Manik Nawab is a model and singer, he is very famous among girl, best singer. He and his guitar are soulmates. He even became Bollywood background singer recently.

He belongs to Nawab family, very conservative and wealthy family. He had chachus and cousins house full. He got married to Alya, he had love marriage. They both were classmates, had ages of togetherness, and very good bonding.

But all went to dessert, Inca they got married, couple started having fights for every minutiae things, Alya is badatamiz girl, she don't care about anything other than her comforts, she is greedy too. Manik tried his best to make things better for them but didn't work.

Manik too is arrogant and selfish person with angry issues, so both couldn't cope up, they finally got divorced, he paid large amount in divorce, now he is depressed and disoriented in life.

Nandini Nawab is daughter of sheik Nawab, she is only daughter to her parents, she is studying medicine, she typical nerd, always with books, she don't care about anything in life except her studies. She interacts very less with family, she comes eats and goes to her room, when she need anything she goes to her parents, tells them her wish, if they agree ok, if not then too ok.

Family considers her as a silent girl, no one acknowledges her presences, that is how she loves to be and she is very happy in life.

Today she is having an important lab, she came running out and found her car missing, she is stressed when she is planning to go by taxi, Manik came out of house
"Bhai can you drop me at university? I am getting late?" She asked
Manik looked at her for a moment and said ok
She sat in, driver came took the car,
"How are you bhai?"
"Ok going on,"
"Actually I have some information, I don't know I should share it with you or not but... here take this pen drive and watch it alone" she gave him pen drive
Manik took it "what is it?"
"Your some tunes, old one but they are best I feel, I recorded them in early days of yours now as you are unable to do well, use them, may be they can help you out"
Manik looked at her with astonishment "you listen to my music?"
"Yes, daily I keep your music and do my studies they help me to concentrate on it."
"When did you record them?"
"In my 10th class, daily night you used to do music, I used to sit near your door and study, while recording them"
"So not only studies you love music?"
"Only yours, I don't listen to anyone else music"
Manik looked at her, she is typical nerd looking girl, "thank you I really need some distraction"
"While... Alya cheated on you with your friend many times from college times, I don't think you need to be depressed because of her, it's her loss not yours"
Manik became furious "why the hell you didn't tell me soon?"
"You said to daddu that you love her, I thought even with her flaws you want her"
Manik is speechless. "You are item do you know that?"
"I heard it many times, my university came bye, and..... the pills you use for sleep will damage your body, I will bring medicines, better use them, don't smoke it damages your image and health people follow you, may be they follow smoking habit too, so be careful" she opened door and left.

Manik really shocked, no one house notices her, nor she gives any second glance to anyone, here she is telling him so many things which are impossible to digest.

Night Manik found tablets replaced in his side table draw, he smiled, "she is really different"

Then on Manik observed her, she is not that nerdy, she reads a lot but, she enjoys her life too. She listens to music, cooks her own food, she takes care of everyone health in house even workers, she is active in social media. He is impressed.

After some days he found Nandini in garden, doing her exercises, he never seen anyone in house doing exercises other than him, when she is doing, her body flexibility gave Manik hard time, the way her curves bent, he got sweet. He gulped and walked away.

Nandini completed her medical final exams today, she is happy about her exams, she came to kitchen, sent all servants and staff away, she cooked everything, she made feast. At dinner time, she called everyone, some are missing still many came, Nandini served everyone, "what nerdy why this feast today?" Her brother asked
"I completed my final exams I am going to become doctor Nandini soon, so I made this for you all"
"Wow really? You became doctor now?"
"Yes" she smiled excitedly.
"We need to make your shadi soon" her mother said
"No I have two more years to complete my PG, then I will" said Nandini
"You will become old buddy hojayagi" her one more cousin teased her
"No problem, I don't care"
All started to laugh, everyone where happy and eating well.

Almost at midnight Manik came, "you came bhai, sit I will serve you food, today I made food and served everyone I completed my final exams" she said with smile
"Do you know you are haunting me now a days where ever I go?" Manik said in slippery voice, sitting
Nandini frowned and smelled the air, alcohol smell filled air, she observed him, his hair messy, dress is dirty, she stood little back.
"Won't you feed me? I am hungry" he said
She served in plate, he started eating
"You know the music which you gave me it is best one I made, today I made it to a film song, director said that will create magic, only because of you I made it thank you" he said smiling
"I am happy for you"
"Are you really?" He asked
"Yes really" she stressed each word
Manik smiled "you cook good, but why do you haunt me? Last night you were making me so hard I couldn't sleep why? What did I do? Tell me? "he demanded
She looked at him bewildered "you need to sleep get up I will help you to your room" Manik got up, she made him climb stairs by holding his hand. When they reached, he dragged her to bed and she slipped and fell on bed, he hovered her, "you are beautiful Nandini, why the hell I didn't notice you before? Alya damaged my heart and fame, I know she cheated on me but my friend too? I became alone Nandini, why life became this hard for me?"

"Because you made wrong choice, you know you didn't love Alya, it's just infatuation, then she manipulated you too, now when you are free from those two things, you should be happy not depressed, and what do you want to show those people? This gloomy moody frustrated Manik? Show them happy Manik see how irritated and horrible they feel, come on get up, let me go I am sleepy"
"Sleep with me please"
"No I know my limits Manik bhai, and I don't take drunk people words serious so let me go" he left, she left. Manik slept.

Next morning Manik revised what happened last night, he felt good, but his head is breaking, so he ordered for hot coffee and then he came to his gym.
Her words bagged his mind again, he determined to make it happen.

After that Manik made so many photo shoots, he made his style more prominent, he increased his song qualities and signed more film songs, he made appearance in public more.

Today he got an invitation where Alya and his friends will be there, he don't want to go but Nandini words made him determined to go but not alone, so he came to Nandini room, "are you busy?"
"Yes preparing for entrance tell me what you want?"
"I really need your help, today I have a party with college friends, you know Alya and woh Ranveer will come, I want you to accompany me can you?"
"But why me? You can have any? So many are dying to be with you, if you want I can call my one classmate she is diehard fan of yours "
"No actually I want only you, I will be comfortable and confident with you to face them"
"Ok but I think I need to get ready when is party?"
"Today I will send a stylist for you"
"No need bhai I won't disappoint you"
"No bhai today Manik sirf Manik"
"Ok Manik"
"Good" Manik smiled and left.

Nandini got ready in bottle green colour mid length frock.  She did minimum make up, made her long hair into bun, then covered it with hijab, she then kept a small bracelet with charms on left hand , completed her look with high heels.

When she came down, everyone looked at her, "you look good Nandini" her brother said
"You know how to dress up? " her cousin asked in surprised
Manik looked at her, he felt her beauty enchanted with the smile she had.
"Shall we go?" Manik asked
"Sure" Nandini smiled.

"You look really beautiful Nandini"
"Thank you " she smiled , checking out for some song
Manik is admiring her beauty, he is so attracted to her, her personality, her way of thinking, her smile and her carefree nature added her beauty

They reached, "don't call me bhai, and if you are uncomfortable, just come to me and tell me, we will leave soon"
"Don't worry just enjoy the party"
"Ok" he is nervous

When they enter the hotel, everyone's turned to them, everyone came forward to greet Manik, Manik became comfortable within no time, Nandini stood besides him for sometime then she sat near bar counter and watching everyone, some are dancing, some are talking laughing, she is sipping her drink and enjoying it.

"So you are with Manik" came three girls.
"Yes hello" she smiled at them
"Do you know who I am?"
"Yes Alya"
"Ok so you know still you came with him?"
"Why I shouldn't come?" She asked innocently
"You know he is my husband" Alya gritted teeth
"Ex-husband I think, and you even moved on with Ranveer. So why can't I come uth Manik?"
"You bitch.... How dare you?" Alya raised her hand to slap but Nandini dragged her body back, Alya slipped and both fell on ground braking glasses

Manik came running, Alya forwarded her hand but didn't see her hand he came to Nandini and helped her. "Are you ok? Did you get hurt?"
"No but she is heavy May be I got some buries" she said ruffling her dress.
"Do you need to check? Shall I take you to washroom?"
"No need Manik, I think I am good"
"Manik.. she made me fall" Alya complained
"So?" Manik asked boringly
"I got hurt"
Nandini took her hand and checked, then her legs, "you are absolutely fine"
"How the hell do know that?" Alya said with irritation
"I am doctor I checked you now you are fine"
Everyone stood there in surprise, all knew she is bullying her but Nandini behaviour is nowhere to accept or reject it she is so natural.
"You bloody bitch don't act smart with me" Alya shouted
"What is there to act smart in doing my profession? It's my work I did it"
Alya got irritated "Manik why don't you say her anything?"
"Stop bullying Alya you can clearly see that she don't care about your bullying why to embarrass yourself? By the way stop coming near me like this, you are nothing to me, I left you long back" Manik removed her hand from his and came to Nandini held her lower back and led her out of the group leaving Alya fuming.

"I am sorry! I shouldn't bring you here" Manik said with guilt
"I already knew such thing will happen, don't you know?" She asked looking at him
Manik looked at her, he somewhere down knows this but ignored it, he is now more guilty, "yeah but.."
"It's ok, I was prepared, now enjoy party don't waste on such things meet all your friends"
"Why the hell don't you feel anything? Doesn't it hurt you?"
"It does but I hurts more if show my hurt to others and make them satisfied, they exactly expect me to be hurt and behave accordingly to their will, which I will never, you should too try that, see how satisfying it will be, didn't you see Alya? How frustrated she is?"

Manik stood silent, she is correct, everyone does things to get reaction from others, if we don't show then? This question gave smile to him
"Let us dance" Manik asked Nandini
She accepted, both very gracefully danced, then his friend came and asked to sing. Manik looked at Nandini "go sing whatever comes to your mind now" she smiled

Manik came up, took Mike, then closed eyes, started to sing, it's brand new song, he made it here itself, Nandini as always recorded it, all clapped

Alya came to him "Manik I need to talk to you"
"What is there to talk to me now?"
"Look Manik I know we were impulsive but you know I love you so much we should be together forever"
Manik looked at her, rubbed his chin, "I don't love you" he said and started to go
"Manik you love me" she shouted in frustration
Manik didn't turn, he came to Nandini and smiled holding her hands
"I know you are acting with her, just to make me jealous, I am jealous baby come to me" Alya again said
Manik smiled at her "No, infact I am happy, don't make fool out of yourself, just leave me"
Alya hugged him tight "no no Manik you are mine"
"Leave me Alya I feel like bugs running on my skin wherever you touch me, it disgusting, so leave me"
Alya stood away with shock, "you make me disgusting Alya, I regret each moment I spent with you, let you tell me clearly, I know with whom you slept, so stop your drama before I loose my temper and get you arrested in case of fraud which you did with my money back then, stay away from me" Manik shouted

Alya stood still, Manik took Nandini hand and left the party. "Why are we going? Are you feeling guilty or bad for her?"
"No not at all"
"Then?"
"Because I don't want to be there anymore, making scene is not my style"
"Ok"
Both took car, drive is silent, "can I ask you something?" Manik asked in hesitation
"Sure"
"What do you think of me?"
"You? Impulsive, arrogant, heart broken, short tempered sometimes selfish"
Manik pressed break "what? You think of me as such? Do you really feel anything about me?"
"Yes this is what you are" she stated fact
"Yaar!!! Sometimes your boldness kills do you realise it? I am asking you do have any emotions towards me?"
"You are my cousin of course I have"
Manik hit the steering hard "fuck.... Nandini do you feel me as a man?"
"I do, ...... but....." she stopped closing eyes
Manik with astonishment looked at her "but what?"
"Why are you asking me such questions?"
"Because I want to know, I really want to know"
"I don't think we are compatible you can't bare me, I am so straightforward person, I speak boldly, I don't do puppy love type things, I am too strict with life better don't think of me, and you are just impulsive, you need distraction that's all"
"No, actually it's not impulsive, you are smart attractive, sensible, attentive and most importantly you are firm with your decisions, I don't think your boldness will make any difference, I may be irritated at that moment but then I always find it as best thing."
"Why me? That too after these many years?"
"I never noticed you, as everyone, but when I started noticing I knew it in my bones that you are perfect for me"
"Perfect? Isn't Alya perfect?"
"Never, and I know you deserve best unlike me, your profession, your personality, you deserves best but I want to be selfish as always"
"I need to think"
"Sure but to night can I kiss you, I am dying from long time to kiss you"
Nandini bit her lip, she nodded yes, without wasting time Manik kissed her in middle of road, where singal lights are flickering, road is empty, one thing they didn't notice is that camera which is in singal light is recording it.

After reaching home, both parted went to their own rooms, but Manik is determined to make Nandini his, he realised what exactly he want and he needed.

Nandini got seat in her preferred university for PG, she scored best, she decided to take paediatric surgeon. So opted for it. Once again she cooked food for family, she called Manik to come early
"Congratulations for your entrance, I am
Proud of you"
"Thank you I am happy"
"Can I expect a kiss from you?"
"May be...... you know..... not but you can get more than that"
Manik stood from his seat, "really? Let me come now"
"No need come early, come to dinner that sufficient"
"Your heart breaker evil"
She laughed, he too smiled

Evening Manik came early, she came to dinner we're all the family members sitting.
"Family I want to share two things with you, one I got seat in my fav university, second one I want to do Nikha with Manik"
All who were smiling stopped immediately "no" her mother said in horror "you can never let yourself free from the thought of Alya if you marry him, you need person who is only yours, his past kills your future and Alya is one such, I don't want such things for you"
"I too agree with ammi" her brother said

Nandini felt overwhelming, "I never thought you care about me, I thought about it a lot ammi, but my years of love for him over rules it, I loved him from my high school, he never noticed me, I kept my love for him unrequited, but when he asked me I couldn't deny. People say we will be happy with the person who loves you, but no we will always be happy with whom we love. Let me take risk if I fail, my carrier is always there and I can always be happy alone, so agree for this"

Manik is nervous and sad too, what her mother said is true, he always has to carry a baggage of past with him, but revealing of her feelings from years made him surprised and curious too.

"I too agree with you chachi but, I will always keep in my mind that my past could never spoil us, if such things happen too, I will always be one to make it up for her, I will never leave her, nor make her sad" Manik said to family. He really want Nandini as his part of life.

After so much argues Nikha finalised, they got soon Nikha done. Things became better with each other. They are talking more

"So, now tell when from are you in love with me?"
"Years back, before Alya came, but you bought Alya I thought it's it, I got dumped, but when I came to know about Alya I was shocked wanted you to be safe and happy, now when you pay attention then I told it out"
"I never noticed Nandini, I was in my own world"
"It's ok happens"
"But from this moment you have to promise me, whenever I am neglecting you, or when you feel I am not up to mark you will correct me fight with me but you will not stay away from me"
"Sure"
"Good, so shall we proceed with our wedding night?"
She blushed.

Then on, Manik became good singer and model, Nandini became surgeon, they got two cute babies. Life became happy for Manik
