After feeding each other, they were looking at each other but before the eyes could get lock, cabir came and took a piece of cake. His figure broke their eye lock. Cabir then first feeded Nandini saying.

C-congratulations to you.......soon to be mommy........

Then he feeded Manik.

C-and to you too........soon to be daddy.......

Manan thanked them softly. Then one by one everybody feeded Manan and they feed them back the cake. After this cake session. Chachi sat beside Nandini on left side and on right side D'Souza aunty sat. They started instructing Nandini to be careful from now on and take come rest and all.

Nandini just simply kept moving her in yes or either hhmmed for a reply. As soon as their instructions completed. Chacha and D'Souza uncle called their respective wife so that they can leave and give Manan some privacy. Nandini was abt to get up along with the ladies but Chachi stopped her saying.

Cha-tu mat uth......bethi re......aaram kar.

With that Chachi kissed her forehead and got up. D'Souza Aunty too kissed her forehead and got up. Everybody bid bye to Nandini and hugged Manik one by one before making their way towards the door. Lastly cabir met Manik and while being in the hug he said softly in his ears.

C-kitchen mei dinner bhi rakha hai tumlog k liye........enjoy.

Manik smiled at his care and cabir broke the hug. He winked at Manik and left from there. Manik walked behind everyone to see them off and lock the door properly. After everybody were out of the living room, Nandini got up and picked the cake to keep it in the fridge.

She headed in the kitchen and did the work. In the meantime Manik closed the door after they left and came in living room with a smile but it vanished on not finding Nandini there. He immediately rushed to the kitchen to see her closing the fridge. He ran to her calling her.

Ma-Nandini.......what are you doing?

Nandini was scared first cuz of sudden voice. Then she relaxed and said in a tired tone coz of being centre of attraction.

Nan-sirf cake rakh rhi ho Manik........don't make a big deal out of it.

Manik relaxed and understood her state. He came beside her and said holding her and then making her sit on their dining chair.

Ma-aacha sorry........ab yahan betho.......I'll serve you dinner.

Nan-Manik tum..

Ma-I know......but for now sit........you really need to eat okay.

Nandini bobbed her head, Manik then removed the food in proper crockery and reheated it in microwave as he knew how to operate it. Then he served it on the table and filled Nandini's plate. He sat beside her and started feeding her along with eating too.

Nandini was liking his attention and also the food as she was hungry, that's why she ate silently from Manik's hand. After they were done, Manik kept everything in the fridge and washed his hands, kept the empty crockery in sink and came back to Nandini.

He slide his hand under her knee smoothly and cupped her waist, Nandini too wrapped her hands around his neck. Manik picked up Nandini very slowly and gently and then headed upstairs in their room.

Making her sit on the bed, he got her a comfortable pair of nightsuit and gave her. Nandini went to get changed and Manik came downstairs to switch off all the lights.

Soon they came on bed and laid down comfortably. Manik took Nandini in his arms and Nandini kept her head on his chest. They were laying down quietly until Nandini spoke.

Nan-Manik.......are you happy with this na........ we have.

On hearing this, Manik's hold on Nandini got a bit firm and he slide his hand on her flat stomach. Resting his palm on it he said.

Ma-Nandini........I am happy.......and you know what this means.

Nandini got confused as to what meant what, so she asked softly.

Nan-kya.......?

Ma-it means that the baby is here to say........ daddy........marry my mommy.

Hearing this Nandini lifted her face to look at Manik and mumbled softly.

Nan-marry..........?

Manik looked back at her and said with a smile on his face and confidence in his voice.

Ma-yes.......it's a sign and time that we get married........

He shifted his head a little on pillow, away from Nandini so that he can see her more clearly and said.

Ma-so Miss Nandini Murthy........will you marry me........Mr Manik Malhotra.

Hearing this Nandini's eyes brimmed with happy tears and she just couldn't move her gaze from Manik. After 2 mins she replied very very softly.

Nan-yes.........

Manik smiled and pressed her body a little, giving her an idea to lay down back. She rested her head on his chest again and Manik holded her strongly yet safely. Manik kissed her head and said.

Ma-it's going to be the best wedding of the year.

Nandini sniffed back her tears and said cutely.

Nan-nothing matters until and unless the wedding is with you.

Manik smiled and hugged her more carefully. After this he said softly.

Ma-sleep Nandini........you need lots of rest.

Nan-tum bhi sojao........

With that Nandini closed her eyes. Feeling her eyes closed Manik too closed his eyes and exhaled a huff. Even though they closed their eyes but sleep was far away from them. Both remained quiet with the thought that the other one is sleeping.

Both were dreaming while they were awake and happy with the baby. It was midnight 3.00 am. Still both were laying down with closed eyes. At one point Nandini opened her eyes thinking that Manik was in deep sleep but when she opened her eyes Manik got to knew it and he said still with eyes closed.

Ma-tum abhi tak soi nhi.........

Hearing him Nandini again lift her head and looked at him. Her movements made him to open his eyes and Nandini asked him in shock.

Nan-tum bhi nhi soi........?

Manik moved his head in no, on this Nandini said.

Nan-neend nhi aa rhi hai........

Ma-jab haqeeqat hi itni khubsurat ho........toh sapno ki duniya mei kaun jana chayega.

Nan-true..........

Again their remained silent until this time the peaceful slumber took them away with it. Next morning Nandini was the first one to wake up. After waking up she came out of Manik's hold gently and was abt to get up but remembered abt the baby and then she got up carefully.

The first thing she did after waking up was feeling the baby. A smile adored her lips when she touched her stomach. She closed her eyes to memorise the feeling. After a brief moment she took a comfortable pair of clothes and went to take a relaxing bath.

After 40 mins she came out feeling all fresh. Getting changed and combing her hair she made way downstairs to fill her tummy for the baby. As soon as she came down, the bell rang. Nandini opened the door to find Radha tai. She let her enter in. Just after entering in Radha tai started talking.

Rt-didi........aap kaisi hai........mereko jenad aunty ne bola........aap k baaremei........

While saying all this they were in living room, Radha tai turned to Nandini, made her walk to the couch and made her sit.

Rt-aaj se aap sirf muje kaam bolegi.......mei sab kr degi........abhi aap bola aaj aap ko kya nashta krne ka maan hai........

Nandini was irritated with this "betho" thing. She tried to get up but Radha tai stopped her gently and said.

Rt-dekhiye mei aap ki koi baat nhi sunne wali.........

Just then the door bell rang and Radha tai went to open the door. It was jenad aunty. She came and saw Nandini sitted on the couch. She immediately came beside her and said holding her chin.

Mrs d- Nandini.......tu kab uthi........tune kuch khaya........uthe hi kaam toh nhi krne lagi thi na.........dekh abhi tuje tere bacche ka bahut dhyan rakhna hai........aaram krne ka bahut saara.

To which Radha tai said.

Rt-mei bhi yehi boli aunty........aaj se didi k ghar ka sab kaam mei karungi........ab didi sirf aaram karegi.

Mrs d-haan baarabar.

Rt-bolo didi aap ko kya khana hai.........

Nandini had no other option but to say her wish. She asked for egg and toast with coffee. D'Souza aunty volunteered to make an egg for Nandini as she is expert in it. They both entered the kitchen and started doing their respective work.

Nandini was showing aunty all the ingredients place and soon aunty served Nandini, hot and fresh breakfast. Nandini was eating that quietly sitting in the kitchen and gave few instructions while D'Souza aunty was keeping an eye on Nandini so that she completes the entire breakfast.

Nandini was half done with eating, that's when Manik stirred in his sleep and moved his hand on the bed to hold Nandini but he found it empty. For a min he was blank but then suddenly he realised that she is pregnant. He got up with a jerk as he thought she might be working. He jumped down from bed and rushed downstairs, almost shouting her name.

Ma-Nandini.........Nandini.

The ladies looked at the kitchen door and Manik soon found Nandini. He couldn't see Radha tai and aunty nor he could see the breakfast. He rushed to Nandini and cupped her face in both his hands.

Ma-tum kab uthi.........aur niche kyu aayi....... tum kya kr rhi thi?

Nandini eyed at the breakfast and that's when Manik saw her sitting. His half worry left him by looking at the breakfast while half worry left him by D'Souza aunty's words.

Mrs d-arey fikr mat kar dikra........woh aaram hi kr rhi hai.........sukoon se nashta kr rhi hai.

Manik looked at Nandini and bobbed his head as if saying her "to continue her breakfast". Nandini said.

Nan-go get freshen up.

Manik bobbed his head and left upstairs. After Nandini ate everything D'Souza aunty decided to leave as she had work too. Nandini guided Radha tai for Manik's breakfast.

Manik joined Nandini and Radha tai served him breakfast and then she left upstairs to clean the room and terrace and to give the couple some privacy. As Manik sat beside her the first thing he did was to cup Nandini's face again and asked.

Ma-how are you feeling........tum soi barabar se?

Nandini rested her palms on his his and said.

Nan-I am fine.......I did sleep........waise bhi I have to be fine........tumlog muje ek bhi kaam nhi krne de rhe ho.........since I am awake I am just sitting only.

Manik kissed her forehead and let his lips rest on her for a good min and then said after moving away.

Ma-it's good........full 9 months you have to be like this only and after baby's arrival you just have to take care of the baby........rest everything can be handled by others.

Nandini cribbed.

Nan-Manik........

Manik smiled at her sweet tactics and pecked her lips.

Ma-sorry but in this I can't help.

Nandini hit his biceps and then said pushing him away.

Nan-thik hai phir jao get me a slice of cake........

Manik happily got up and removed the cake from fridge, cut a big piece for Nandini, served it in a plate and then pushed the plate towards Nandini. He kept back the cake and came back. By this time Nandini had already taken a bite of cake.

When Manik sat beside her, Nandini forwarded a bite of cake to him who happily ate it from her hand. After this she got busy in relishing her cake and Manik ate his breakfast.

So marriage proposal aagaya....... happy?.......see you on Sunday. Good night bye
