Nandini's POV

We reached vedant villa and we both stepped out of the car.

"Thank you so much for the beautiful ride nans." Soha said hugging me

"Bas aise hi bye.. andar nahi bulaogi?" I asked and she laughed

"Chal nautanki." she said as she dragged me inside

We both entered the mansion and saw abhimanyu and cabir sitting in the living room.

Or should I say playing.

Abhimanyu was throwing popcorn while cabir was trying to catch them through his mouth

"Hey boys." Soha said as she settled herself beside abhimanyu

"Hey soha, hi nandini." abhimanyu said smiling at us

"Manik went out to look for some lamps." cabir said as he stuffed his mouth with popcorn

"Oh okay." I said while soha looked at me shocked

"Clearing the things, I know them and they know me." I said raising my hands in air

"HOW?" She asked

"I am aliya's friend." I said smiling

"Don't tell me you are the NANDINI MURTHY?" she asked raising her eyebrows

"I am." I said smiling

"Wow, I thought you would be really egoistic and arrogant as you are from 'The Devil Diva's"she confessed

"Everyone thinks the same. It's okay." I said as I smiled

"You know I love you." she said and I smiled

"Thank you." I said

"Girls... what's happening?" cabir asked interfering us

"Oh, you just need to know that we are best of friends. Nothing else." Soha said throwing a pillow to him

"That's nice to hear." Dhruv said as he walked down the stairs

"Hey nandini, finished with shopping?" he asked

"Yep jiju." I said smiling.

"But still your room is left." manik said entering the house

"And our Manik Malhotra is back in the mansion." cabir, soha and abhimanyu announced together

"Shut up you three." manik glared them while they passed a sheepish smile

"Now you both get back to work." Dhruv said

"Let's go." I said as I got up

We both walked to dhruv's room and saw the room painted with neutral colour now.

"Hmmm... so let's start with the lamps." I said and he nodded

We both arranged the lamp and the carpet with curtains and pillows and arranged aliya's book in the shelf replacing the video games and we also arranged a keyboard in the room.

"So this is done." I said looking around the room while Manik nodded

"What about the balcony?" I asked

"Oh yes, I'll show you." manik said as he pulled me with him

I entered the glass door and moved inside. After looking at the balcony I looked back at manik while he looked at me for a reaction

The balcony had a sofa placed near the entrance while the books were arranged there and the other two walls were of glass which were adding the beauty and light to the room.

"How is it?" manik asked and I looked at him

"It's amazing..." I said looking around

"Thank god." he took a breath of relief

"Manik we need yoga mat to be placed here in place of this carpet." I said and he nodded

"Okay than, I think the work is done." I said turning to him

"Nooooo...." he shouted

"Why?" I asked

"The main job is incomplete." he said and we walked inside the room

He placed two boxes on the bed while I opened them curiously only to find photo frames

"Pictures?" I asked and he smiled

"Okay. You are not that dumb." I said and his eyes popped out

"You thought I was dumb?" he asked turning me from my shoulders

"So, let's get to work." I said turning to the wall

"These will be here." I said and he nodded

"And this will be here." I said pointing another picture of aliya

"This will be there." Manik said as he pointed the picture of four of us and the space above the bed

"No. that's a special place. Let's reserve it for their wedding picture." I said

"But we don't have their wedding picture. And we need to complete everything today." manik said and I smiled

"Don't worry, after coming back we will place it." I said smiling when I felt something wet on my feet

Hey, wait. Wet? On my feet?

I looked down and to my horror I saw a huge dog licking my and manik's feet

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" I shouted as I ran downstairs for my life

I jumped on the couch in living room while cabir abhi and soha looked at me and they too stood up on the couch beside me

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" We all shouted together jumping on the couch

"Arre chup!" Dhruv shouted on top of his voice and we looked at him

"What happened?" he asked

"Nandini shouted, so I thought of joining her." Soha said pointing me

"What happened nandini?" Dhruv asked confused

"There is a dog in the room... and... and... it's... HUGE!!!!" I said in horror

"Bruno?" Abhi asked as he settled on the sofa

"I don't know.... he is huge...." I said trying to catch my breath

"Oh that is Bruno, he is manik's golden retriever." cabir said as he got off the couch and gave me his hand

"I am scared of dogs." I said grabbing a glass of water.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" I shouted as I saw the dog and Manik coming down

"Shhh... nandini...." Soha said and I ran out ke the house as soon as possible.

"Nandini..." they all shouted together

I had no energy and courage left to see the dog again so I sat on the bench in the garden catching my breadth when I saw a glass of water in front of me

I looked up and saw manik's mom standing there with the glass

"Thank you auntie." I said and took the glass

"Better?" she asked sitting beside me and I nodded

"Manik?" I asked as manik stood in front of us painting heavily

"What happened to you?" I asked as I passed him water

"Woh, I was finding... you.." he said and I glared him

"You idiot! I am not a kid, I can take care of myself and who comes running like this?" I asked as I hit him on his shoulder

"Sorry... sorry." he apologising and I walked to niyonica auntie and sat beside her

"First he gets me scared from Bruno and now he gets me scared like he has someone running after him." I said complaining while she smiled

"First she scares me running out of house like a maniac and then..." manik said complaining

"And then what? Bolna... bol..." I asked

"Then maine kuch kiya hi nahi." I said completing his sentence

"Bas... bas... bas... relax... aur manik, when you know that she is scared of dogs you should have kept Bruno away from her." niyonica auntie said

"Thank you auntie." I said side hugging her and showing tongue to Manik when my phone rang

I saw aae calling

"Haan aaie" I said picking the call

"Tu kahan hai nandu?" she asked from the other side

"Main.. main... office." I said fumbling with words

" Mī tumhālā phōḍaṇē hō'īla" she said angrily

(I'll slap you now.)

"Sorry aie" I said sheepishly

" Sadhyā yēthē yētāta. Tō āpalyā bahiṇīcyā lagna āhē." she said and hung up

(come here right now, it's your sisters wedding)

I put the phone back and looked at at manik and niyonica auntie

" Malā jāyalā havē" I said and they looked at me

"Oh sorry..." I said getting the reason for their reaction

"I need to go now." I said and Manik nodded

"Manik, go drop her." niyonica auntie said and I smiled

"Thanks auntie, but I got my car." I said

"Aise kaise, manik will drop you. Car driver rakh dega." she said

"No auntie, it's fine." I said and she looked at me

"Sure?" she asked and I nodded

I walked to my car waving them while both of them waved back
