Chapter- 25

Nandani at once cut in and said "Manik can't, he cannot donate!"

"Why can't I donate? I'm even more suitable than Dhruv. Give me one reason why I shouldn't!" asked Manik in pissed tone...

Alia looked at Nandani with shock and surprise but with a heavy hint that she had suspected and Nandani shook her head [ indicating that no way should Alia let Manik donate his blood]. Hence, Alia handling the situation lied to Manik that he's not suitable because he had brain surgery before and got the nurse to lead Dhruv to donate his blood.

Alia was washing her hands before entering the surgery room, and she thought to herself, "No wonder their relationship is so good... it's because they're father and son." While waiting for the surgery to be over, Nandani felt cold and she rubbed her shoulders. Manik noticed and gave his blazer to her.

Seeing all this Nyonika ask to Manik "when Manik was so thoughtful, and to his landlady at that".

Manik replied that "Nandani wasn't just a landlady, but also his friend, and that it's Nandani and Manan who taught him a lot".

The surgery was over, and it was successful. Manik went to take Manan's belongings and when he's gone, Nyonika used that time and said to Nandini "she still met to Manik. She didn't like how every time Manik would change when Nandani turned up" but Nandani told her that "being full of justice, and wanting to help people, was Manik's true and real character".

Nyonika then further added that "Is Dhruv Manan's father" and Nandani shook her head.

Nyonika laughed and said that "she had no idea that her relationships were so complex".

Nandani found Alia and they went to talk on the rooftop. Alia thought Nandani left Manik even though she knew she had his child [ which was wrong, because Nandani only knew after she left ] but Nandani lied and said that she needed someone who would never abandon her and would stay by her side, which was why she had Manan.

Alia wanted to tell Manik about Manan, but Nandani managed to convince her that this was the best. So, let the things go as they are going.. Even if Manik knew that he was the father, he wouldn't be able to give his full attention to Manan, because he's bound to have children with Alia. She said this and left leaving Alia think over this...

Manik was angry with Dhruv for not letting him take care of Manan, but Dhruv reminded him that "he is Alia's fiance, and that he shouldn't overstep his role by being too concerned for those that had no relationship with him".

When Manik was going home, Alia gave him the bracelet and told him to wash off Manan's blood so that Manan could have it back. When they were both at home, Manik was talking to Alia about the wedding but she was distracted because she's thinking of Manan being Manik's son.

Nyonika came home to tell them that she had moved the wedding from a week later, to three days later, because she had a convocation a week later. Manan finally woke up and found Nandani sitting close to him and carenessing his forhead...

"Mamma" whispered Manan...

Nandani became happy and take his hands and kissed him... Tears were falling from her eyes... She said "Kaha chle gye the mumma ko bina btaye.. pta h mumma kitna worried thi bachha... Agr aapko kuch ho jaata toh mamma k kya hota socha tha aapne?"

"Sorry mumma Mai missu kr rha tha Manik uncle ko toh" said Manan apologetically...

"Koi nah bachha aap jyada mat bolo aaram kro" said Nandani kissing his forehead..

"Manik uncle" asked Manan looking towards the room searching him...

"Manik uncle ki shadi h na bacha issliye voo busy h abhi... aap thik ho jao fir hum milenge unse" said Nandani convincing him...

Two days later, Manik called Nandani, but she didn't pick up his call. Alia asked Manik if he really could marry her without any considerations and Manik assured her while hugging her.

When Alia left, Manik asked Lawyer Mr. Singh if he could tell him what really happened six years ago. Lawyer Mr. Singh told him he had no idea if it's a good thing or bad thing, but the sure thing was everything would change.

Manik thought for a while and said that since he's going to marry Alia the next day, he should finally put his past down. Later, he was washing the bracelet when he accidentally dislodged a memory chip inside it. He put the memory chip into the computer and it loaded, showing him photos of him and Nandani taken six years ago ( taken one day before the surgery).

As he looked at these photos in shock, he got his memory back.

All of it.

"Mamma Manik uncle shadi ku kr rhe h" asked Manan again after thinking something...

"Beta shadi toh krenge hi na uncle kbhi bhi" said Nandani..

"Toh voo aapse kr le na shadi fir Manik uncle hmesha mere saath rhenge.." said Manan innocently...

Nandani, who had no idea that something so great had just happened, told Manan her heartfelt words – "that sometimes it's also another kind of love to send someone away, knowing that he would get his happiness that way".

The next day, Nandani had to go to the church to see how much floral decorations Sarla needed to send over. Manik wore the groom's clothes but something was wrong anyone could guessed because of the determined look in his eyes and when he left his room, the photos were still playing on his laptop. There were papers lying around and the camera zoomed in to show the news about him helping Nandani to fight the mock case [ the one about her stepfather going to rape her].

In the church, Nandani saw the piano and could not help herself, but to play Air On G String on again. Manik entered the church and watched Nandani playing piano and recalled their experience on the skating rink. When Nandani stopped he suddenly just commented that "he didn't know Nandani could play the piano" which gave Nandani a shock. He told Nandani that "he needed her to help him with something" and without listening her he hold her hands and asked her to came with him.

Manik kept speeding on the roads and Nandani told him to slow down, but he said "Shouldn't you be used to this? The old Manik Malhotra used to drive like this na Nandani." and he suddenly stopped the car.

Nandani shouted "Manik!" but she realised that was the stretch of road where Manik kept running after her six years ago.

Manik asked her to get out of the car, and he asked if she had seen him running, if she had seen him slumping over after getting stabbed, and that he almost died.

Nandani told him that she didn't know about the stabbing but Manik shouted at her "Bss kro Nandani" and asked her to stop pretending.

He finally told her "I remembered everything."

Whereas other side Nyonika being in a fluster and tell Alia and his father that Manik's not in the church and someone saw him leaving with Nandani. Alia walked over to the table to call Manik, and her face suddenly changed from worry to shock, as she saw the sms that Manik sent her that had no words but an attachment of a photo -- the one that he and Nandani take 6 years ago.

Alia told Nyonika and her father that Manik had already get to know all his memory, and she slumped over on the floor in shock.

Manik showed Nandani the photo that he saved in his handphone and said "I originally didn't know what secret that your story holds... You must be so surprised that I'm still living. Turns out that the scar I have isn't because of ice skating but because of your stepfather, Maddy... He stabbed me after you left....."

"I really didn't know, Manik" said Nandani crying...

Manik laughed over this and then his eyes were red and he asked "Will you stay if you had known? What did you have told me? You told me that you will work hard together with me. How did I beg you, if you really had loved me, even if it's a little, you would have acted till the very end!" said Manik gripping her shoulders...

Nandani was sobbing while Manik told her that he would not be deceived by her tears again and said " Nandani, did you know? I love you... I really did love you. It's you who let me believe the world again, and that the world is not as bad as it is, but it's also you who destroyed my belief."

Nandani apologised saying "Sorry Manik please forgive me" but Manik shouted that "just a sorry could not help anything."

"Just when I was facing a blank life, what about you? You and Dhruv were happily living somewhere else. Tell me, without me, did you live as happily as before?" asked Manik gripping her shoulders more tight...

Nandani shook her head but Manik went on "I also lost Manan. You know that I'm his father and yet you ask Manan to call me Manik uncle. You know that I'm his father, and yet you could bear to see us being separated again, and again and make me tell Manan that I'm not his daddy!"

"Manan was my decision. He has nothing to do with the both of us.." said Nandani...

"Of course he has everything to do with us, I'm his father and Uh are his mother!!" said Manik...

Nandani tried to came out from his grip but Manik then dropped the 'bomb' that he wanted Manan and if Nandani was disagreeable, then they would see each other in the court.

And then he left her he walked back to his car, he said "Nandani, I want you to know. Regaining my memory is my fortune, but it will be your downfall. Remember this!!!"

After he left, Dhruv called Nandini to ask why the wedding was cancelled, and Nandani told Dhruv that Manik remembered everything. When Manik returned home, he informed his mother that the Manik for the past six years had disappeared and that he wanted Manan. When he left the house, he saw Alia and Alia told him that she did this(told lie that it was Alia whose blurred face he used to see instead of Nandani) because she could not bear to tell Manik that the woman he loved abandoned him.

Alia asked "To protect someone I love, so that he will not be hurt... Did I really do wrong?"

Manik turned towards her and told her that "everybody have always used me, Uh have lie to me that uh was the whom blurred image I used to see.... No one had no rights to fill my brain with what they wanted and that the one who disappointed him the most, was uh."

Alia tried to explained but Manik didn't gave her a chance and continued he thought that he could trust Alia but he realised "The more you trust, the deeper the betrayal. The more you love, the deeper the hurt."

He said that he wanted Nandani to feel what he had been feeling and he told Alia "I can understand why you did those things, but I cannot forgive you. The both of us... are over." and he was going to walk off when Alia stopped him by holding his hand and asked "Manik, you're doing this because you feel betrayed, feel hurt..... or because you still love her?" Manik didn't reply and he walked off, leaving Alia in tears.

Nandani rushed home and started packing her stuff, but Dhruv came and told her that she had no need to run even if Manik wanted to fight for Manan's custody. He told her that "the only way Manik could target her was that she's a single mother, so she should marry him".... He assured her that they had no need to be scared of Manik.

"It's an opportunity for Manan to stay by your side...and an opportunity... for me to stay by yours." Dhruv told Nandani...

Nandani nodded her head. Manik had already started gathering information to prepare for the cases and he was angry when he realised that Nandani couldn't pay for Manan's medical fees. Dhruv called Manik to tell him that Nandani and him had something to tell him the next day.

Manik was very angry at the mention of "Nandani and I" and he got his assistant to check up on Dhruv's background etc. After his assistant left, he looked at the boxes of wine that the villagers gave him before he left and he said "You want to fight with me Dhruv... Bring it on and I will play with you now."

The next day, Manik went to the village and Dhruv told him that "if he married Nandani, Nandani would no longer be a single mother and that he's confident that Manan would choose Nandani in the court."

Manik laughed and stated that Nandani would willingly give the custody over to Manik, and told Dhruv all the bad points that he could use to argue that Dhruv would not be a suitable father as he is in debt and many more things he can add further... He didn't know Malhotra power..."

Dhruv then only got a call from his mother to say that the police have came on his shop saying that they did some illegal stuff.

Dhruv rushed over to the shop and got arrested by the police on accounts of selling wine that were not authorised. Manik turned up and asked " Haww What happened Dhruv? Why the colour of your face has been drained out?"

Sarla rushed forward and asked Manik to help, but he stunned everyone when he asked "Why is Dhruv not detained yet?"

Dhruv thus got arrested, and when he was brought away, he cried out "Nandani don't worry!!!! No matter what he does, you cannot hand Manan over to him!! I would be back!!" Manik told Sarla and the village head that as long as someone tried to help Nandani, that person would be opposing Manik Malhotra...

Manik walked over to Nandani's house and locked Nandani out.

Manik saw Manan and was happy to see him. He asked "Manan uh didn't miss me beta?"

Manan replied innocently "Mumma says I should not missu too much. Ku ki aap shadi kr rhe ho na fir aap mumma aur mujhe bhool jaoge hain na.. Uh would not be always there for us"

"Daddy will always be there for you beta." said Manik with tears in his eyes...

"But I don't have a daddy na" said Manan looking towards Manik..

"You have... I'm your daddy." said Manik....

However, Manan thought that Manik was just pacifying him because Manan had always called Manik 'daddy'. Later on, Manik was very angry and he shouted at Nandani for asking Manan not to think of him. He wanted to have Manan immediately, because they had lost too much time already.

"I beg you. Manan cannot live without me, and I cannot live without him.." said Nandani while sobbing....

"You beg me?! Six years ago, when I begged you not to leave me, how did you treat me? When I begged you to give me an answer, how did you answer?" Manik said with sarcasm...

To which Nandani only cried he then told Nandani that if she wanted to stay by Manan's side, there's only one way

Nandani looked at him with hope but Manik spilled out that the only way is -- To marry me......

So, who are all shocked by the part???

Manik got his memory back and too much dhamaka wala part...
