Manik entered Oberio office in a foul mood today. The only thing keeping him sane was the thought that Nandini is going to take him out today. He entered his cabin and one of his PA got in

"Call he public school in Masoori" he ordered

"Tell the principal I want to speak to him" he added as the PA took his orders and was working on same

There was a knock at his door in five minutes

"Come in"

"Sir, Shivay Sir ne apko conference room mein bulaya hai" he looked to see Shivay's manager there

"Mishra, Avni kaha hai?" Manik asked

"Woh aaj usne chutti li hai sir" Mishra informed as Manik got up and buttoned his shirt and walked to the conference room

"Avni kaha hai?" Arnav asked looking around

"She has taken a leave and I am so on toss" he said

"Sube se I have not got proper paper works, proper files, nothing, not even my Americano aur mer saar phata has rha hai" he said holding his head

"Relax Shivay" Arnav said and Manik entered the room in his jet Navy Blue tux

"Hi Manik" Arnav greeted only to get a nod from him

"Shivay why isn't Avni here?" he askd

"Manik I don't know she just mailed me that she won't come" Shivay replied and Arnav looked at them. Manik looked disturb and Shivay while telling him about Avni had a kind of sympathy in his eyes

"Let's start then" Manik said and they discussed about the future detail of their mergers

After meeting Manik walked out to see Nandini there waiting

"You are done?" she asked and Manik had a smile he hooded excitedly

"Challo" she said and take him to the car

"Yeh kaha aaye hum?" Manik said looking at the building, it wasn't a bad one but not a decent one too. It was somewhere between that

"Dad talks like Ladoo from K3G" Advay said making Nandini laugh. Manik was already pissed with the fact that Advay was accompanying for their date but now Nandini had brought him to this weird place and his son was teasing him, thing are going just great!

"Chup kar chuze" Manik said

"What does chuze mean?" his son asked

"Aadha angerz" Manik said and turn to his son from the passenger seat as Nandini enjoyed their breeking

"Pra ban jaye toh das de menu" Manik completed

"You just saw K3G I guess, aap usike dialogues bol rahe ho, he said and came in front, it was rainnig heavily again today. They were sitting in the car looking out at the building, the color had faded out and the name was not visible

"Mom what is chuze?" Advay asked Nandini who was trying to think about the ways for handling Manik

"It means chicken" said Nandini looking at him, he was settled on Manik's lap

"So you..." he looked at Manik and Manik saw is on was upto something

"One two buckle my shoe
Three four shut the door..." Advay started to recite when Nandini interrupted him

"Point pe aao" she siad

"Ok" Advay said and and looked at Manik have a smirk and then Nandini

"Nine ten a big fat he...." and Manik plamed his mouth and Nandini glares at both

"Who? What? Big fat kya?" Nandini challenged them to say it again

"Maine kya bola, Dad said I am a chuze so you are a..."

"Advay!" Nandini glares at him

"Shut up or else no chicken for both of you, veg khana phir pura week" she said

"Aap mujhe hi mein kaise khane de sakte ho" Advay asked

"Arey Dad said I am a chicken, you said you are not going to let us eat chicken" he added to make Nandini glare at Manik, his son was his copy

"Chup kar mere baap" Manik plamed his mouth again

"Arey paar Baap toh aap no, mein beta hu" he said

"What will you take to shut up?" Manik asked him

"Dida pass challo" Advay said and Manik's changed, he didn't even know where his daughter live

"Ok" Nandini said and took him in her arms and got out of the car as, the rains had subsided till then

Seeing her get down and Manik followed her.

Manik POV

What? Where is she going? What does she mean by Ok? Ek second! I looked around at the place... No, No! No Manik not happening. I followed her, when I got in the Building I had to duck my head to get in and then took the stairs, some of them were broken too. I looked around when we reached second floor, the water of rain was accumulated in the lobby, half of the things were out of the house, clothes were kept outside to dry.... what place is this? I followed Nandini four floors, where is the freaking lift dude! It had started to drizzle again, Mumbai is heck unpredictable during rains, I looked out of the lobby a group of people were gathered around our car, chucking all negative thoughts I turned to follow Nandini when a cat jumped from nowhere in the lobby doing a very agressive 'Meow'.... Fuck! that gave me an heart attack, you know what was the amazing thing, no-one recognised me, I guess they were to busy to eve notice me, or maybe they don't even know me, or may be they don't except me here. I stopped behind Nandini, a cream door was seen, it was closed. Nandini knocked the door... tere was no freaking bell ! But no one answered so she knocked again.

"Nahi kholat ahe ti" an aunty said from behind us. She was wearing a towel over her night gown, interesting dressing and Greek language

"Arey khol nahi Rahi woh" she said seeing the three all of us confused

"Kyu?" Nandini asked

"Aab mujhko kya pata? Kal se awaj nahi, Kamal kaki bhi aai thi aur Sonu bhi, kuch kaha bhi nahi, so Rahi hai shayad" the aunty said

Nandini banged the door again this time

"Kay ahe Sonu... mi bolli na..." (Kya hai Sonu.... Maine bola na...) Avni appeared opening the door and looked at us with wide eyes

"What the hell" I yelled making the three jump a little

"Aye chokre kya bomba bom kar raha hai han?" the aunty said  from my back but who cares there was my daughter, her eyes sore, her nose were red and her face was pale

I walked to her and kept my hand on her fore head

"You are freaking burning" I yelled again

"Yeh Sonu dekh toh yeh chokra Anni me ghar mein ghus rela hai" the aunt yelled

"Maushi mi olakhte yaana" I heard Avni (Mausi mein jaanti hu inhe)

"Anni kay zala" a boy came running and Avni pressed her forehead (Anni kya hua?)

"Stop yelling idiot" I yelled at him

"Chamari Manik Malhotra! Aai shappat!" he looked at me (Maa kasam Manik Malhotra)

"Aaa" Avni pressed her forehead an Nandini walked to her but she took a step back, hurt flash in Nandini's eyes

"Advay ko infection hoga" Avni told her seeing him in Nandini's arms

"Dida" Advay called her

"Dida!" that Sonu guy yelled again and Avni made a face

"Stop yelling mere Dida Ko hurt ho raha hai" Advay meeked out, my super caring baby

I walked to Avni and picked her up. My daughter has grown by height but the weighs lesser then before

"Don't you protest" I warned her

"I didn't plan to" she said snuggling in me, I could see tears forming in her eyes, she looked at Sonu who nooded a yes as I moved out with her Nandini following me with Advay Sonu looked the room and gave keys to her

That room was not even half of my bathroom, my daughter stayed here, but she will not stay in this room from now, yes that was just a room and not her home, because her home is with us, with me Nandini and Advay, with our family.

"Aye chokre kidhar leke jata hai porgi ko aisa uthake?" a man came blocking my way as people gathered around us

"Aapko kya?" I said

"Arey hum ko kya matlab, kal ko iss chokri ka kuch hua toh police ko kya bolege" he said seeing at Avni

"Aur mein iska makan Malik hai, pata hi tha chokri gad bad hai, chal chalan bhi...."

"Oh Kaka" Sonu said intervening him, I swear agar haat mein Avni nahi hoti toh yeh zamin ke andar gaad deta main

"Aye Sonu bich mein may bol" he yelled and Avni hissed, Fuck I'll kill him!

"Aisa isko leke jayega, sara saman toh yahi hai, bhada kon dega mera?" he added

"Kya hisab hai tumhara?" I asked him

"Tera hazar bada hai har mahine is bhada" he said

I looked at Nandini who put Advay down and singed a 20000 check and thrusted it angrily in his hand and picked Advay

"Saman sham tak khali ho jayega" she added arrogantly

"Aur police ko bol dena Manik Malhotra apni beti ko le gaya" I said and walked with Avni as Nandini followed besides me with Advay in her arms as people saw us leave

I am not letting her go again, ever!
