It was 6 pm in the evening and Nandini was ready to go back home when she spotted someone standing near to her car..She widened her eyes after seeing that person..

Nandini ( whispered ): Bade Papa..

While, Sohesh who saw Nandini standing with a shocked expression frowned and walked towards her..

Sohesh: Doc..kya hua..?

She came out of her trance..

Nandini: Huh..haa..I am fine..

Sohesh ( frowned ): Then, why were you looking shocked..?

Nandini ( frowned ): I saw you standing leaning onto my car and I just couldn't believe it..

Sohesh: And why is it so..?

Nandini ( fake surprised ): You are my boss and an employee wouldn't expect their boss leaning onto their car, it looked like you were waiting for me..

Sohesh didn't like a bit when she addressed herself as a mere employee..

Sohesh ( glared ): I never knew I called you an employee instead of doctor..or addressing someone with their profession would be like a relationship between a boss and employee..

Nandini was surprised with his tone..It had a tinge of anger which would be rare in Sohesh Murthy's case..

Nandini: I am sorry..I didn't mean to offend you but..

Sohesh ( sighed ): I wanted to spend some time with you but here, you are considering me like an outsider. I am like your FATHER..

Nandini shot her head up towards Sohesh after hearing that word ' FATHER '..Should he mention that to her..Because, for her he isn't like her father but he is her father..

Nandini ( smiled ): You are a fatherly figure for me..

Sohesh grinned at her..He so wanted to hear it from her and his heart's wish was granted in a second..

Sohesh ( raised his eyebrow ): So, have you got any problem in going for an ice cream date with me..?

Nandini ( shocked ): What..?

Sohesh ( coolly ): What..? You just said that you consider me as a father, and according to me, date isn't just for lovers. You could go for date with your father, mother or brother. The only difference is your intention. With you lover, its a passionate one and with your family, its something done to catch up with them..

She was so touched with his gesture. She has gone for ice cream dates with her father. She went with her mother too and they too call it dates unlike the present generation where they consider dates are for only lovers or casual flings..Truly, Sohesh Murthy is seriously different form his brothers..

Nandini ( grinned ): Well, you believe in our 'thing '..

Sohesh ( confused ): What..?

Nandini ( smiled ): My Appa and I have the same thoughts regarding the definition of ' dates '..If it didn't has such a meaning then friends wouldn't have gone for blind dates..

Sohesh smiled..

Sohesh ( dramatically ): So, shall we Miss Doc..

Nandini ( bad face ): I think I have a beautiful name, so you could drop that ' Doc '..

Sohesh ( grinned ): Why don't I call you "malicieux"...

Nandini ( surprised ): What..? Isn't it a french word..?

Sohesh ( surprised ): You speak french..?

Nandini ( smiled ): I have friends from Paris and so I know a bit, not so fluently..And, doesn't it mean ' mischievous '..?

Sohesh ( smirked ): It does..

Nandini ( frowned ): But, why do you want to call me like that..?

Sohesh ( grinned ): Because, you have a tinge of mischief in your eyes..there is a bubbly and naughty girl behind this doctor's face..

She could only gape at him..

Nandini: Do you read minds..? Or can you read personalities..?

Sohesh ( chuckled ): I can read one's face and whenever I saw you speaking there is something in your eyes which I can't read, but..its really pure..I know that..

She could only give an adorable smile to him..

Sohesh: So, shall we leave malicieux..?

She giggled and said yes..they both got in their cars and drove to the nearest ice cream parlor..

In Ice cream Parlor

Nandini and Sohesh settled on their seats..

Sohesh ( turned to Nandini ): Ah, here is the waiter..Come on..which flavor..?

Nandini ( smiled ): My all time favorite, Mint with chocolate chip..

Sohesh flinched with that reply from her..He was looking at her with softened eyes..

Guy 1: Shekhar..tere flavor..?

Shekhar: Sohesh Bhayya..don't you know my flavor..

Sohesh ( bad face ): Oh, I just forgot that you like only Mint with chocolate chip..

Shekhar grinned at him..They just bunked their classes and were sitting in the ice cream parlor which was near to their school..

Shekhar: I can't change my flavors like how you do..

Sohesh: How can you just eat the same flavor for the entire lifetime..? Look at me, I have eaten almost every flavor of my ice cream..

Guy 3: And, we could see it in your body..

Sohesh ( glared ): Sooraj..If you want, I can tell your Maths tutor abut your real mark sheet..

Sooraj ( scared ): Arey bhayya..main tho mazak kar raha tha..Kyu chote..

Shekhar ( coolly ): Mujhe kya patha..ye tho aap dono ke beech ke mamla hai..sort it out..

Sohesh/Sooraj: Kameene kahi ka..

Shekhar grinned at them..

Sohesh was brought out of his trance due to a tap on his hand. He looked up to see a worried Nandini sitting in front of her..

Nandini: Aap teek tho hain na..

Sohesh: Huh..haa..mein tekk hoon..( turned to waiter ) Get me a caramel butterscotch..

The waiter took the order and went away while Nandini was still staring at Sohesh..

Sohesh ( frowned ): Ghoor kyu rahe ho malicieux..?

Nandini ( softly ): Why did your eyes get teary..?

Sohesh got startled with that sudden question..

Nandini ( sighed ): I know it would be something personal, but then I saw your eyes getting teary so I just got worried..Sorry, if you felt bad..

Sohesh ( smiled ): Nothing like that beta..I was just..missing my brother..

Nandini looked at him in surprise..

Nandini: Your brothers are there at home right..I mean..were they on some tours that you are missing them..?

Sohesh ( sighed ): I have a brother, living somewhere in this world..Even I don't know where he lives..My father has 5 children and he is the fifth, the youngest and so he is very pampered but then he wasn't a spoiled one..He was the sweetest brother one could ask for..He is 2 years younger to me but then, we don't behave like typical elder and younger brothers..We were like buddies..Me, him and Sooraj..We were a group..We do all kind of adventurous stuffs..When you said your favorite flavor is Mint with chocolate chip, all I could see was him..it was his favorite too..If he eats ice creams then it would be that flavor, he would never switch, I used to mock at him for that..I..I..I am really missing him..

Nandini sat there in tears which were about to fall at any moment but before Sohesh could see it, she wiped it off..

Nandini: Why is he living away from you..?

Sohesh ( smiled ): heard about Love..? That changed everything..he fell in Love with a girl whom Appa doesn't approve of..She was an orphan and Appa always said that orphans would be ill mannered as they were never taught about culture and traditions but my brother never believed in it and so we..He fell in love with her so deep that he couldn't imagine a life without her. He fought with Appa for her and at last he got married to her and eloped with his best friends' help..He left all of us..

Sohesh was sitting there with eyes closed..Nandini took hold of his hand. He looked at her and she gave a sweet smile which made him smile too..

Nandini ( smiled ): Do you hate him and his wife..?

Sohesh ( surprised ): Hate him..? I can never even think about doing it..Its just, I am angry at myself for allowing such a thing to happen..if I had supported him at that time, maybe Appa would have considered it..He was nowhere at fault..I used to hate that girl whom he married but then when I saw my wife Mallika staying beside me in every ups and downs, I used to ask her why can't she let go off me when I am at my bad situation but then her reply just made me jump in joy..she said ' She loves me and when you love someone, you wouldn't see the negativity but only each other and so she would never leave my side '..This line of her's made me understand that just like how I fell for my wife, my chote too fell for his wife, only difference was he happened to be in love with his wife since college but I realized my love for Malli, after she gave birth to my 2 sons..

She smiled at his little confession. This confession made her beyond happy. She just got to know that there is a hope form Sohesh's side to get her family back in one piece. At least, he doesn't hate her mumma..

Nandini ( smiled ): Maybe, you should start believing in God..

Sohesh ( frowned ): I do believe in God..

Nandini ( smiled ): Then why don't you understand that you are going to be with your brother soon..You know, its always said that God will give only pleasure and happiness to bad people so that they could understand the taste of hell at their end. During their end, they could taste only sorrow and pain but for the good people, God has reserved the best. He would make them feel helpless, painful, betrayed and dejected but then it was just a beginning, at the end they would get only happiness because God wish good for good and bad for bad..Just like your life, you are sad since your brother isn't with you but this is just a beginning, the happiness is about to come to you, all you need to do is believe in God and wait for it with a smile on your face..And I don't think you are a bad person to deserve bad at the end..Are you..?

Sohesh was looking at her with adoration in his eyes..He never shared all those things with anyone, not even Mallika as he wanted to be that fake comical person and to hide his feelings inside his heart but then this little girl just took all his sadness out of him and gave him a hope..Maybe, she might be the reason for his happiness..

Sohesh ( smiled ): Thank you beta..

Nandini ( smiled ): Pleasure is mine..

Soon the ice cream came and they started having it..

Nandini ( curiously ): Waise, why did you share your this sadness with me..I mean, I have never heard about this fifth child of your Dad, so it must be something you don't want others to know..then why..me..?

Sohesh looked at her in surprise, even he didn't know why he shared it..

Sohesh ( smiled thoughtfully ): Maybe, I trust you enough to share it..

She grinned widely and soon they finished their little father-daughter date and went back home..

In MishNa Mansion

Nandini's Bedroom

Nandini was lying on top of Manik who was stroking her hair while she was just lost in his warmth..

Manik ( smiled ): So, you think he could help you in getting your parents unite with DJ..?

Nandini ( sighed ): I don't know Mani..but he was very sad Mani..I felt like Appa was sitting and sharing all his worries with me..Kisine sach kaha Mani, khoon khoon hi hotha hai..isiliye mujhe Bade Papa ko aise dekhke ithna dukh hua jab mere aur unke beech ke rishtha sirf kuch dino se hua..

Manik ( smiled ): Tumhare aur unke rishtha bohath gehra hai Baby girl, kyunki tum unki beti ho aur wo chahe ya nahi par rishtha bin janthe hi pehchan sakthe, isiliye tho aaj tumse who sab kuch share kiya, if you were a mere stranger for him then he wouldn't have done it and regarding your worry for him..( he chuckled )..you are ready to love even your enemy then how can you neglect your own Bade Papa..

She smacked his arms but then snuggled more into him making him smile..

Manik ( ginned ): Waise..do you have any plans to kill me..?

Nandini ( confused ): Hain..?

Manik ( smirked ): Don't you think you have dressed up in a way that I can't control myself..

She looked at her dress and noticed it..She turned red and then kept her hand on her buttons when he stopped her..

Manik ( huskily ): Well, you always dress to kill. Do you find it interesting to give me a heart attack every time I see you?

She blushed but then gently placed her lips on his which was enough for him to understand..He smiled and responded to the kiss..
