Next morning Nandini woke up early than usual and after taking a good shower she got ready and headed towards the kitchen to make special breakfast for Manik.     

Radha tai had come on her time and today Nandini made her work in jet speed which is why she left early. After she left Nandini came to wake up Manik.     

Manik being aware of his day plan was extremely excited and that's why he woke up just in one attempt. As soon as he woke up and sat, Nandini sat on his lap and wished him caressing his cheek.     

Nan-happy birthday......😊      

And she leaned closer to mingle her lips with his.     

Kissing him softly and passionately, she moved back but Manik took her lower lips btwn his teeth to suck it. Breaking the kiss he took her in a warm peaceful hug and Nandini too shared her warmth with him.          

They stayed like that for a good time, after sometime still being in the hug Nandini asked him.      

Nan-don't you want to have the breakfast......     

With this she broke the hug and completed her sentence while looking at him.     

Nan-and kick start your day.      

Remembering an exciting day coming ahead bought a smile on Manik's lips and he bobbed his head cutely like a kid. Nandini smiled and got down from his lap and said.      

Nan-come on.......get up.     

He got up and entered the bathroom, Nandini got busy in making the bed. In mins Manik came out and seeing him in the same outfit Nandini asked.      

Nan-tum nahaye nhi?      

Ma-pehle breakfast........I m so excited for it.      

Being his birthday Nandini didn't bug him and both made their way to breakfast. Cmg in the kitchen Manik saw everything was ready and food covered with lids. He sat rubbing his palm and started opening that to see some yummy food in front of him.      

When he was busy in that, he noticed a cake to making place in there. He looked at it and saw Nandini standing at the opposite side with a lighter.      

Ma-ek aur cake? 😳    

Nan-yes.     

Ma-kyu?      

Nan-it's your birthday......aur it's not like k birthdays pe sirf ek cake cut krna chahiye..... there is no rule to it.      

With that she lit up the candles and forwarded the cake and knife to him.       

Nan-come on.      

With a bright smile he took the knife and was ready to cut the cake. Nandini sang the birthday song beautifully with her melodious voice and Manik blew the candle, cut the cake and bought the piece to Nandini.      

She happily had that and then made him eat too. Then she filled his plates with those variety of food and then fill her plate as well. Both enjoyed that and after that Nandini took a big piece of cake and started eating that with wafer.      

Actually she was breaking the cake with wafers rather than spoon and this caught Manik's attention. He asked.      

Ma-yeh aise kyu kha rhi ho cake?

Nan-haven't you eaten cakes like this?      

Ma-no......    

Nan-aise yeh bahut yummy lagta hai........you know when I was small I had gone to a birthday party in my neighbourhood........ waha pe they gave me a plate of cake, wafer and snacks.... but no spoons.......that day I had that cake with wafer and that tasted fantastic.......so I have this habit........aur waise bhi they are supposed to be eaten like that only........didn't you ever think why cakes and wafers are a pair.       

Ma-really?     

Nan-hhmm.......try.     

With that she feeded her bite and it actually tasted yummy. Then Manik too started eating like that. After a heavy breakfast Manik said.      

Ma-ab mei shower lekar aata ho.      

Nan-no.......don't go now.....after eating we should avoid bathing for 30 mins otherwise you will fall sick........aur abhi tumne bahut zayda heavy breakfast kiya hai.       

Ma-toh ab kya kare.    

Nan-thodi der tv dekh lo.......ya fir newspaper........even better........go water the plants.      

Manik left from there and started watering the plants. In the meantime Nandini cleaned their kitchen as they will be out for the whole day and she doesn't like to leave the house in mess.       

Soon the time passed and then Manik left to take a bath. He came down all ready for the day and saw Nandini sipping her coffee. He came beside her and sneaked his hand on her waist. Nandini smiled and rested herself on his chest and kissed his cheek.       

Nan-5 mins okay.       

Then she quickly finished her coffee and came upstairs to get ready and Manik followed her. She got ready quickly while Manik adored her all this while.

After she got ready she got something from her wallet and came to Manik.      

Nan-tumhara wallet do.     

He got confused still he gave her the wallet and saw her removing all the cash from that. Then she filled his wallet again with cash but those notes were different. She gave him back the wallet and kept the money in their cupboard that she removed from his wallet. She came back to him and Manik asked.      

Ma-yeh kya tha?     

Nan-arey it's your birthday na......toh tum tumhare paise kyu use karoge.......Isliye.     

Ma-Nandini.....hamare bich there is no mera tumhara.......it's the same and one.     

Nan-I know........but for today it will be yours and mine.........it's your day and my treat.      

With this she winked at him and then turned him around pushing him to walk so that they can leave. They closed the door properly and sat in the car. Leaving their premises they drove away. Driving after a distance Nandini asked him.      

Nan-where are we going?     

Ma-actually........I have heard abt this game...... something like Sherlock's novels.......it's mystery........I want to solve that.      

Nan-okay then let's go.     

They drove for some 25 mins and finally Manik parked his car infront of a building.     

Nan-Yeh kaha agaye hum? It looks like someone's residence,"     

Nandini said and looked around to which Manik said.      

Ma-yehi address tha.......let's go      

With this they unbuckled their safety belt and got down. Taking the lift, they reached at their destination. Manik opened the door for Nandini and they walked in to the reception. Cmg face to face Manik forwarded his hand to the receptionist and said.      

Ma-hie.......I am Manik Malhotra.......I had.      

N-oh yes........Mr Malhotra right.     

Ma-yeah......    

N-hie I m Nikhil......so do you want to start it now.      

Ma-yeah sure.     

N-okay....this way please.     

And he walked ahead to lead their way, Manik made Nandini walk ahead with his hands wrapped on her waist. They walked through the narrow doorway to the stairs leading to the basement, Nikhil started with the instructions.     

N-welcome to Mystery Dungeon, okay guys, it's pretty basic, the basement is filled with different location sets, find the clues, interview the characters and solve the mystery and yes, you have only one hour to find your way out. Here are your clues.      

Nikhil handed over a printed sheet to Manik,     

N-all the best.    

After he left Manik's eyes twinkled with happiness, seeing the activity.       

M-let's start Nandini our time has started...      

And the game began, Manik was like a kid, he wanted to solve the mystery as soon as possible, when the first clue sheet indicated to visit a library, the first thing he did was looking for some secret drawer.       

M-Nandini there should be some secret compartment here, maine Sherlock mein dekha hai... library mein koi room ya compartment hota hai.     

Nandini looked at the dedication with which Manik is trying to find the next clue, lost in him as she didn't knew that Manik have such interest as well, she was bought back when Manik called out.     

Ma-Nandini why are you standing, start looking.

he instructed her. Nandini found a drawer as Manik had said, and there was a pink key in there.     

Nan-Manik, see yeh key mili hai.     

she said standing up.      

Nan-looks like a diary's key to me.     

Ma-Let's ask Elena some questions.     

Manik suggested. They headed in a bed room's setup and saw lady sitting there playing the role of Elena, who's aunt's murderer they were trying to find.    

Ma-Elena, do you maintain a journal?     

Asked Manik and seeing the lady sitting in like a ghost scared Nandini and she gripped Manik's arms strongly. While the lady replied in a aggressive tone to play the act.       

"Yes, I do," she answered     

Ma-Can we see it?     

Asked Manik and got a reply from her.       

L-It's in the study.     

As she said that Manan walked to another setup. There they found a journal on the floor, picking it up, it was locked, using the key they opened it and the revelation about Stella's (the victim's nurse) hate towards the victim came to picture and within 45 minutes Manik and Nandini solved the mystery.      

They came to the reception and Nikhil showed them the stop watch that he switched off right now and congratulated Manik on the exceptional performance. Manik then asked.      

Ma-how much do I have to pay?

N-its 4000 rs.......     

Manik fished out his wallet and paid to him receiving a bill. Manik was stuffing that in his pocket when they heard Nikhil saying.      

N-Mr Malhotra.......is it your birthday today?      

Ma-yeah.......but how did you know that?     

N-happy birthday.      

And he offered his hand which Manik took politely. After they took back their hands Nikhil said.      

N-it's just social media.      

Ma-ohh.......anyways thanks buddy......     

N-ohh your welcome......bye.     

Ma-bye.     

Manik made a move to leave and Nikhil smiled at Nandini who then said.      

Nan-thank you.     

N-your welcome ma'am.      

With this Manan left from there, again while driving Manik asked.      

Ma-now what?     

Nan-you say......where do you wish to go?     

Manik thought of something and then said shrugging off his shoulders.      

Ma-I don't know......I have no idea.    

Nandini too was thinking about it but seemed like nothing was clicking them. So they suggested to say all the possible places they could go.      

Ma-movie?    

Nan-do you want to watch any coz I have no plans to watch any.     

Manik thought of recent release that might attract him to spend his time but nothing was there.      

Ma-nhi.......kuch interesting nhi hai.....    

Nan-racing........    

But before they could go deep in thoughts Nandini only said.      

Nan-nhi that will not be counted as common people acts......      

They again started thinking and just then they crossed by a beach to which Manik said.     

Ma-beach chale?    

Nan-noways......aaj dhup bahut hai.......reati (sand) bahut gharam hogi......pair jal jayenge......aur upar suraj.......bimar padh jayenge........beach pe hum shaam ko aayenge.       

Ma-then marine drive?     

Nan-it's one and the same wahan pair nhi toh bums jal jayenge.      

Ma-toh fir kya karenge.......lunch ka time bhi nhi hova hai that we can opt for a restaurant or something like that.      

Nandini was thinking and then suddenly an idea popped in her mind, she asked being extremely excited.      

Nan-tumne kabhi window shopping ki hai?      

Manik looked at her for once and then focused on the road back and replied.     

Ma-nhi.......    

Nan-perfect......    

Ma-Nandini window shopping kaun krta hai?      

Nan-common man krte hai........window shopping is like going out of Sunday's place..... time pass.     

Ma-aur agar kuch psnd aagaya toh?     

Nan-toh hum kharid lenge......paise toh hai na hamare pass.      

Ma-tum krti thi window shopping.      

Nan-I use to.......but I use to save as well..... so that when I go for that and by fluke kuch psnd aagaya toh I don't have to think twice......and all that was coz of baking......it helped me a lot.......but I still prefer to shop from streets.      

Ma-hhhmmm......were do we go.      

Nan-I haven't seen phoneix mall......jo kurla mei hai........let's go there.     

Ma-okay.     

After an hour drive they reached there, they parked their car in the basement and headed to reach upstairs.
