AT NANDINI'S CABIN

Nandini was sitting on her couch with her hands on her fore head and the elbows on her knees. She was in tears. She couldn't believe that her son had started to become like his father. Her only wish was that her son should never be like his dad but that turned out to be wrong.

Soon her trail of thoughts had stopped with a pat on her shoulder. She turned and saw Navya. Navya soon sat beside her.

Nandini: now what? Aren't you happy with what happened?

Navya: do you think that I would be happy when my bestfriend is sad.

Nandini: if I am not wrong that bestfriend is no more.

Navya: fights might happen between the two of us but I will always love you and that will always be there forever. Anyways. Today I am not talking to you as a friend.

Nandini: then what?

Navya: I am going to talk to you from a mother to another mother.

Nandini: what do you mean by that?

Navya: whatever happened today is quite common. Let me tell you about my part of story. I had decided to marry Cabir when my daughter was 6 years old as I wanted her to decide whether he was meant to be my companion or not. She had happily agreed. But soon all that happiness had vanished like thin air. Until 6 years we had no one in our life like a family member other than the two of us. But the sudden change in the family and me giving attention to Cabir and started getting her confused. She started thinking that I was forgetting her as now I felt that I didn't need her. Soon there was a fight but it was soon sorted out. Insecurities among kids are quite common between children when a new member is introduced in a family. If you will have one more child then he might feel insecure about that child too. It is quite natural. Same way over here also the same thing had happened. When you started giving attention to Manik he felt insecure. So he is not wrong in his place so are you. So go and sort it out with him. These insecurities will soon end with time but time must be given.

That was the time when Nandini's eyes had opened. Navya was right, insecurities was common in life.

Nandini (while hugging Navya): thank you so much for opening my eyes.

They soon broke apart. Now Navya asked a question with a pleading face.

Navya: now can I have my bestfriend back?

Nandini (smiles): yes you can but before that let me sort certain things between my son.

With this they left for Manan.

TERRACE

Manan was sitting on the edge of the building. Soon Manik had joined him. Manan noticed it but stayed quite.

Manik: you are lucky that you got a slap from your mother.

Manan (shooting draggers at him): you are telling me that getting a slap from my mother is good? What sort of father are you, you want to see your son getting insulted for something he had not committed.

Manik: well you have a mother to correct your mistakes and punish you. Even when I was having one that person never looked at me or took care of me the way yours did. You are one lucky guy to get such a person as your mother.

Manan: so you are telling that what I said was wrong.

Manik: well of course. Your mother had raised you up with so much love and values but in one second you shattered it. Of course she will be hurt. Even my mom would be hurt when I insult her with her upbringing. You should not used such harsh words, it hurts a lot like the slap you got.

That when Manan realized what he had done.

Manik: you have got the finest gem as your mother. Do hurt it by allowing people to question her upbringing. You should also think about her point of view. And never talk about your death in front of your mother. It pricks her heart a lot.

Manan: thank you so much for making me realize what I had done in my anger.

Manik (smiles): that's what is my duty. So friends?

Manan: why friends when we directly be father and son?

Manik (smiles widely): what?

With this the two of them hugged each other and soon left for Nandini.

AT THE CORRIDOR

All the four of them had reached the same place. All the other employees had stood up and went forward to see what was going to happen now. Even FAB6 were present. Coming to the mom and son, both were looking at each other with pain in their eyes. Both Navya and Manik slightly pushed both Nandini and Manan. Nandini and Manan looked at Navya and Manik respectively who had gestured them to move ahead. With this the two of them ran and banged into each others chest.

Manan and Nandini in unison: I am sorry.

The soon broke apart and smiled looking at each other and started rubbing off their tears.

Nandini: dare you talk about your death in front of me.

Manan: dare you slap me.

The two of them smiled looking at each other and soon hugged each other yet again. All the others were smiling at this.
