"Tum ro rahe ho?" Nandini asked seeing her 30 year husband crying like a 3 year old

"Manik" she said rubbing his shoulder

"Nandu I was going to raise hand on her" he cried taking the tissues which Anika forwarded to him

"But did you see he tone" he cried more

"Aide baat karta hai koi apne baap se" he cried more

"Manik" Nandini said in a defeated tone

"Nandu" he finally hugged her though her waist crying and she signed looking at Anika

"Khushi Di?" Nandini asked

"Woh baccho ke pass hai" Anika told her

"Yaha tumhara pati ro raha hai tumhe duniya ki padi hai" Manik whined

"Maine usko kitna jor se pakada, bechari meri bacchi ko lag gaya hoga na" Manik said wiping his tears

"Tumhari bacchi Martial Arts sikhi hai" Nandini said to pacify

"That does not justify me raising hand on my daughter" Manik said

"Hello she is my daughter, legally, meri beti hai wo" Manik said a bit loud

"Aur woh mujhe keh rahi hai 'you are not my Dad' mujhe aisa bola usne. I am her Dad na Nandini?" he turned to his wife woh nooded yes

"Toh usne aisa kyu bola?" Fresh tears rolled down in his eyes

"Manik she is angry on us" she said stopping to her own tears

"But that doesn't mean I am not her Dad" he wiped is tears again and left from there

"Bhaut pyar karta hai usse" Anika said looking at Manik

"Bhaut" Nandini said and wiped her tears

"Tu bhi bahut pyar karti hai na usse" Anika said shifting towards Nandini and keeping her hand over her shoulder

"She is my daughter, Janam Nahi diya usse, but she is my daughter" Nandini said hugging Anika and crying as Anika consoled her

Manik moved out when he banged with someone

"Sorry" he said and saw Shivay and Avni standing behind Shivay

"Tu thik hai?" Shivay asked and Manik looked everywhere but them controlling his tears

"I am fine, Mujhe koi fark nahi padta, I don't get hurt" Manik said and left

"Was he crying?" Shivay asked Avni who nodded a no

"Tum sab dekh lo thik hai?" Shivay said and she nooded following Manik

"Woh Shivay sir asked me to assist you in the project" he said and Manik cleanched his fist and Avni saw that

"I mean you are there from the Malhotra's front, Arav from AR's so he asked me to be there from our.... I mean from Oberio's side" she choose her words carefully

"Anything else?" he asked

"You ok with it?" Avni asked

"Ofcourse, aab jab tumhare SHIVAY SIR ne bol hi diya hai toh main kon hota hi oppose karne wala" he said stressing on Shivay Sir

"Aap kahi jaa rahe hai?" she asked

"Haan" he answered curtly "Oh should I report your Shivay Sir first that I am going" he asked her

"I didn't mean it that way..." she said

"No? Then how did you mean it?" Manik said rudely

"Aap bin baat ke rude ho rahe hai" she said as he big eyes again filled with tears but she didn't let them fall and stood strong

She heard Manik laugh!

"Listen tum uss Shivay ki PA ho na, toh ho to him, yaha kya kar rahi ho, I am toh no one to you, go GO!" he said again making her flinch

"I am sorry" she cried and was turning to leave when Manik pulled and hugged her

"I am your Dad, I am your Dad" he said crying and Avni tried hard not to cry

"Just an intern" she said coming out of the hug

"Just an intern" she again said creating distance between them, her eyes filled with tears but she didn't let them form and nooded her head continuously as removed her hand from Manik's

"You know that's not true na, you know" he held it again

"Aap hi ne kaha tha uss din" she yelled at him

"Tujhe pata hai yeh sach nahi hai" Manik said as Anika, Nandini, Shivay, Shail, Niharika and Shail came out

"MERI BETI HO TUM! YOU ARE MY DAUGHTER! MANIK MALHOTRA KI BETI HO TUM" he yelled on top of his voice telling it to the world

"You uss din kyu nahi bola? Kyu nahi bola!" Agni pushed him away asking him

"MAAR DETE WO TUMHE! Maar dete!" he cried holding her by her arms

London (5 years back)

Manik was playing with Abhir laughing his lungs out. It was a week his father had visited and everyone got to know what Raj has proposed Manik and what he has chosen, everyone but Avni

Manik didn't even tell her that the person she meat that day was his father. All saw he was sad but today he was really happy!

He got the papers in the morning. Avni was legally his daughter now. He had shared the news with only Nandini and today when Avi will be here he will suprise her...

He had picked Abhir and swinged him in the air when Keren said

"Boss Jake is calling"

"Pick it up" Manik commanded

"Sir Avni isn't at school" came Jake's panicked voice

"What do you mean she would be around Jake check the school" Manik said casually

"No Sir, she isn't here" Jake said and since everyone was present home they heard the conversation. Nandini panciked immediately

"Look for her" she ordered Jake

"Ask Nikharika" she added

"Ma'am the term is getting over, Nikharika's parents are here she is with them not in school" Jake informed

"Ask other students" Manik said

"One of her classmate said that someone offered her chocolate, and after that she complained about being giddy so she went to the sick bay but after that no one has seen her" Jake informed

"Jake look in the school I'll be there" Manik said and hung up

"Keren connect to Avni" he comanded

There was silence for few moment and then the phone was picked

"Avni! Kiddo! Where the hell are you? How can you be so irresponsible...."

"Hello son" they heard the voice and panicked

"Where is my daughter? Where is my daughter Neyonika!" Nandini yelled on top of her voice

"Oh look, Meri bahu kitni tadap rahi hai, wanna see your Kiddo Manik?" she cut the call and Manik recieved a video call he connected immidately to the projector and picked it up. His hands were shivering

There they saw Avni dumped in a corner of a wearhouse, she was unconscious

"Mari nahi hai, bas behosh hai" they heard Neyonika

"Par kabhi bhi maar sakti hai" she added

Neyonika what do you want?" Manik asked

"Mujhe kuch nahi chaiye Manik" she said

"Haan but he need something" she turned the camera and everyone grasp

Raj Malhotra was seating there

"Dad" Manik whispered, he felt his legs frozen

"I have a Deal Manik" he said

"Get rid of this peice of shit and I let her go and even give you your wealth Manik" he stated

"Never, I won't let go my daughter" Manik said

"And J don't want your money" he added

"Soch lo beta, varna news paper mein raped and murdered ki headlines common hai" Raj said and Manik felt numb

"You won't touch my daughter, you bastard" he yelled

"I won't but my men will" Raj said coldly

"Aap.... Kyu... Please" Manik pleaded

"Tell me you will let her go and I will send her back without even a scratch Manik" Raj said and Manik looked at Nandini who nooded a yes immidately

"Fine but let her go, let her go now" he said as he heard Nandini's sobs and even Mukti, Navya, Aliya were crying

"She will be with you in half an hour" Neyonika said and the phone went off

Manik sat on his knees slowly looking at the projector

"Manik" Cabir and Druv were near him as Abhi was consoling Nandu

"I am ashamed they are my parents" Manik said and tears made ways
