AFTER AN HOUR

Nandini was in deep thought. Thinking about her life 10 years back. How she came in the office and started working without any qualification. How she met Karan. How they became friends. There night out and what not. She couldn't believe that He ever loved her.

He was like a scary guy outside and very rude most of the time. He was only sweet to her. That explained it. That explained the reason to resign after she became the CEO. Her thoughts were at a halt by a phone call. It was the lawyer.

Lawyer: Ma'am I had called you yesterday and told that you had to come to the court. We have to complete the formalities for your divorce. Please come soon Mr. Malhotra is already at the office.

Nandini was sad on hearing this. She couldn't believe that 6 months were already over. They had spent some much together. The love making sessions they had. The possessive side of his at the malls. His cheerful face when he got to know that he was going to be a father.

She was surprised on knowing Manik was already there waiting for her. Was he some much interested to keep Manan for himself. She had to go there to know that. She left the place soon and drove up to the Court.

Lawyers Room

Nandini enters the room and see Manik sitting on the visitors chair which was right opposite to the lawyer. Manik looks up at her and swiftly turns his head towards the lawyer.

Manik (rudely): Look at her she come so lately. What does she think? I have better jobs to do than wasting time.

Nandini went and sat down. She was really sad to see Manik's changed behavior.

Lawyer: Okay then Mr. Malhotra are you ready to sing the document. then please sign it.

Manik picks up the pen hesitantly. H e looks at Nandini for once. On seeing that Nandini was not looking at him, Manik signed the document with shivering hands. Now it was Nandini's turn.

Nandini looked at Manik who was looking back at her. he had something in his eyes that made her feel that he was screaming to her to not sign the document. She looked at the document and then at the lawyer. He gestured her to sign. She took the pen and turned the pages of the document. She opened the cap of the pen and leaned forward. But before that Mukthi and Cabir barged into the room.

Nandini looked at them and sighed in relief. she threw the pen on the floor and stood up. She took the divorce papers and tore it in zillions of pieces. She then pulled Manik up on his feet and knelt down. She held his hand and looked at Cabir who assured her to start.

Nandini: Mr. Malhotra. what do you think of yourself? You will decide when we should we be together and when we shouldn't. You bloody idiot. I love you. I love to the moon and back. I don't know if I am cheesy or not but still I am going to continue till you say a yes to continue our married life. You are the guy I have loved and hated the same.

You were the one who taught me that friendship can erase the emptiness of not having parents and depression of being hated by your love. You might have not been there when you were needed the most. But the love we had made in a few months and your possessive and caring nature had filled the gap of those many years. Today I am standing like an independent individual is all because of you. You have made me who I am today and no one will take that right from you. You are bloody hell mine and that's final.

Nandini stood up and kissed him. Manik was taken back a bit. But soon reciprocated. Mukbir started clapping. The lawyer had a smile on his face. He had seen a proposal happening right before signing the divorce papres. Now lets see what will happen next.
