After sometime

Manan (looking at Manik): you, get me the wooden cutting board.

Manik was looking at the others, asking through eyes 'WHERE IS THE CUTTING BOARD' as he didn't know anything about cooking.

Manan (little pissed off): stop checking out your friends and get it this instant or get ready to move out of the house.

Manik ran to the other corner of the kitchen and got a wooden plate instead. Poor Manik.

Manan (angrily): what the hell have you brought? Do you even know the difference between a wooden plate and a wooden cutting board?

Cabir: yah, he doesn't know anything. Abhi was helping him in cutting the vegetables during the men working day in India.

Manik glared at Cabir.

Manan (mockingly): so Mr. Manik Malhotra, what have you planned to do over here in order to prove yourself/ you are just going to sit here and watch the cookery show or show something also.

Manik: come on Manan, me aik ladka hoon.

Manan: so tum yeh keh rahe ho ki sirf ladkiya hi cooking karne ka job mila hai. How can you have such a cheap mentality. I seriously pitty my mom in falling in love with you. The guy who can't share responsibilities is given a chance to live here. Shame on you.

Manik: Manan, I didn't mean it that way. Its just that no had ever taught me.

Manan: so you are waiting for my death anniversary to start learning how too cook?

Manik (irritated): Manan stop it. Nothing like that will happen and stop thinking about your death. I will start learning from today onwards.

Manan was a little shocked on seeing the possessive nature of Manik but ignored it as a random dialog by him.

Manan: okay then. Navya, get the cutting board and start chopping the vegetables in that basket. I will come in a minute. And the men can move out. I have another work for you.

NANDINI'S ROOM 8:00AM

Manan enters the room and sees a sleeping Nandini. He places the breakfast tray on the side table and wakes her up.

Manan: mom, wake up. Look what I have got for you.

Nandini(slightly opening her eyes and smiling): good morning beta. Wait a minute.

She looks for the time but the wall clocks were missing.

Manan: stop looking here and there. Today you are taking a day off and that's final. I have told your PA about it.

Nandini: But......

Manan: no if's and but's. go to the washroom and freshen up and then eat your break fast. After eating only you should step out of this room, okay?

Nandini (raises her head as if surrendering): you think I have a choice. At least tell me what the date.

Manan: mom go to the washroom.

Nandini (defeated): fine.

Manan moves out of the room and Nandini towards the washroom. There she sees a pair of casuals already hung with a pink note attached to it.

Nandini smiles on seeing the note and went ahead to fresh up.
