Nandu opened the door with the spare key she has, as it was 12 am and she didn't want to disturb her parents at this hour. She entered and moved towards the staircase.

Then they narrated the whole story to him, they didn't even forget to praise Nandu even in one line of their story.

She went and opened the door to find Nandu standing there with her ever shining smile.

Nandini's POV

It was 12 pm, which means its time for my rounds so I headed to Mr. Malhotra's room, the operation case. I knocked at his room door and found the same lady who was shouting at Dr. Vedant. I smiled at her and she returned me a bright smile of hers too.

Nandu: Umm Hi, I am Dr. Nandini..

Lady: Ahh..we were waiting for you..between I am Anjali Malhotra.

Nandu: Oh, nice to meet you Mam. I am here for Mr. Malhotra's check up.

Anjali: Please come in..Papa is already awake..

I smiled at her and entered with a nod. I could see the same faces which I saw yesterday and there was some one who was facing his back towards me, he was on phone. I smiled at everyone and greeted them. My gaze fell on Mr. Malhotra who was watching me with..umm..a shock on his face..SHOCK? Why is he shocked ? Chucking my thoughts I went towards him.

Nandu ( smile ): Namasthe Mr. Malhotra..

He came out of his trance and greeted me without any expression on his face.

Nandu: I am here for your check up..

Anjali: She was the one who operated you, papa.

Mr. M: Ohh..

I started doing my work but I could feel his gaze on me. He still seems in a shocked state. I completed checking him, but he was still in the trance. I couldn't take it anymore.

Nandu: Mr. Malhotra..?

No response..I shook his shoulder a bit, he came out of his trance.

Mr. M: Huh ?

Nandu: Are you alright ?

Mr. M: Umm..Yh..

Nandu: Then why do you look lost ? You even look like you are shocked. What is it ?

Mr. M: Nothin..I am just having Pain..

Nandu ( smiled ): It's okay. You'll get relieved within few days.

He was looking shocked again. Why do I give him this much shocks Rab ji.. !!

Mr. M: WHAT ?

Nandu: Nandini Murthy..par aap ithna shocked kyu ?

Nandu ( smiled ): oh..like that..

I was about to bid them bye but suddenly I got startled by a voice..

I turned to get a shock..

Nandu: Tum ?

Person: Tum yaha kya kar rahe hai Nandu ?

Nandu: I can ask the same question Manik..

Manik: Well, I asked you first..

Nandu: Tho ? Kahi likha hai kya ki jo pehle poochtha hai usseko pehle jawab dena chahiye ?

Manik: Nahi, par mere hisab se thumhe pehle jawab dena chahiye, wese bhi Ladies first..

Rest of the Malhotras were gaping at them seeing them fighting without any reason and that too their Manu was knowing a girl whom they knew only a night back..

Anjali: Ek minute..ladna bandh karo..Mein bathathi hoon, tum dono tho kabhi nahi bathane wale..Manik..yeh hai Dr. Nandini..juske bare mein ab hum bath kar rahe the..aur Dr. Nandini..yeh Manik hai..Humara pehla beta..

(MaNan were shocked with the information )

I got shocked hearing that I had operated Manik's relatived..Mr. M is an old man, so he must be Manik's grand father..wait.....grand father ? mathlan Manik's DAADU ? Oh shit Manik is very close to Daadu..he would have been in a vulnerable state..but where was he yesterday..

Anjali: Ab bathao..tum log kese janthe ho ?

The lady near to Mrs. Anjali came forward..

Suddenly all the 3 mothers turned to me..trust me their faces were lit up like a bulb..they looked at me like I was their favourite chocolate and were afraid to open it since they afraid they will eat me and I will finish soo quick so they wont be able to relish it..WTH...Like seriously chocolate ? Nandu..tum pagal ho gayi ho..I came out of my thoughts when I felt a hand on my cheek..I looked up to find Manik's mom..

Manik's Mom: You are soo beautiful..

Anjali ( kissed my forehead ): You are just like I sai, a PARI inside out.

Ary Mumma ( cupped my cheeks ): I knew that my Manu's choice will be the best.

I was gaping at them like they were some aliens and I couldn't find their category..Seeing me confused I guess, Manik rushed towards me.

Manik: Mums, yeh aap kya kar rahe hai..I am sorry Nandini..wo actually they got excited ( I gave a confused look ) Ahh..I mean..They were so eager to meet you, as you are my first friend who have no connection with any of my siblings..usually I become friends with my siblings's friends..

Nnadu ( convinced ): Oh..( I smiled ) Looks like I am special then..

Manik smiled at me..

Nandu: Umm..actually..I am on rounds..mujhe aur bhi patients hai..so I gotta go.. ( they nodded at me in understanding and I was about to go but then i got remembered and turned to Manik ) Umm Manik..Your Daadu is perfectly fine..you don't need to get worried..

He gave me his best of smile, which I returned back and bade them bye.

Here inside the room, Manik was smiling like a fool thinking ' she remembers that I am the closest to Daadu, she cares for me '

While his mothers were happy for their son, his fathers were confused, his siblings were still shocked with their brother's behaviour and Daadu..he was in deep thouts..let his thoughts be a secret for the time being..
