Nandini's pov

Life is so unexpected right..we never know what destiny has store in for us in future...sometimes someone comes in ur life so unexpectedly...takes ur heart by surprise and changes ur life forever...same thing happened with me.....for me love is not only something u feel..it is something u do...we cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known and when we honour the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust respect kindness and affection...love is not something we give or get...it is something that we nurture and grow...a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them...we can only love others as much as we love ourselves....

In my case no such thing happened...infact that day was the worst day of my life when i was fallen in love...I loved him with all my heart but in return I only got betrayal..yes...u heard it right...betrayal which broke me and my heart...

"Stab the body and it heals...but injure the heart and the wound lasts a lifetime"

To me the thing which is worst than death is betrayal...I could conceive death but I could not conceive betrayal....

He says " it was a mistake" 
But the cruel thing was
"It felt that the mistake was mine for trusting him"

Now no one can heal her heart except his love....

Author's pov

Lost in her thoughts Nandini enter the college campus but the sight infront of her broke her completely...there was her love...her Manik talking with some other girl...but the thing which broke her was their closeness....he was so close to her holding her hand and kissing her knuckles time to time...a lone tear escape her eye which she wiped immediately...

She starts walking towards her classroom but bumped with someone....

She raised her gaze only to see raghav standing there with a smirk lingered on his face....

Raghav is her classmate....he is the son of one of the politician of city...so no one dares to cross his path....Nandini is aware of this truth but is unaware that he is behind her from long time....he wants her by hook or by crook...also she does'nt know that the reason behind Manik's betrayal is raghav...raghav is a murderer...a rapist...but still he is freely roaming out with no fear....and the reason is lack of evidences....

Raghav:hello beautiful...

Nandini can feel Manik's strong gaze on her.....but she decide to ignore Manik and gave a smile to raghav...

Nandini:hii..

Manik clenched his fist tightly seeing them chitchatting....

Manik:Alya...

(So the girl with Manik was Alya)

Alya:hmm..

Manik:raghav...voh Nandini se baat kar raha hai...kahi voh use kuch ...

Alya:shh..aisa kuch nahi hoga Manik...yaha sab log hai toh voh sabke saamne kuch nahi kar sakta ....

Manik:still i m scared...

Raghav:tum classroom ki taraf jaa rahi ho na...chalo saath main chalte hai...

Nandini looks at Manik who was already looking at them...

Nandini:sure...chale....

Raghav nods and both leaves from there...manik was about to go behind them but Alya stops him....

Alya:ruko Manik....

Manik:Alya voh Nandini uske saath gayi hai...agar usne Nandini ko kuch kar diya toh..

Alya:Manik...hume sabar rakhna hoga....

Manik sighs

In classroom....

Nandini was sitting with raghav whereas Manik was sitting with Alya....

Manik was continuously looking at them but our Nandini was concentrating on lecture...

Manik found that raghav was intentionally going close to Nandini and he can see how uncomfortable Nandini was feeling......

He was only waiting for lecture to end...

Finally his wish granted and the bell rings...Nnadini gets up and was about to leave but raghav held her hand...

Nandini:what the hell raghav...leave my hand...

Manik who saw this goes towards them

Manik:uska haath chod raghav...

Nandini(to manik):tumhe meri chinta karne ki koi zarurat nahi hai...i can take care of myself...tum jao apni new found girlfriend ke paas(she says last line staring at Alya)

Raghav(to Manik):sun liya tumne...use tumhari koi zarurat nahi hai...now u can leave....

Manik was only staring at Nandini ..

Nandini jerks raghav's hand..

Nandini(to raghav):don't u dare touch me again...

Saying these she leaves from there....

Raghav gets furious...no one dares to talk with him like this...

He too goes behind her followed by Manik and Alya....

Manik:raghav ruk...

They all are in campus now where all students are present including some proffesors and principal...

Raghav holds Nandini's hand tightly and starts draging her...

Nandini(while trying to getting out of his grip):raghav leave me...

She looks at Manik who was coming towards them...she really don't want his help specially after his betrayal...

She at once jerks his hand and slaps him hard....due to this sudden slap raghav falls down holding his cheek...he looks around and founds that other students were laughing and gossiping at his condition....

Manik who saw this was all shocked and scared..

He runs towards them and drags Nandini with him.....

Raghav's anger was at its peak now...his eyes were bloodshot red due to anger...

Manik drags Nandini in college's storeroom....

He closes the door and then shouts at her...

Manik(shouts):are u mad...kya zarurat thi use thappad maarne ki...agar voh tumhe kuch kar deta toh....

Nandini was somewhere happy that he still cares for her....but then she remembers his betrayal...

Flashback 2 weeks back

Nandini was waiting for Manik in college auditorium....

2 hrs passed still there was no sign of him...she called him many times but his number was unreachable...

She got worried now...

She was about to leave from there but then she saw him coming towards her...she releases sigh of relief seeing him safe...

Nandini hugs him tightly

Nandini:Manik...kaha the tum...itni der kyun laga di..i was so scared...

Manik at once broke the hug jerking her away....Nandini was shocked seeing his reaction....

Nandini:Manik..

Manik:Nandini mujhe lagta hai hume ab alag ho jaana chahiye...we should break our relation....

Shocked would be an understatement for Nandini...

Nandini:Manik...dekho yeh mazaak karne ka time bilkul nahi hai....tumhe pata hai na i don't like this type of jokes...

Manik:main mazaak nahi kar raha Nandini...I don't love u anymore...

Nandini(hurt):u don't love me..

Manik:I love someone else..

Alya comes there and hugs Manik which shattered Nandini completely 

Alya:Manik baby...tum yaha kya kar rahe ho...

Manik(looking at Nandini):kuch nahi...bas kuch important kaam karna tha jo ho gaya...lets go..

Saying this he leaves with Alya ....Nandini was broken...she was just looking at their retreating figure...

Flashback ends...

She jerks him away

Nandini:why do u care...main jiyu ya maru usse tumhe kya...

He gets angry listening this and holds her from waist

Manik(screams):Because I love u dammitt...

Nandini was stunned...if he loves her then why did he betrayed her...

Nandini:U love Alya Manik...

Manik:I don't love Alya...I only love u...I have always loved u...That was not betrayal Nandini....that was love...pure love....

Nandini gets confused hearing this....

Nandini:what do u mean...

Manik sighs and thought to tell her the whole truth...

Flashback...

Manik was going to meet Nandini after good 2 days as both were busy with their families...Manik was heading towards auditorium...he was able to see Nandini standing there waiting for him...he was about to go towards her but raghav comes in middle stopping him...

Manik knows how raghav is...he really don't want to argue with him now as he is very much desperate to meet Nandini...

Manik ignores him and again starts walking but raghav again comes in middle....

Manik:what do u want...

Raghav(smirking):Nandini...

Manik gets angry listening this and he held is collar...raghav was evilly laughing....

Manik:how dare u raghav....teri himmat kaisi hui yeh bolne ki...

Raghav frees himself from his grip and smirks evilly.

Raghav:meri himmat ki chod...tu teri himmat dikha...

Manik(confused):what do u mean...

Raghav:chod de Nandini ko...dur chala ja usse...aisa kuch kar jisse ki Nandini tujhse nafrat karne lage....

Manik:tujhe sachme lagta hai ki main tere kehne par Nandini ko chod dunga...mar jaunga lekin Nandini ko kabhi nahi chodunga...

Raghav:mujhe pata tha tu aisa hi kuch kahega...

He starts walking around him..

Raghav:chal...aaj main tujhe ek baat batata hu jo aaj tak maine kisiko nahi batayi...apne sage baap ko bhi nahi...

Raghav:aaj tak maine 20 ladkiyon ka rape kiya hai aur phir unhe maar kar gatar main fek diya...aur aaj tak police mujhe pakad nahi payi...pakadti bhi kaise...mujhe pakadne ke liya unke paas evidence bhi toh hona chahiye na....

Manik offcourse know this infact all are aware of this truth but can do nothing because of lack of evidences...and also because raghav is son of powerful politician...

But Manik was confused why he is telling this to him...

Manik:yeh sab tum mujhe kyun bata rahe ho...

Raghav smiles evilly....

Raghav:agar tum nahi chahte ki Nandini voh 21'th ladki ho toh jo main kehta hu voh karo...varna Nandini ke saath bhi vahi hoga jo unn baaki ladkiyon ke saath hua...

Manik gets furious that he at once hold his collar..

Neil(gritting his teeth):apni zabaan sambhal raghav...tu meri Nandini ko kuch kar nahi payega kyunki uska Manik humesha uske saath rahega...uski dhaal banke...

Raghav starts laughing like a mad man hearing this...they were at secluded corner where no one can see them but they can see everyone..also Manik was able to see Nandini from there who was getting impatient with each passing second waiting for him....

Raghav:kya kaha tune...tu har vakt uske saath rahega...lekin abhi toh tu yaha hai mere saath...aur voh bichari vaha akele tumhara wait kar rahi hai....

Manik:kehna kya chahta hai tu...

Raghav smiles and points at one direction...

Raghav:voh log dikh rahe hai tujhe jo theek nandini ke peeche khade hai...voh mere aadmi hai....aur tu agar dhyaan se dekhe toh unke haath main ek bottle bhi hai...tujhe pata hai ki voh kya hai...

Manik sees some man standing behind nandini...nandini was so much engrossed in her thoughts that she did'nt notice them...

Raghav:uss bottle main acid hai...

Manik gets shocked hearing this ...

Raghav:sirf ek ishaara...mera ek ishaara aur phir voh acid uss bottle main nahi...Nandini ke chehre(face) par hoga...

Manik gets scared listening this

Manik:nahi...tu aisa kuch nahi karega raghav....tu aisa nahi kar sakta

Raghav:main kuch bhi kar sakta hu...agar Nandini ko bachaana chahta hai toh jo maine kaha hai voh kar....

Saying this raghav leaves....Manik is in great dillemma...he loves Nandini very much more than himself...and now for her safety he have to hurt her....he calls Alya and tells her everything.....and Alya was good friend of Manik so she decided to help him....

Flashback ends

Nandini was too much shocked to react...one side she was happy that Manik still love her and on other side she was feeling guilty....

Tears rolled down her cheeks...she starts crying sitting on her knees...Manik quickly engulf her in his arms....both were crying in each others embrace....

Nandini(sobbing):I m sorry Manik...

Manik:shhh....tumhe sorry bolne ki koi zarurat nahi hai....isme tumhari koi galti nahi hai...uss raghav ko toh main jail pahuchaakar rahunga...

Nandini brokes the hug

Nandini:lekin kaise Manik...uske khilaaf toh koi evidence nahi hai humare paas...

Manik:evidence hai

Nandini:matlab?

Manik:actually maine yeh puri baat dad ko bata di thi...toh unhone kaha ki unke ek close friend police main hai toh hum unki help le sakte hai....jab humne unhe yeh sab bataya toh unhone kaha ki mujhe yeh naatak tab tak karna hoga jab tak ki raghav ke against evidence nahi mil jaate...toh aaj jab hum lecture main the...tab dad ka msg aaya tha ki hume raghav ke against proofs mil gaye hai...main bas police ke aane ka wait kar raha tha taaki raghav jaldi arrest ho jaye aur phir main tumhe sach bata saku...

Nandini:tumne yeh sab mujhe bachane ke liye kiya aur maine tumhare saath kitna rudely behave kiya...I m sorry manik...

Manik:its ok...chalo...baahar chalte hai...

Nandini nods and both goes outside and sees that police is there along with Manik's dad...

Manik hugs his dad

Manik:dad..

Raj:ab sab theek ho jayega manik...Nandini ab safe hai...

Police arrests raghav

Raghav:yeh tune accha nahi kiya Manik...tujhe main chodunga nahi..

Police takes raghav with them ..

Manik turns towards Nandini and found her already staring at him..

Manik:kya??

Nandini(smiles):I love u...

Manik:I love u too...

Saying this he captures her lips for a kiss...nandini first get shocked but then starts responding after sometime....all were surprised by this sudden stunt pulled by Manik...they were so much engrossed in that kiss that they forgot that they have audiences...all students starts clapping and whisteling...because of which they broke the kiss...Nandini was blushing very hard...and our Manik malhotra was staring at her red face...

He pulled her for a hug while all were happy for them....

Manik:I love u soo much Nandini....I can't imagine my life without u...

Nandini:I love u too Manik...apni aakhri saans tak tumse pyaar karti rahungi...
