Manik is only son of Vishnuvardhan, the business tycoon, he lost his father when he just entered college. His sad and depressed life became normal with his college friend Sagar. Sagar lost his both parents at very tender age. He is alone with his sister Nandini. He manages life and friends along with his sister so smoothly. Seeing him always laughing enjoying life and life struggles made Manik inspired. Along with college he started looking after his father's company too. Sagar started helping him with accounts.

Today is final game of cricket in college, we are playing with other colleges, me and sagar are practising from months now. My eyes fell on Nandini sitting on steps watching us, she is supporting us.

"Nandini" this name gives me emotions, warm feeling and a broad smile too. She is beautiful, more than that sensible sensitive and very practice person, she loves her brother to moon, her smiling face gives energy to me always.

We won the game. Planned party at sagar, as Nandini is making dinner for all of us. She cooks delicious, years of practice and her own interest in cooking made her good chef. We all love her food.

"Today I want you guys meet someone special for me" sagar announced
"Bhai is it Keerthi? By any chance?" Nandini spoke
"You know us?" Sagar asked in shock
"Whole college knows bhai, the way you behave when she is around specially those blushes and all" she teased her brother. All laughed sagar blushed again.
"Ok then yes I love her"
"We love each other Nandini, can you give us your blessings?" Keerthi asked coming inside on time.
"For sure Keerthi but I warning you he is not easy guy, his anger, his issues with people are really scary sometimes we fight on that daily."
"I too will fight with you from now on" Keerthi smiled
"O god! What I got myself into?" Sagar said dramatically. All laughed
"Sagar that's true, today you were about kick that boy when he crossed line while catching ball, yaar it's accident, you have to accept things sometimes"
"No Guru! Because of him they got six" sagar defended
"Stop here! We are partying not discussing game man" Manik interrupted boiling head of both friends.

When party is wrapping up, Manik helped Nandini as sagar went with Keerthi to say bye.
"I can manage Manik you go home"
"I love you Nandini, so I love spending time with you doing anything and everything with you"
Nandini is shocked "Manik I don't know what to say, I have my brother alone as family, leaving him behind or taking my own decision never happened nor going to happen, ask my brother permission even to love me that will be better Manik. As friend of my brother I always welcome you to help me or be with me sorry if I hurt your feelings" she smiled
"Ok fair enough" Manik smiled tight,

Next day Manik came again to meet sagar. This time he spoke about his feelings towards Nandini. Sagar heard them talking, Nandini too told him everything clearly. Sagar took deep breath "Manik I have some objections, you are rich, your mother is typical money oriented when it comes to relations, and I don't want my sister to be fighting her whole life to prove she is not a gold digger. I hope you understand"
"Sagar I know what you are talking is true, think if same happened with you? Keerthi father accusing you same then?"
"I know that pain which I want to avoid Manik"
"I will be standing by her side like you got Keerthi sagar, May be more than that"
"I am planning to keep Keerthi with me Manik but here in your case you have single mom you just can't walk away from her"
"Sagar I really love her a lot" Manik said with tears
"You are making things hard for me, I love my sister more than anything in this world May be more than my own tears and struggles, so no"
Manik felt devastated. He left.

After one month of staying away from sagar and Nandini, Manik agin came "sorry sagar I tried my very best to stay away from Nandini and you but it's impossible now can you consider me?"
Sagar really felt bad, he has seen Nandini zooming out sometimes, sad sometimes mostly when she is alone sitting in her room, he don't want his sister like that.
"Promise me you will stand for her whatever be the situation?"
"I promise" Manik said happily, hugging him tight his sad eyes turn glowing in fraction of seconds.

Then on Manik and Nandini were always respecting and caring each other more as they understood that hat can they feel being away from each other can be.

It's Nandini birthday, Manik brought her camera as gift. "I don't know how to use it"
"I will teach you, make memories with it, make life in each photos"
She smiled. "Can I kiss you Nandu?"
"No! When we feel we will but not now"
"Why?"Manik is bit confused
"If you really feel to kiss it naturally happens, not with permission" he took her chin and kissed her softly. "You mean to say like this?" Nandini blushed and kept her head down. Manik held her chin up, "you are attractive Nandini always I asked permission to make you comfortable. I love you" she blushed hard. Hugged each other comfortably.

Nandini started taking photos randomly first, but later she concentrated on photos she is taking, she started writing stories to each photos. Her photos mostly focused on nature, some random scenario. One day Manik read her story behind photo and posted them to Sein du. Without her notice.

Manik after two years of relationship he told his mother about Nandini
"She can never be my bahu munna, such girls just need money" kavitha said in anger
"Sagar and Nandini said something when I asked them, you said same words ma, if she is gold digger she would have married me by now and took all my money too, she don't even take a simple dress from me as gift. Her camera which I gifted was her bday present which I took promise to accept."
"They know how to act well that's all"
"Ma, please for my sake work with her without biased then decide"
"I can never accept Munna sorry"
"But I want only her ma that's final now it's your choice if marry her I will be best if not I will be devastated you decide how you want your son" he left the house in very sad mood.

Seeing son sad for days kavitha accepted Nandini and their engagement is done. Kavitha acted as she is been expected still Nandini and sagar didn't react nor talked back to her. Manik took all the words his mother said with heart broken ways, he just prayed that his mother should change her view towards Nandini.

Nandini got letter from sein du the famous photographer, he offers her job shelter and a project, along with ticket and some travel expensive too. Nandini is shocked Manik explained brother and sister how lucky she is, after two years he sent her letter. Manik insisted on joining job though he misses her a lot,

Sagar tried hard to keep his anxious mind in calm to send his sister for her bright future, but Nandini rejected going, she said no to everyone. Suddenly sagar died in some random bank robbery where he is been shouted by robbers in front of police to give them way to go away.

Nandini almost lost her life. She couldn't take Manik dead easily, but Manik stood by her, he forcefully sent Nandini to sein du, that day Manik cried a lot for his friend and Nandini too.

Nandini coped up from her grief and started her work as photographer. Manik used to call her regularly. After six months she completed her first project and came back home, as expected Manik didn't come to receive instead Guru came and took her to Manik house where Manik and Keerthi are married already and reception is going on.

Nandini life shattered, she blessed both with tight smile and left without single word, Ofcourse after listening to his mother taunts "look my son is having luck so he got rid of you if not life long you would have been his burden nothing much" Nandini didn't react nor concentrated her eyes mind and heart are been filled with smiling Keerthi and Manik on stage.

Nandini couldn't take things more so she left Bangalore and came to Mumbai. She again got letter to join new project. She left.

Manik searched for Nandini for whole five years and found her. She is at Miami for some beach festival. Nandini didn't expect Manik so she is shocked to react or talk
"Nandu! Let us talk first" he took her to near by restaurant"
"How is Keerthi?"
"Ok" Manik answered "she wants talk to you come with me back to Bangalore"
"I have project to complete I can't"
"Nandini she is not well she want to see you at any cost for one last time please I booked tickets already please" he begged
"Why she want to meet me? I don't have any grudges on anyone no need to be guilty or worried and what happened to her?"
"Come Nandu I beg you please" Manik eyes are shallow, he looked aged his face is pale, Nandini couldn't say no so she came back India.

Keerthi is on bed, she is sleeping, "Manik say what happened?"
"She is suffering from mental disorders, she is sometimes harming herself and her daughter too"
"Daughter you have daughter too?"
"Yes Suchitra"
Nandini felt a ping in her heart but smiled.
"Nandini" Keerthi called Nandini came to her.
"Sagar is calling me to him, my work completed I need to go to him, please take care of your niece, she is sagar daughter, our daughter I am now incapable of anything I beg you take care of her Nandini for sagar." She cried. As said after one week she died.

Nandini cried a lot, seeing Suchitra, the bundle of joy who is in her arms is her brothers daughter, she felt warm and weird type of feeling which scared same time gave her immense happiness too.

"After you left, Keerthi came to me and told me that she is pregnant and she want to give birth to sagar child at any cost, she asked my help for that, we planned many ways but nothing worked, to keep her safe and away from society norms I married her, but she started loosing her mind day by day even from pregnancy. Sagar death made her crazy. She delivered Suchitra, but never fit to raise her. Our actual plan was, after birth I can divorce her and marry you, that way child will be legal with us for ever. Seeing her imbalances nature and mind I couldn't do that. Now she is totally out of this world just to go to sagar. Sorry Nandu for not telling you anything" Manik explained.

After one month of Keerthi death, Manik is happy to be with Nandini normally. He planned to marry her soon, but kavitha planned different. She spoiled five years old child mine in such a way that Suchitra started acting horrible with Nandini, calling her home wrenching women, her mothers killer and all. Nandini and Manik are stunned
"How told you all this beta?" Nandini asked softly with tears
"I know you killed mom" she cried
Manik with anger shouted "suchi! Shut up"
"Look as Daddi said my dad now hates me and you will kill me too dayaan"
Nandini tears flooded. She stopped Manik while showing hand "your mom spoiled her mind totally nothing can change Manik better I leave now, don't show her anger give her love which she deserves"
"I need you to raise her Nandu"
"No not now please let me go" Nandini left not listening to Manik pleads.

Manik started taking care Suchitra alone not letting his mother spoil her more. She too came very close to Manik. After one year Manik mother kavitha died in sleep, Nandini again came to give him to give moral support as she is only relative he has till now.

Suchitra hatred for Nandini didn't come down. So she didn't stayed with them, instead she came to her house where her best memories are stored. Manik came to her.
"How is your sein du? Is he still flirting?"
"He proposed I kind of rejected he is now dating one of my junior"
"You are mine Nandini forever"he kissed her passionately, years of waiting and emotional breakdown made them one. That night they did which they never talked nor discussed. It happened like Nandini always says.

"If you are pregnant, you will msg me or call me, don't you dare hesitate or feel that I will not be there for us, I am always with you Nandini, I love you like mad man, please come to me" he begged sitting on floor.
"You are exaggerating Manik nothing happens, if I am pregnant I won't run away with our child now get up, let me get ready for plane"
"No, let me make sure to get you pregnant" he held her tight in his arms.
"Manik if bhai was here nah he would have kicked you butt"
"If he was here I would have kicked his butt out of the room to have you" both laughed.

Nandini left to Paris for fashion week celebrations to take photos, Manik keeps on massaging her to ask weather she is pregnant or not? As he want to look forward to make family with her, but Nandini didn't got pregnant. this time Nandini took four more years to return to India.

Manik called her, she came to Bangalore, she came Manik house directly, she came to his room, got freshen up, ate some warm food which maid brought and slept on his bed. When she woke up Manik is standing near window thinking deeply,
"You came?"
"Yes Nandu"
"What happened? Why are you so dull?"
"Suchi started taking drugs"
"What the hell she is just ten.?" Nandini roared
"In school some boy made her take them, I need you for her Nandu please help me" Manik cried "I let sagar and Keerthi down I couldn't take care of her properly"
"Shhhh let talk to her" Nandini said with worry.

Nandini came to Suchitra, at first Suchitra abused her a lot. "Suchi! You are my brother's daughter."
"What the hell are you talking shit?"
"No bad words girl, listen first then shout. My brother sagar and I lost our parents at your age, he took care of me as his own child he would have been best father one can have, trust me he is the best. I love him madly. Keerthi and bhai loved each other they planned to marry soon, everything was perfect until bhai died in robbery case. Manik is my bhai friend, my fiancé, he married your mom for you, suchi! He is good man he loves you lot, don't make him regret for taking your responsibility. Drugs kills you, you are just ten bachi, you are my sagar bhai ammanth, think how much we love to sacrifice our love for you? He as friend took your responsibility and giving you everything you ask for and need with, can you even imagine how hard it is for him to stay away from me, taking care of a girl baby? Caring loving you madly?"
"You are lying?"
"Kash if it is lie suchi! Kash I have my brother back, kash Keerthi and bhai raised you. But no it's truth"
"Daddi said you are Dayan you will snatch my dad"
"She lied suchi, she hated me and my brother as we are not rich as Manik"
"Why do you want to snatch my dad away?" Suchitra cried
"No suchi! She is your buha, this is harsh truth you have to accept" Manik tried to explain.
Suchitra cried a lot Manik hugged her tight and cried too.

Days passed, Manik tried his best to make Suchitra understand, Manik and Nandini took her to her house, showed her her father, Nandini showed Suchitra her young photos where she looks exactly like Suchitra.

Suchitra when looked at Nandini photos, she is shocked and looked at mirror, she started to feel disgusting in start as the one she hated with guts is her relative actual only one relative, but as days passed Suchitra started observing Nandini behaviour, specially Manik's behaviour around her. How happy and carefree he is. How Nandini carries an aura of happiness and warm feeling, no doubt her father loves her madly,

Suchitra came to Nandini one morning, "suchi good morning"
"Morning"
"Will you have some coffee?"
"Yeah actually"
Nandini made coffee for her, "what should I call you?"
"Nandini"
"By name?"
"Actually call me Nandu my bhai used to call me as such, he is my father mother friend and mentor. He loves me to moon. When I was just five we lost parents he took care of me all alone. Unfortunately I lost him too. Suchi you alone is my family. Don't hate me please"
"Daddi always fed me that you want to snatch my dad from us and you are evil, I blindly followed her. Dad always said that I should never hate anyone. Still I choose to hate you, loosing mom very early, made things more worst, dad gave me everything but loneliness made me do things which I shouldn't. Now when I see reality dad is lonely from years, you are lonely not me. Sorry I want to go for rehab" Suchitra cried Nandini hugged her happily.

Manik and Nandini took her to  counselling and rehabs, as Suchitra took just twice drugs she recovered very soon, she accepted the truth finally, seeing Nandini and living with her made her know her properly. Nandini always talking about her brother with glowing eyes gave clear picture of truth to Suchitra.

After Suchitra recovery Manik and Nandini married. They got register marriage with very close family. Suchitra loves them both and calls them dad andNandu, people taunts them sometimes, some even looks at them in weird creepy way but three never cared.

Life sometimes tests us in such a way that their won't be any escape. Standing far away too is love and going away too is love. Being silent standing to get their turn is too love. Manik and Nandini are one of such kind
