Manik took a bite of his burger while Nandini sipped her soft drink. Once Manik was chewing his food he forwarded his burger to her to take a bite but Nandini palmed his burger and said.

Nan-nhi.......ismei chicken hai.......

Manik swallowed his bite and then said.

Ma-so what.......at least try.......bahut yummy hota hai........high in proteins.......

Nan-bol toh aise rahe ho jaise khud proteins k liye kha rhe ho shauk k liye nhi........

Ma-hhhmmm woh toh hai lekin tumhe khana chahiye........it's very tasty.........

And he again offered a bite from his burger but Nandini showed him her warning eyes and said.

Nan-bola na nhi........don't spoil my appetite...

Saying this she unwrapped her burger and both took a bite from their respective burgers. While chewing Manik said.

Ma-tum isse chicken samj k khaogi toh tumhe nhi aacha lagega.........think as normal food toh you won't feel yuck........aur fir kya hai.....tumhe taste aacha lagega and then you won't be able to resist........just like you can't resist me.........

Nandini giggled and said.

Nan-kyu tum murge ho?.........(mocking tone).......can't resist.......

All the smirk and winks of Manik's vanished when he heard that and he kept his burger on tray and asked in a sarcastic tone.

Ma-tum lawyer kyu ban rhi ho.........tumhe janwaro se zayda pyaar hai..........toh unki dr hi ban jati........jab dekho tab tum muje kabhi bakra toh kabhi murga bana deti ho.......

Nandini giggled at his tone and took her another bite while Manik too resumed eating. Nandini offered him her burger and he took a bite from that. After not getting any reply he said her in challenging tone.

Ma-ek din toh mei tumhe chicken zarur taste karoga.......yaad rakhna........

Nan-we will see...........

They ate until they completed their meal. Once done Nandini asked.

Nan-chale..........?

Ma-hhmmm.......

They stood up and Nandini picked up their tray so Manik asked.

Ma-kya kr rhi ho........?

Nan-we will throw this.......

Ma-aur woh kyu.......koi staff utha lega.........

Nan-kyu........hamara jutha aur koi kyu saaf kare........aur waise bhi dustbin hamare on the way hai.....so we can do this.......

Saying this she walked ahead and then reaching the dustbin she pushed the tray and emptied the empty wrappers. She kept the tray above the dustbin as it had shelf and then walked towards exit with Manik following her.

Cmg out she turned a little so that she can look at him and Manik can come beside her. Once he was beside her she said.

Nan-dekha hath bhi nhi lagana pada dustbin ko..........

Manik just moved his head in every direction and then unlocked his car and moved ahead towards his seat. Nandini too came beside and both settled down. Manik then dropped her home and came back at mansion.

Nandini came home, changed, had her evening cup of tea and then laid down on her bed scrolling through her phone. Just an hour before dinner she took her books and went through important points that she had noted in her mind to get completely ready for tmrw's paper.

Post dinner she came on bed to sleep after completing her night routine. She laid down with her books and was going through it and slept unknowingly.

Next morning she woke up 15 mins late then her usual time. Waking up she looked at the time and freaked out seeing the time.

Nan-shit.......I m late........aiyappa mei itna kaise so gayi.......Chachi ne uthaya bhi nhi......

Saying all that she searched for her phone and soon got it. She immediately dialled the number and spoken once the call was received.

Nan-Manik.........

Ma-yes........bolo........

Nan-mei late hogayi.........tum plz muje pick krne aajao.......aaj late hogai ho toh koi rickshaw bhi nhi milegi jldi se aur mei aur late hojaogi.........aur tumhe pata hai jab late hote hai toh traffic bhi milti hai.........tum plz aajao na..........mei 15 mins mei ready hojaogi.......

Ma-okay don't worry I will be there soon.

She threw her phone on the bed and rushed to take a shower. She came out half dry half wet and put her clothes any how.

On the other hand when Nandini called up Manik he was leaving the mansion and was on stairs and when Nandini said all that he replied while thinking and then after ending the call he stood at one of the steps thinking abt his thought and then went back in his room and soon left to pick her up.

Once Nandini was done with getting ready she checked her bags as she know when you are late there is possibility you might forget anything. At normal days it's okay but at exam times you forget the important thing related to exam only so she checked it twice. Once she was confirmed she prayed a mini prayer to aiyappa which included .

Nan-aiyappa mei jldi poch jao aur paper bhi aacha ho........

Taking her bag she rushed out descending the stairs yelling on top of her voice.

Nan-Chachi aapne muje uthaya kyu nhi....... mei late hogai.

Cha-hawww........kabse utha rhi thi tuje 5 min 5 min kr rhi thi tu..........

Nandini remembered that Chachi was continuously waking her up but she didn't wake up so she said.

Nan-abhi mei jaa rhi ho........Manik muje pick krne aa rha hai........

Cha-arey par nashta.........

Nan-aaj time nhi hai........

And she headed towards their show rack to remove her pair of footwear and behind Chachi came running to her.

Cha-khai bina kaise ja skti hai........exam mei bhuk lagi toh.........

Chachi was talking to her but Nandini was looking down at her feet to put her footwear.

Cha-yeh le apple........kha lena raste mei.......

Nandini without argument took that and kissed Chachi........

Nan-thank you Chachi........bye.....

She came out closing the door and her eyes fell on the spot where usually Manik wait for her with his car but it was empty. She took steps ahead to come out and was complaining.

Nan-aiyappa Manik abhi tak nhi aaya........

She was walking when in "zup" arrived a heavily sports bike and stood at the place where Manik parked his car.

The bike stopped and the person put his legs on ground to support it. Soon the helmet was out and Nandini mumbled.

Nan-Manik........?

Actually the thing for which Manik went back in his room was to exchange his car key to his bike key and helmet. He thought that bike will save their time and Nandini would reach at her time or before time.

Cmg back to Nandini she took big steps towards him while Manik after removing his helmet looked at her.

Nan-tum bike pe kya kr rhe ho........?

Ma-Nandini tumhe college jldi poch na hai na......so this........

Nan-tumhe bike chalani aati hai.......?

Ma-Nandini tumhe late ho rha hai........meri bike ki skills k baaremei hum baad mei baat karenge.........

Realisation hit her and she said with wide eyes.

Nandini came ahead of bike and then tried to climb but then stopped and gvg her bag and apple to him she said.

Manik took that and Nandini kept her leg on the pad and to have a support she placed both her palms on his shoulder/collar bone and climbed the bike. She sat and said.

Nan-doo.......

While Nandini was climbing Manik took a bite from apple and when he gave back Nandini looked at the apple and then him who was chewing it.

Gvg that Manik wore his helmet and Nandini put her bag on her shoulder and then at the space btwn them so that her things doesn't fall. Manik started his bike and the sound of "wroom"echoed around. Nandini placed her left hand around his waist as with ryt hand she was holding the apple.

They left from there and Nandini started munching her apple. The came at the express road and there was moving traffic so Nandini said in worry.

Nan-dekha meine bola tha na late hota hai na toh traffic milti hi hai.

Manik didn't say anything and drove from left side of the road coz there were bikers and they could move easily. In btwn Nandini asked.

Nan-apple khaoge.........?

Ma-Nandini........meine helmet pehna hai.......how will I eat.......

Nan-arey woh glass kholo na mei tumhe khilati ho.......

Nandini broke a bite from her teeth and Manik lift his glass and Nandini put the bite in his mouth. Manik covered back his face.

They entered the street from where their college is and there was a signal which had 15 secs to go red and Manan were far away. Nandini looked at it and then said.

Nan-oh shit..........yeh signal hume mil jana chahiye..........

And in anxiety she started patting on Manik's back (shoulder side) continuously saying.

Nan-go go go.........

Manik speeded his bike and they crossed the signal before it turned yellow. Nandini huffed in relief and said.

Nan-bach gaye........

Then rest of the 7 mins drive went quiet and normal. Manik entered the college gate and stopped his bike at the college entrance. Nandini got down and Manik in a blink of eye watched the time.

He removed the helmet and Nandini came beside him. She opened her mouth to say something but Manik stopped her.

Ma-baatein baad mei karenge........abhi tum aaram se paper de do.......go aaram se paper start hone mei abhi 8 min baki hai.....

Nandini smiling bobbed her head and waving a bye she left towards college while Manik yelled to let her hear "all the best" and then started setting his hair looking at the rear view mirror. Soon he felt little pressure on his shoulder.

Ma-arey........

But from side of his eyes he saw Nandini and soon he felt her soft lips on his cheek and then after a brief cheek kiss Nandini said.

Nan-thank you......

And ran away leaving a blushing Manik behind. Nandini entered her exam hall quiet on time and sat on her place and soon the exam started and Manik parked his bike and entered the college and then jam room.

Next 3 hours Nandini was in exam and Manik was jamming. Once Nandini's exam was over she was very happy and smiling as he paper went well plus she completed the entire paper on time.

At the same time naturally fab4 dcd to take a break and they headed to canteen leaving Manik behind alone as he was not hungry so he denied to go with them.

Manik was busy in his phone when Nandini entered the jam room. Seeing him alone she couldn't control to show off her happiness and in excitement she ran and jumped on his back (like piggy backride) making him stumble a little.

Manik was going to say harsh words but then he saw Nandini as she had got down due to Manik's unstableness. Looking at her Manik said.

Ma-Nandini.........

Nandini came in front of him with a big smile and said.

Nan-you know Manik........

Ma-paper was very nice.

He completed her sentence and all the smile went off from Nandini's face and she asked in confusion.

Nan-how do you know........?

Ma-tumhare chehre ki chamak hi bata rhi hai.........aur hona bhi tha tumne itni mehnat se jo padai ki thi.......

All the vanished spark came back on her face and Manik too smiled. Nandini than told him some details of her paper like how she reached the class,the scenario of the class, her question paper,no of supplements she took,the end time situation of the exam and the supervising teacher. Once she was done Manik asked.

Ma-canteen chale?

Nan-okay.......

They both headed to canteen and Nandini asked.

Nan-what abt your day.......?

While walking Manik told her abt his time and they entered the canteen.
