King chatrasal had five sons, they all are strong witty selfish  arrogant and greedy. Chatrasal tried a lot to make them unite and keep them strong but no one agrees. His four wives too fight for power which is no secret. He also have seven daughters, they are beautiful and they don't fight with brothers or among themselves. Chatrasal is king of Khandva, he has vast land and water bodies so he is prosperous with agriculture, mines of metals too found in his land, with which he became wealthy too. King is kind and best ruler one can ask for. People worship him.

Chatrasal sons are elder one Manik, second one Giridhar, third one Rudra, fourth one Harshawardhan, fifth one is Udhay. All are born within two years, since birth they all had unknown competition going on, their mothers too made it pressurised.

When Manik reached 14 he completed his Gurukul and came back home, king made him Yuvaraj. Then on fight between brothers and mother started in full swing. Everyone started plotting and planning. Things went more ugly when Manik tried to make himself best Yuvaraj in front of praja. Everyone started pulling his leg down finding his fault and exhibiting in public. So Manik is always on leash.

Now Manik is at age of marriage, as all sisters got married and having peaceful life, now his marriage is one thing in line. His mother is very eager to him a best wife. Unlike other things Manik this time wants his life partner to be his choice not due to some competition go on and for some political and personal issues he can marry a random girl.

Manik likes Nandini his prime minister's daughter. He saw her once with his sisters, she is very beautiful and humble girl, whenever he came across her, she just greets and leave, he never got any chance to see her properly or talk.

Chatrasal summons Manik to his chamber. Manik entered his chamber after permission
"Greetings Maharaj"
"Sit Yuvaraj"
Manik sat down

At that time I promised khanoj that I will make his one daughter my bahuranisa, so here is the proposal for you, are willing to marry any girl of his? He had three girls, elder one is Radha, next is Nandini and third one is Sindhu. If you are not interested no problem we have your brothers too" king concluded
"I am willing to marry Nandini, his second daughter babasa!"

After ten days, how things changed or how got messed up Manik didn't had idea but he got information that his brother Girdhar is going to marry kumari Nandini, he got shocked and angry. He turned his way to home from his trip to near by village.

When he reached whole mahal is totally decorated and everyone are laughing happily, he came to madap and found marriage process is going on. Nandini is sitting opposite to Giridhar, his blood boiled

Manik came to aisle and kept sword on Giridhar neck "how dare you steal my queen? I don't care you are my brother, come fight with me and then let us decide whom kumari Nandini belongs to"

"Be a man now and fight stop playing with tricks always get up" Manik raised his sword as warning
"Yuvaraj stop this I talked about this leave them let them get married"king spoke
"On my dead body father, she is always mine, I trusted you and now you are supporting him? Him? Babasa?" Manik is disappointed
"Kumari Nandini wants this Yuvaraj let them be happy" king said
Manik gulped it hard, he tightened his fist on sword "I don't care, fight with me kill me to be hers now if not I will kill you without mercy" Manik roared
"This is marriage hall Yuvaraj don't make it war place let my daughter be happy" prime minister begged
"Ok the let her decide, Nandini do you want your husband to win you or not?" He asked boldly
Nandini is silent, whole hall is dead silent, she with clearing throat said "I am not a trophy, but I can decide that I will with one who can win me, but I have one condition"
"Nandini" Giridhar gritted his teeth "are you forgetting our love?"
"No Rajkumar I want you to win me back and show everyone that you are capable"
Manik felt hurt but he stood silent.
"Ok my condition is that whoever wins me will not be future king, whoever is ready can fight and win me"she said

Manik frowned, "I am born to be king one day in future so how can I accept this? You are not playing fair kumari Nandini, still I feel you are worth it, I am ready to fight for you"
"What the hell kumari Nandini you can just do this" Giridhar gritted teeth
"Do you agree for fight or not Rajkumar?" Manik asked impatiently.
"No never" Giridhar said throwing garland on floor
This time Manik smirked happily.

"Gratitude Rajkumar! You made things easy for me, as their is no fight going on I take back my condition too" Nandini spoke in humble voice
Giridhar is shocked "you manipulative bitch" he took his sword to kill her, before he could reach her, her khanjar stopped the sword "so Rajkumar you too are same then, you blackmailed me and threatened me with my father death, so shall I call you same, a coward, manipulative, wicked and stupid?" She spoke

All stood up as king stood "what the hell rajkumar is this true?"
"You" he attacked more but Manik took him, within no time Giridhar is on floor with somany cuts and sword on his neck.
"Soldiers throw this apradhi in jail now he will be produced in court tomorrow" king roared
"Babasa this is her doing leave me let me kill her first" Giridhar roared but no one gave deeds he is taken away.

"Khonj ji! This is all my fault, I am ashamed" king said
"We can give birth to children but we can't dictate their fates king" prime minister spoke with worry.

"Maharaj if you all agree I will marry kumari Nandini only if she allows me" Manik spoke
"What do you say Kumari?" King asked
"If it is king's order I will agree but if it is a question to me then no"
"Nandini? What are you saying?" Khanoj asked in worry
"Yes babasa, I am not any stone or a tree, I am human I will marry one who can solve a riddles for me"
"Ask me kumari Nandini"

Manik stood silent for few minutes then spoke "darkness"

"Can you handle me? I am a secret a shadow some darkness, a word to keep, a promise to break, still I am darkness which ages soon"
"A wife and yes I can handle you"
" Babasa I agree to this marriage" Nandini said lowering her head
Manik smiled with relief.
King got relief too. Marriage happened with all rituals and with blessings of elders.

After reaching mahal, all ladies are shocked as groom changed. Manik mother is disappointed she don't want a girl who was some one else bride before, but having no choice she welcomed couple.

After all rituals finally couple is been given some privacy, Manik removed his pagadi, sword and other things then sat on chair. Nandini waited for him to talk, but he didn't. She cleared her throat with soft voice she asked "why do I feel that Yuvaraj is emitting heat?"
Manik smirked "is that so?"
"Yes I feeling hot" she said with smile
"Dasi give fan to your Ranisa" Manik ordered, Nandini pout.
"No need dasi I have to get habitual to this heat" she said with sad face
"You are Ranisa no need to adjust"
"Then tell me the reason of this heated headed jussa for"
"You accepted that languor cruel to marry?"
"No"
"You sat opposite to him" Manik gritted his teeth
"Yes but I planned to cancel in last moment"
"Why to accept in first place"

"I thought I won you" Manik said with grumpy face
"You won a prime Minster daughter, now win you wife"
"Ok then to win her what should I do?"
"I am new Yuvaraj so figure it out yourself"

Manik smirked with pride. He stood still. "I will win back"

After marriage things in court turned ugly. Girdhar played pity card in front of praja, everyone started showing disagreement towards Manik thinking he snatched his younger brother wife. He couldn't explain. King is also disappointed with situations.

In all these Harshvardhan took advantage and started playing good boy role, Minsters in court and praja started liking him more which led to many issues. Internal war started. People are been killed ruthlessly to keep their own secrets.

Nandini is not happy seeing her husband surrounded in web of conspiracy and conflicts, she is the one to make things complicated. So she came to Manik
"My lord can have a word with you"
"Ranisa you made my day, have a seat" Manik smiled happily
"I came to discuss something important"
"Tell me" he signals everyone to leave, all left

"Make us to leave the Mahal as punishment"
Manik frowned "what even that will do you have an idea I think?"
"Yes hundred percent my lord"
"So then?"
"We will talk when that happen" she smiled
"I hope you know what you are suggesting"
"Yes Yuvaraj"
"Can you stay as ordinary person?"
"Sure about it"
"Ok I will do something" she smiled stood up "then you can win me too" she with smile and shy left, he smiled happily

Next in court when thinks are going on him, he stood up "king give me permission to leave this mahal alone"
Nandini who is sitting with all ladies stood up in anger
"No you are Yuvaraj and we bought bahuranisa just few months back no I won't sit down Manik" king roared
"No I have decided what for all these conspiracies? Just for throne? My marriage with kumari Nandini was decided first but Rajkumar Giridhar made plot to snatch her away, next all these incidents I became the one who snatched younger brother wife in reality it is other way, now these all issues about my wealth, my works all these just to snatch my title of Yuvaraj so let them have it, I want family so I will move away from politics and throne let my brothers rule the country my praja is not happy with me so I don't have any right to sit here kshama king" he removed his throne and kept on his seat and started to walk

"Wait Yuvaraj! Kshama father I am talking without permission, give me permission to leave with my husband, where he stays that is my rajmahal" Nandini spoke
"You are newly wedded" Manik argued
"You too yuvaraj so what? I am coming and you have no say in it" she said in authority
King is sad and angry "Manik if you take step away I will never let you in remember that" king warned

"You are running away from your duties Yuvaraj"
"No my duty is to keep praja happy title don't define my work babasa I am Yuvaraj with or without title"
With that Manik held Nandini hand and left mahal after removing all jewellery.

Manik and Nandini came out of Mahal with nothing which made praja go insane, they started begging Manik to take back his title which he ignored and started walking along with his wife.

After walking for half day, they reached near by village, all the villagers offered them place and food, Nandini with smile accepted the offer and took a small empty chopdi, she made it clean while Manik is talking to villagers.

A family bought food, Nandini accepted. Manik came in, "are you ok? Do you need anything?"
"I have to take bath, why don't you stand on the bank of river I will wash my body and get dressed quickly."
"Ok" Manik took her to river bank, "go take bath"
"Yuvaraj turned around"
"I am not Yuvaraj and I can't turn around you know someone can take you away closing your mouth so I am better here"
Nandini bit her lips, she turned towards river and undressed herself slowly. Manik didn't miss a bit, he didn't even blink once. She dipped herself in river came to bank and took some soft mud and started washing her body.
"Your soft skin might be burning Ranisa"
"I don't mind Yuvaraj"
"Call me Manik Ranisa"
"No let me call you Prabhu that will be appropriate"
"am I that old?"
"May be" she giggled Manik laughed.

After bath, she came out took her inner cloth and covered her body. Manik without wasting time he took out his clothes and jumped in water, "you made me have cold bath Ranisa better we sought out this soon" he said swimming, she laughed.

That night both had hard time sleeping, one floor is hard, body reactions, hormones and mostly thinking about future.

Next day on Manik started working, he took a piece of land which is not used properly. He started cleaning the land. Nandini too helped him. Evening they came home.
"Prabhu we should buy some required things we can't always eat the others food"
"Ok let me see what I can bring"
"Take this Prabhu sell this and buy things" she gave a chain
"No no that is done"
"Prabhu don't hesitate come on take this and buy at proper cost, I heard for 10gms gold we will get two gold coins and this chain will be 100gms we may get twenty gold coins, go to grocery shop buy all the items required for cooking, then go to a vendor and ask him to sell some bed, then buy a cow along with her calf. Buy two buffaloes to help you in work."

"All these? Ok" he left. She cleaned area for new members, cow and calf along with buffaloes. She called near by lady and asked for some one who can help with them, she said her husband can help. Nandini felt happy.

Manik came after long time, he is grumpy. "What happened Prabhu?"
"The vendors here are ruthless, they all are taking advantage of praja, I couldn't help people properly all these while"
"No problem now you help them make this village a best one" she smiled he too smiled.

Nandini cooked and both ate. When they were relaxing Nandini asked a question "today you are common man what do you think Prabhu what is important for a common man?"
"Food and shelter"
"Yes we are most wealthiest kingdom still we have praja struggling why?"
"As things are actually not reaching praja"
"Why?"
"Corruption"
"Good now what is your ultimate work to reach to throne?"
"Removal of corruption"
"How?"
"How?"
"Kill the most corrupted person publicly threat is only thing which you can make people to have. Fear is most dangerous weapon in this world use it. Common people will love you"
Manik agreed.

Next day he killed a vendor who asked for bribe infront of whole villagers, all went shocked, but then they made a celebration for doing that, next on people started fear him too. Within no time whole villagers started fear when someone bribed or did anything wrong. Soon things started to become easy for common man.

Manik and Nandini grew friendly with villagers, they started taking good measures for villagers, provided things which are required. That night when whole villagers is happy Nandini gave herself to Manik.

Manik treasured her, he is proud of her. Next Manik travelled to near by villages and did something, soon all the villages came to know about Manik killing corrupted people like fire, people started fearing but they all went rebel and gave petitions to king about Manik brutality.

One day soldiers came to take Manik court. "Make yourself Yuvaraj again Prabhu I miss calling you Yuvaraj" Nandini said with smirk, Manik smiled "sure"

After Manik leaving Mahal, king felt havoc in life. He observed his family closely. He felt disappointed, he then called all three sons to his chamber.
"Rajkumars today I called you all three to declare who will be Yuvaraj next" all got excited
"In six months who completes their tasks fully and come back they will be next Yuvaraj"
"What task father?" All asked in union.
"Giridhar you will go to mines area and sell all the extracted metal in double the coast in six months if you fail you will help your brother who will be Yuvaraj without second thought"
"I will sell in two months king" he smirked king felt sorry
"Harshvardhan you will travel to all kingdoms as common man, and send me letters on their cost of living, way of living their strengths and weaknesses, if you fail then you too will help your brother who is Yuvaraj without second word"
"I hate travelling babasa"
"Then stay in mahal as Rajkumar life long who objects you"
"No I will go"
"Uday you will go on war with gungour, they are creating troubles to us from long time"
"It's too far and why war?"

"Listen boys! In these six months, whole mahal is empty, all ladies started missing their children, so they sat down started talking about them a lot within no time they started playing games entertaining themselves, gossiping, giving hard time to king always.

Six months completed Manik came to court as an accused, all ladies came to court, his mother cried all consoles her.

"So Manik you became rebel and murder too"
"King! You call us as your soldiers always, work of soldiers is to kill enemies, I did same"
"Are you arguing?"

"Why did you kill them?"
"For money and power" one of the opponents said in hurry

"Manik why?" King roared
"To stop corruption, they are stealing from common people in name of titles, money and power"
"No they are respected people in village"

"You would have sent them to court" king asked

"Now tell the court who are they all and why did I kill them now if not next you both will be" Manik said with bloody face
"They they they took bribes and harassed common people all the while" both said one after the other

"Then why did you send my brother Udhay on war? That is not the way to make king of gungoor learn his mistake" Manik said in same tone "sometimes violence is needed king, even a child is punished to keep his hands away from fire, he learns same way people in power and wealth will learn, I taught them"
"You are ruthless"
"May be, but common people say I am god"
"Are you rebellious to me now?"
"If you support corruption then I am if not I will always be your son father"
"You learned tactics in words and works Yuvaraj"
"Time made me to learn king"
"Welcome home Yuvaraj have your seat" king offered

All are shocked. Before anyone can say anything his three sons too came to court.
"What happened" king asked
"Father I couldn't sell the metals not even 1/4th it is impossible I failed I accept my defeat I will help bhaisa in mines department. I am sorry bhaisa for everything" Giridhar said touching his feet. Manik made him stand and hugged him.
"Father I could only travel some kingdoms, I learnt what is life I don't want any title I am happy helping bhaisa with borders maintaining, I have a request father I had to marry a girl named sugandhi, she is my wife allow me to bring her home"
"Accepted son" king said with smile
"Father I won the war but I don't want title I will be army head, I didn't kill the king as I liked his daughter if you accept my love can you permit me to marry her babasa?"
"Sure, I am happy you all learnt your duties and life ambitions, every title has its own struggles sons, just don't degrade them, about all marriages wait Giridhar didn't you get any girl?"
"King I am been sent to mine where can I find a girl?" He said with annoyed tone
Whole court laughed, "ok I will make you marry to a nice girl soon" king laughed again.

Manik came to village back and took Nandini bid bye to all people thanked them for helping them and understanding them. Came back to mahal.

Manik became Yuvaraj again officially along with Nandini by his side. On same day she gave him news of pregnancy. Manik is happiest man alive.

Within no time whole mahal became hustle bustle, all rajkumars got married, Manik got twins boys, then started to have lots of children, some his some his brothers. All together twenty five kids born in ten years. King retired and gave his throne to Manik, all his brothers became his strength.

Now a days all rajkumars are starting fights, brothers laughed "again same routine started life never changes" chatrasal said brothers agreed.

When Manik came to his chamber after a long day he found his wife singing for his youngest daughter who is just seven months old. He got big smile

He is always proud of his wife, he always feel gratitude towards her if not for her advice to leave the title he wouldn't have got this peaceful life never. He loves her deeply. He never married again, though he got many offers, Nandini too insisted but Manik never agreed. His love for her is so deep that he felt he will make any other lady suffer so he never married again.

Manik and Nandini got five children. They are content happy and prosperous. Nandini is happy too with whatever she got in life
