atleast she can turn her head to my side but she didn't it hurt me! An unknown pang of rejection aroused in my heart which was not at all pleasant for me. Was she angry on me for NOT kissing her?

Oh come on Manik! Why you always have a complex that girls can't resist your charm! She can't even see you well that is the worst part though it really made me hurt I don't know why..! 

Rishab walked out of the kitchen and Nandini who was hiding in his neck raised her head a little as if trying to look at me! Seriously it made my breath uneven when I noticed a pool of emotions in the eyes which had no light. Her eyes were saying so much that I needed a copy pencil to note down each word..

Ohk I know a very bad joke..

But I really needed no copy pencil cuz her every emotion crept in my heart and suddenly it started hurting I don't know what was it. She hide away her face again and my face fell.

"Am sorry! I don't know why is she behaving like this usually she is very nice to strangers!" Rishab spoke giving me a cup of coffee. He was embarrassed due to Nandini's attitude.

"Urrm! It's ok! I can understand!" I said giving him a fake smile..

f**k you! I can't understand why the hell she cried!

He kept quiet after that and I too leisurely sipped my coffee staring out of the window. I must be leaving now! Before they come back for me. I think I should call Cabir.

"Manik! I have to go to college! I have a very Important test! Di is sleeping! She won't be troubling you! Make yourself easy here and make sure to take the medicines they will help you!" Rishab said looking at his wrist watch.

"Urmm! Rishab I must be leaving! It's late! My boss will fire me!" I said looking at his face. 

"So come I will drop you!" He said getting up jerking his keys in front of me telling that he had a ride..

"No! Just borrow me your cell phone for a minute I will call my buddy he will come and get me! You will be late..!" I spoke hastily and he thought for a minute the gave me his cell phone.

I can't risk him seeing with me! Poor guy will be in trouble.

"Are you sure? You will be ok right? Sorry for being so cranky! You know doctor's concern!" He said sheepishly scratching his nape hair like a typical teenager and It forced me smile with full heart! He cares! Though he said it's only doctor's concern but I felt something warm building inside me! I feels good to be cared..

"Of course champ! I will be ok!" I assured him patting his shoulder and he smiled finally. I excused myself for the call..
