Ting...

But now he just tossed the phone in the bed and went to the balcony...Looking at the sky he could see the stars shining....It was already 11:55 at night and the day was going to end soon..

Not just a day but his birthday..

And again a ping was heard but he just ignored it..

He was scrolling through his Instagram account since more than an hour...no he was not reading the wishes he was getting from his millions of fans... Being a rock star..that too a youth rock star he gained name and fame ...love and respect...like no others as his voice is said to be god gifted which can depict every emotion in a person from dance number to emotional...One feels it if the song is sung by him...So the craze was obvious...And today being his birthday just added to it...As all were on their line of giving first wish...From friend to family...And similarly his fans who could not meet him were wishing him on all his accounts throughout the social media...

But yet he was restless somewhere....that one special thing was still not placed correctly today..Today..A day when everything was so perfect yet something was just not right...A day well spent yet something was left behind...A day when everyone was gathered yet someone was missing...A day when smile was there in his face all the time but still the one smile...a heart warming smile was not in sight....A day where wishes were not lacking yet seemed a wish was still in need...

And looking at the sky he saw a star falling and like always he closed his eyes to wish when he heard a voice..

"Don't believe in stars..Just believe in me...And I will shine for u humesha...."

Smiling to himself he just closed his eyes and remembered her...No wish nothing her smiling face and finally the magic..her magic did it's works as something that was missing just got back..his smile radiating his happiness...his closed eyes and a face glowing in the starlight...And her...her smile..her voice..her scent just surrounded him and finally he opened his eyes which held the spark just like a star and she was the reason for it.........

And finally the wall clock struck 12 showing the end of his day...And he went to bed to sleep or rather say to just drown in the memories 7 years back when he proposed her  in front of whole college ....

"Will you be my girlfriend?" manik asked while the crowd cheered for them and asked her to say yes but her one word reply made everything stop..

"Kyun?" 

"Aree what kyun...It should rather be yes or no..." manik kept his point..

"Not it should be kyun only...What's there in yes or no..NOTHING..but in kyun you get the reason from your life partner........." nandini said while manik could just smirk...

"Life partner..wow..you are fast murthy..I was just asking for a girlfriend and u are thinking something else..." manik smirked while nandini rolled her eyes...

"Malhotra don't change the topic..That was in general..So kyun?" nandini again asked the same thing..

"I knew u will say something like this...I should have directly said what I have prepared not this girlfriend thing...."

"And what was that u were planning to say..." nandini asked curiously..

"Marry Me Nandini..." nandini just smiled and her reply again ceased the happy cheers of the crowd while manik was pissed...

"KYUN??" 

"Kyun ki u don't have choice for this...If u say yes then no problem..But if u say no then also I won't leave u...And here I am not asking u I am saying u my decision..." 

"And that's My Manik..." that was it..

He took her in a bone crushing hug and kissed her forehead lingering his lips for sometime with eyes closed while she too closed her eyes to feel the moment...

All though they will marry soon but destiny played it's game and....

"Manik...manik..." 

"Hann..." saying so manik got up with a jerk and looked at the surrounding to see everyone glaring at him...He was late as he was busy seeing a beautiful dream of him proposing his love

Realisation struk him hard...Grabbing the clothes from hand of one of the person present there and got in the washroom shouting..

"I will get ready asap..." manik said while entering the wash room...After closing the bathroom he heard a voice...

"Manik...your marriage is at night...It's just 5 in the morning..I know u haven't met Nandini since a week as before marriage u guys weren't allowed to meet or say..."

Before that person could complete...manik came out and spoke...

"Nandini Murthy had given me a time period of one week to enjoy my bachelor hood along with my birthday for one last time with whomever I want because from next day Nandini Manik Malhotra will enter my life and become my world till my last breathe."

That's when he heard a voice ...

"Happy Belated Birthday soon-to-be-Hubby"

His faced had a million dollar smile seeing her though just video call , not exactly video call but video message but he was seeing her after a week and that was enough to get him more excited for his marriage with love of his life.
