..He gazed at the old wrinkled face who was gazing back at him with pleading eyes. His expression was blank..he had nothing to utter back of what the aged man was asking him for taking his last breathes
.." Dekho beta..mere paas jyada waqt nahi hai..naahi ushke paas mere alawa aur koi hai..mere baad ushka koi nahi hoga..ek tum hi hoh jish par mai bharosha kar sakta hu..accept my grand daughter Manik ( He mumbled panting hard while he held his hands lightly )
.." Aapko pata haina..mai khud akela hu..yeh sab rishte naate..pyaar wagera mujhe kuch samajh nahi aata..( Manik uttered blankly and he chuckled a bit staring at the blank wall )
.." Janta hu..par ishme tuhmari koi galti nahi ki tum yeshe ban gaye..naah Nandini ki galti thi ki woh weshi ban gayi..you're most disciplined and applicable student I ever had in my 85 year's of time..jitna nikkama khud koh samajhte hoh..hoh nahi..I know you better than yourself Manik..Apne Guru ki aakhri iccha puri kardo..meri poti..meri Nandini sai sadi kar loh..ushki zimmedari leh loh beta..( He mumbled taking his last breathes and closed away his eyes slowly while Manik sat there like blank statue not moving an inch )
.." Mere Dadu kaha hai..let me go..! ( She shouted breaking off all the things..she clutched her hair in irritation and thumped her feets angrily )
.." Nandu baby..shaant hoh jao..( Her care taker dared to calm her down but in vain. She pushed her away angrily and ran towards her Dadu's room only to find him lying dead on his bed. Unknown of the fact she ran beside him and started shaking her Dadu's tummy )
.." Dadu utho..wake up..it's 9 am! Jyada sote nahi..we have to do riyash haina..see I'm ready Dadu ( She said shaking his tummy but no response. She cried and cried calling him but in vain. She tilted her head and saw Manik staring at her. She frowned while he took a deep breathe and stood up ready to leave the room )
.." Manik are you sure..aree bhai tuhme kya paiso ki kami hai..kyu kar rahe hoh usshe sadi yaar..jante nahi..woh pagal hai ( Ravi..Nandini's uncle said shrugging while Manik turned and threw a sharp glare at him. He gulped his saliva and showed his teeths while his wife poked him and smiled at Manik )
.." Are..Kisne kaha Nandini pagal hai..nahi hai..bas jabse ushke Amma Appa guzar gaye tab sai dimag..tauba tauba..tum kyu bekar mai ushka bhoj uthate hoh..hum haina..dhyaan rakhenge ushka..aur ushke paiso ka ( She mumbled the last line silently which were obviously heard by Manik who rolled away his eyes in disbelief )
..They took the seven vows together in simple and plain way. It wasn't that huge and chaos one..just to perform rituals and to regarded as law fully husband and wife. Manik stared at Nandini who was blinking her big doe eyes at him. He smiled shortly and left the haveli holding her hand while for her uncle and aunt kept cursing them beneath their breathe..
.." Welcome ( Manik mumbled lowly as he opened the door of his Villa. She looked at him and then to his house. She was about to step inside when he stopped her and rushed inside and returned with ritual stuffs in his hands )
.." jyada kuch pata nahi but ab jab tum meri biwi hoh toh..anyway ish kalash koh pair maaro aur andar aao hmm..phir that red liquid..step on it and paint the floor..as you like it ( He shrugged and she nodded quickly. She kicked the kalash like foot ball and dipped her bare feets on the liquid and started painting the floor with flowers image and laughed aloud. She turned back to him who was staring at her with wide and shock eyes )
.." Are..ghoor kyu rahe hoh..tumne toh bola as you like it..( She mumbled scratching her head while he sighed and took her towards the room and asked her to change )
.." Susu aayi hai ( She said showing her little finger and he frowned hard. She made a crying look and he took her towards the washroom and closed the door pushing her inside )
.." Mani..don't close the door..dar lagta hai ( She freaked out banging the door while he sighed and opened the door turning away from her. She let out huge sighed and continued her work )
.." Ab chup chap ishe khaa loh aur soh jao ( Manik said and placed the dinner infront of her. She looked at the plain rice daal and roti and frowned hard. She threw away the plate and thumped her feets)
.." Mujhe yeh nahi khana..mujhe gobi kai parathe khane hai woh bhi thande thande dahi kai saath..yuummm ( She licked her lips while he ruffled his hair in irritation. As there were no servants during the time he had to fulfill her wish by himself after all she was his responsibility now )
.." Yeh kya hai Mani..square..triangle..so different gobi kai parathe..are yeh wala toh jal bhi gaya..kala kala haww ( Nandu exclaimed seing his gobi parathas while he wanted to hide away his face. She blinked her eyes and started munching them while he kept staring at her.)
..It was around midnight and Manik was fast asleep in his couch while Nandu was relaxed on bed when anxiety hit her hard. She started trembling hard and woke up screaming to the core
.." Amma..Appa...( She cried shouting their names while Manik woke up with jerk and rushed towards her. He tried touching her but she pushed him away )
.." Stay away..Amma Appa kaha hai..you killed them right..mai tuhmara sar phod dungi..why you killed them ( She shouted while he tried calming her down. She grabbed the vase nearby and aimed at him trembling hard )
.." Nandu calm down..dekho ( He said softly but she nodded in no and threw the vase at him resulting his arm got hit hard. He hissed in pain while she walked back glaring at him )
.." Enough ! Bola na shaant hoh jao ( He shouted and came towards her. He grabbed her arms and gave a fierce look while she gulped her saliva. She started beating but him but he tightened his grip and groaned hard and that's when she blinked her eyes and sat down sniffing lightly. He sat beside her and started ruffling her hair softly while she wrapped her arms around his waist and drifted to sleep making him sighed in relief )
..Next morning Manik came out of washroom and saw her sitting infront of dressing table. Looking decent in her red anarkali she was wearing her manglsutra..after that she took pinch of sindoor and aimed at her forehead trying to measure the accurate place. Once done she clapped in joy and stood up playing with her duppata.
.." Mani..Mani..Nandu wants to play in the park..tum leh chaloge..Dadu kehte hai..never ever go alone anywhere..duniya kaafi gandi hoti hai naa ( She said and he turned away from her and opened his closet)
.." Phir kabhi..mera office hota hai..I'm boss..boss yeshe parks mai apna time waste nahi kara karte ( He said lowly and took out his clothes while she pouted showing her tongues. He ignored and left for changing while she made a sad look and sat crossing her arms )
.." Congratulations sir..aapne sadi karli..par kuch jyada jald baazi nahi hoh gayi sir..( His manager asked while he thumped his laptop and glared at him )
.." None of you're business..jyada shauk hai in sab cheez ka then you're fired..free rahoge toh aur time milega in sub kai liye what say ( He said coldly while manager mumbled sorry and rushed out of his cabin as fast as he could )
.." Kya musibat hai..( Manik mumbled and engrossed back to his work trying to calm himself down )
..Manik returned after hectic day and saw Nandu busy watching cartoon and enjoying while he nodded in disbelief and kept his bag aside..just then a girl rushed inside and backed hugged him
.." Aww my baby..I missed you so much..you know air port sai seedha yaha aayi hu..sirf tuhmare liye ( She said wrapping her arms around his neck while he pulled her closer and pecked her lips )
.." Mani..Mani..yeh kaun hai..why are you kissing her ( Nandu's innocent voice broked his trance and he turned towards her. Reality hit him hard and he let go off her waist. He was fumbling out words while Nandu was blinking her eyes at him )
.." I'm Riya..Manik's girlfriend..we love each other..infact we live together..none of you're business girl..by the way mai puch sakti hu ki tum kaun hoh ( Riya asked crossing her arms while Nandu smiled and came near them )
.." I'm Nandini..sab mujhe Nandu kehte hai..Mani Mani is my husband aur I'm his wife..nice to meet you..par Mani Mani tumse pyaar kaise kar sakta hai..wife toh mai hu naa ( She blinked her eye's while Riya glared at Manik who was rubbing his temple by now )
.." Seriously Manik..you can't even wait..itne desperate thai marriage kai liye ki ek pagal sai sadi kar li..ohh I pity you jerk ( She mumbled pushing him away while Nandu frowned hard )
.." Dekho..mai pagal nahi hu..har koi mujhe pagal kyu bolta hai..phir agar tumne mujhe pagal kaha naa toh mai tuhmara sar phod dungi samjhi ( Nandu shouted and she made a whatever look which made her more angry. She literally pushed her away and ran outside while Manik tapped his head )
.." Nandu ruko ( He shouted and ran after her who was pacing here and there wiping her tears harshly. He caught hold of her arm but she jerk away her hand )
.." Door hatto..mai pagal nahi hu..nahi hu mai pagal ( She shouted clutching her hair while he took her in his embrace and hugged her tightly )
.." Chodo mujhe..( She mumbled but he wasn't ready to leave her easily. She sighed and rubbed her face on his chest while he caressed her back softly trying to soothe her down )
..Next morning Nandini splashed inside bath tub while Manik folded his sleeves and started rubbing her body with strawberry body wash
.." Mani..Mani..woh gandi Riya phir nahi aayegi naa..mujhe phir pagal nahi bolegi naa..nahi toh I'll punch her tightly ( She mumbled while he nodded in no and massaged her hair with shampoo while she started playing with bubbles. Once done he came out of washroom while she wrapped the towel around her body.
..She picked up her blue and green frocks and stared at them one by one. She scratched her head in confusion while Manik came with breakfast and frozed in his place for moment. He clutched the tray as he saw her drenched body welcoming his lips to suck them hard.

.." Mani Mani..dekho blue bhi acha hai..green bhi..kaunsa pehnu..help me naa ( Her voice broked his trance while he kept the tray aside and walked near her. She smiled and showed her frocks while he slowly wrapped his arms around her waist and roamed around staring at her.
.." Leave me naa..jaldi bolo which one ( She pouted and he immediately took off his hand. He pointed at green one and she happily clapped her hands. She immediately grabbed her towel knot and was ready to pull off when Manik turned away from her controlling his desires. Without turning back he rushed out of room and palmed his face
.." Manik..relax..tu ushka fayda uthane wala thaa..how stupid of how..ushe toh pata bhi nahi hoga ( He mumbled and ruffled his hair angrily taking deep breathes )
..Nandu stared out of window and saw people roaming here and there..kids playing on their..how she wish to join and play with them..she bit her lips and grabbed her hoddie and cap..she picked her teddy bear and peeped out of villa door..
.." Are..raat hone wali hai..Dadu says..raat mai akele nahi jana chahiye..par khelna bhi toh hai ( She whispered and then rushed out of villa. She ran towards park and started playing here and there. Suddenly she realized it was too dark by now and she has to return home. She made her way back but unfortunately she forgot her way out )
.." Haww..ab mai ghar kaise jaungi ( She muttered and started pacing here and there. She didn't knew what move she should take next. Atlast she started crying badly and started walking in random direction wiping her tears harshly. She saw a telephone booth nearby and rushed towards it )
.." Uncle..Mani Mani koh phone kardo naa..mai khoh gayi ( She mumbled and the owner looked at her from head to toe. She thumped her feets and grabbed the telephone by herself )
.." 9..8..1..3..1 ( She tried remembering the number and dialled scratching her head. To her luck the ring went and her Mani Mani received the call after three rings )
.." Helo..Mani Mani..I'm lost..mujhe bahut dar lag raha hai..where are you ( She said and there was complete silence from other side..she checked the phone and then waited for his response )
.." Wait there only..heelna mat..I'm coming ( Saying this he disconnect the call and she happily placed the phone back waiting out for her husband )
.." Last time bol raha hu tuhme..dimag mai bharlo apna..without me..tum kahi nahi jane wali..agar gayi toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga ( He mumbled angrily while she stood with low head and holding her ears )
..Nandu gasped in excitement as she saw herself drapped in blood red saree. She twirled around looking herself in mirror and clapped her hands in excitement
.." Dai maa..aaj kya hai aapne mujhe yeh pehnaya..aur aapne kyu nahi pehna ( She asked while her dai maa laughed and started making her hair )
.." Aaj karwa chauth hai..mere pati koh mare hue toh 12 saal hoh gaye..tera pati toh haina..toh ushke liye aaj tujhe saj sawarke bhagwan ki puja karni hai aur vrath bhi rakhna hai..isse tera pati lamba jeeyega ( She exclaimed and Nandu blinked her eyes at her )
.." Matlab woh Amma Appa aur Dadu ki tarah mujhe chodke nahi jayega naa..he will be always with me ( she asked and dai maa smiled nodding at her )
..It was late evening by now..and Nandu was starving like anything..she wanted to stuff as much food as possible but for her Mani Mani's sake she could starve for forever also. Evening turned out in night but her Mani Mani made no appearance.
..At late night Manik returned with tired face. He loosened his tie and ruffled his hair. He walked and frowned as he saw her sleeping in stair..
.." Nandu..( He tapped her cheeks and she woke up rubbing her eyes. She gave a wide smile and he saw the floor wet as she had done it there only
.." Mani Mani..tum kaha thai..pata hai bhook kai mare I'm so tired..why so late..tuhme malum nahi thaa..aaj karwa something something hai ( She said and Manik palmed his head as he had forgotten about it )
.." Nandu what's this..tumne yahi susu kar diya..bad manners ( He scolded and she sniffed )
.." No..woh washroom ka light kharab thaa naa toh..andhere mai dar lagta hai..I waited for you..phone bhi kiya but busy busy..busy ( She pouted and he mumbled sorry holding her amrs )
.." Kya kaha thaa Dai maa nai..haa ( Nandu exclaimed and started perfoming the rituals once they were in balcony and she was back in her peach frock. She care fully followed the steps trying to rememberring them..
.." Kyu kar rahi hoh yeh sab..it's not compulsory..wese bhi I don't believe in all this nonsense ( Manik muttered and she blinked her eyes at him )
.." Taaki tum mujhe chodke nah jao..Dai maa nai bola..If I'll do this..you'll live for long..then tum hamesha..hamesha mere saath rahoge ( She exclaimed and clapped her hands in joy )
.." Itni care karti hoh meri..why so care ( He asked and she bit her lips )
.." Because you're my husband..aur saadi kai time pandit uncle nai bola thaa naa..husband and wife pyaar aur care share karte hai..so I'm giving you my love..mai tuhme apna pura dil deh rahi hu..and I promise I'll always love you like this..Nandu promise ( She exclaimed and hopped into his arms while he sighed and hugged her back smiling shortly )
.." Aur log kehte hai tum pagal hoh..pathetic..I don't know how and why I'm saying this but yeah I feel pity on them joh tuhme pagal samajhte hai..for me you're very special to me Nandu..and I'll also try to return you with equal love and care ( He mumbled and stroked her hair taking a deep breathe )
.." What the..deal cancel hoh gaya ?! ( Manik freaked out and thumped his phone hard. He ruffled his hair in irritation and now his bad mood was going to be on
.." Mani Mani..you promised naa tum mujhe park lekar jaoge then ( She complaint him who was ready for his usual office )
.." I said naa tuhmare faaltu kai kaam liye I don't have times..( He muttered angrily and she pushed him away frowing hard )
.." Gande Mani Mani..Dadu sai acha koi nahi hota..mai bhaag jaungi Dadu kai paas samnjhe ( She shouted while he made a furious look and shouted back )
.." Yeah..jaha bhaagna hai..bhaag jao..peecha toh chutega tumse..musibat kai alawa aur kuch nahi hoh tum..tuhmare wajah sai sab gadbad hoh gaya..you're such a mess of my life ( He shouted and left while she made a crying face and thumped her feet )
..Manik searched the whole Villa once he was back but he found her no where. He got panicked as if what really she might had left that too alone..
.." Nandu! Nandu! Dekho I'm sorry..hum pakka kal park chalenge ok..now come out ( He called but no response. He grabbed his car Keyes and rushed out in search of her )
.." Nandu toh nahi aayi yaha..are ushe toh address tak nahi pata yaha kaa..hey bhagwan kaha gayi hogi yeh ladki ( uncle said palming his mouth while aunty made faces at him )
.." Are bhai..pehle hi bola thaa..Pagal ladki hai..sambhal naa mushkil hota hai..pehle bol dete ki nahi utha sakte ushki zimmedari..hum thai lekin nahi..ab bhukto..Dadu maaf nahi karenge tuhme haa ( She said while Manik made a whatever look and rushed out making them giggle at his state)
..After searching a lot he couldn't find her. With heavy face and heart he came back to Villa and thumped on sofa. He palmed his eyes and sniffed lightly..
.." Mani Mani..tum aa gaye..kaha thai itni der sai..pata hai I was scared ( Suddenly he heard her soft voice. He shot up his head with jerk and saw her blinking at him in sleepy state rubbing her eyes. He took a deep breathe and glared at her )
.." Kaha thi tum! Pata hai kitna dhoonda..bulaya bhi..where were you! ( He shouted making her hell scared and breaking her sleep )
.." Woh..room mai koi bhi nahi thaa..light bhi chali gayi..aur andhere mai bhoot aate haina ishliye mai bed kai neeche chup gayi aur pata nahi kab soh gayi..mujhe bahut dar lagta hai bhoot sai..Dadu kehte hai joh log ladai jhagda karte hai unhe bhoot khaa jate hai..mai subah tumse ladi thi naa toh bhoot mujhe bhi khaa jata aur ( She was blabbering when he rushed and engulfed her in his strong arms)
" Ssh..sorry..I'm sorry..mujhe yeshe behave nahi karna chahiye thaa..I thought tum sachme chali gayi mujhe chod kar ( He mumbled and she wrapped her tiny arms around him while he sighed in relief )
.." Amma..Appa! ( She again shouted and trembled waking up in mid while he sat back on his couch and palmed his head. He stood up and walked towards her taking her in his arms )
.." Leave me..hatto..Amma Appa kaha hai ( She complaint while he cupped her face and stroked them gently humming a song. She blinked her eyes blankly and placed her head on his chest while he gently planted a kiss on her head )
.." Mani Mani..Sleep here only..mujhe dar lagta..what if Amma Appa ki tarah ushne mujhe bhi maar diya toh..( She whispered and he nodded lying back while she snuggled closed him and slowly drifted to sleep. He kept on stroking her hair )
.." Hmm..yeshe cases maine kaafi dekhe aur handle bhi kiye hai Mr.Malhotra..ushne apne parents koh marte hue dekha hai..ushe lagta hai koi killer hai joh ushke peeche pada hai jisne usshe sab kuch cheen liya..trauma chad gaya hai..yeshe insan koh pagal kehna..koi idiot hi hoga ( Aditi..the counsellor said in her ever gentle voice while he frowned )
.." Haa but..kya woh zindagi bhar yeshi hi rahegi...isn't there a chance woh theek hoh paye..ek normal life zee paye ( He asked looking at Nandu who was playing the dolls gifted by him )
.." Chances hai..ushe bas dhair sara pyaar aur care doh..ghussa toh bhool sai mat karna..she's very delicate Manik..yaa phir ( She spoked while he was waiting for her to speak )
.." Yaa phir claim her..mentally aur physically ushke kareeb hoh jao..make her believe ki haa koi hai..infact ushka husband hai ushke saath..ushe darne yaa ghabrane ki zaroorat nahi hai..in sab koh bhool kar woh normal life zee sakti hai ( She shrugged and Manik frozed at his place )
.." How..how can..I matlab yeh toh like ushka faayda uthane jaisa hua..come on I can't do that..ushe toh pata bhi hoga ( He fumbled and earned a chuckle from Aditi )
.." I know..but tum ushke husband hoh..ajnabi toh nahi hoh naa..love her as you could..trust me you'll not regret after this..( She said and Manik nodded hesitantly )
..It had been 3 weeks since the meet and yet Manik didn't had the courage to claim his wife..he was scared what if anything goes wrong..he wasn't ready yet. But instead he had showered all his love and care on her..they had been totally dependent on each other. He had started growing a possessive feelings towards her..
.." Mani Mani..yeh new dress toh bahut pretty hai..par kislye..mera wish you happy birthday toh nahi hai..tuhmara hai kya ( She asked staring at the royal red gown which he had specially bought for her .." Mere office ka wish you happy birthday hai..umm 50 years..( He said raising his eyebrows while she palmed her face in bit shock )
.." Itna buddha hoh gaya..anyway..Thank you for the gift Mani Mani ( She exclaimed and he pulled her cheeks softly )
..After the cake cutting session Manik was busy chatting while Nandu was all time hiding behind him as all new faces were scaring the hell out of her. She snuggled close to him clutching his hand tight while he gently wrapped his arms around her and kept on chatting with his partners
..By now Nandu was fuming in anger as she saw him busy with others rather than her. He wasn't paying a least attention towards her. She frowned as she saw him hugging a random girl and fumed in anger..
.." Door hatto..Mani Mani sai ( She shouted and pushed her away with full force making her collapsed on floor hard. Manik gasped and went to pick her up )
.." Nandu..what's this! Yeshe koi behave karta hai..say sorry! ( He shouted and she turned away her face thumping her feet hard. He threw sharp glare and now she was on urge of crying
.." Why nobody loves me..sab ghussa hi karte..are maine kaha na mai pagal nahi hu..toh kyu sab mujhe avoid karte hoh ( She cried while Manik sighed seing her. He tried touching her but she pushed him away and wiped her tears harshly running away from him )
.." Not again ( He mumbled and ran behind her who was already beyond his reach. He called out for her but in vain
.." Mani Mani..Nandu is katti with..( With that her scream echoed around as she got hit hard by a car. Manik frozed at his place for a moment and then rushed towards her.
..He kept on stroking her head who was sleeping on hospital ward. Fortunately the accident wasn't a major one..only her forehead needed a stitch
.." Samajh nahi aata kyu karti hoh tum yesha..( He mumbled holding her hand and kissing it softly )
.." Kyuki woh tumse bahut pyaar karti hai aur tuhme khona toh bilkul nahi chahti ( Aditi spoked from behind  while without turning back he kept on stroking her head )
.." Manik she loves you..she is dependent on you..most importantly she trusts you..which is why she why she is afraid of losing you..log sayad ishe over possessive kahe but from her view it's nothing but her love ( Aditi continued staring at Nandini while he rested his head on bed and placed her hand near him ) .." Give her time..space woh apne aap sambhal jayegi..ushe pata nahi ki woh tumnse kitna pyaar karti hai..par karti toh hai..aur tumse bhi kaafi kuch expect karti hai..don't disappoint her..warna case aur bigad sakta hai..pehle sai itna toot gayi hai..tumse agar kuch gadbad hoh gayi toh woh aur sehan na kar paye ( Aditi spoked and left while Manik kept on stroking Nandini's head not even blinking his eyes )
.." Eww.. Mani Mani..this is so ganda..mujhe nahi khana ( She pouted looking at the plain soup while Manik sighed looking at her )
.." Kisne kaha thaa ghusss hokar nikalne koh..ab bhukto..no gobi kai parathe samjhi ( He scolded while she made a puppy face and finding no other option started drinking soup from his hand )
..It was after a week when Nandu had got discharged from hospital. It was off day and they were sitting on park cuddling to each other
.." Mani Mani..Dadu taught you how to sing right..toh phir sing a song for me naa ( She pleaded while he shrugged looking at her. He knelt before her and placed his head on her lap )
.." Hum..Dil deh Chuke Sanam..

Teri Kasam..( He started singing gazing at her and making her blush. He lyed his head on her lap and closed his eyes while she ruffled his hair lovingly )

..Time started moving slowly and Nandini was happily living with Manik and while for him..slowly he was falling for her..she was becoming his everything..though the world had another view for them but for him nothing mattered but Nandini mattered. The responsibility had changed into love and love had into life..true they say..love has no bar..it just happens..normal or abnormal..everyone..everything has right to be loved..
.." Dekho Manik beta madad karne wale koh bhi madad ki zaroorat hoti haina..kab tak sambhal paoge ushe..Nandu koh hame sop doh..hum haina ( Uncle showed his teeths while Manik smirked at them )
.." Ohh really..mama ji don't worry..ab mai Nandu sai bahut pyaar karta hu..sambhal lunga..apko agar kuch aur chahiye toh bol diziye or else Villa ka gate khula hai hmm ( He smiled and left while Mama ji made a whatever look and his wife frowned in anger )
.." Huh..Aaya bada pyaar karne wala..kal Nandu ka jamn din haina..ruko duniya kai aage ish pagal koh aur pagal saabit nah kiya na toh naam badal dena huh ( She said and left dragging her stupid husband away )
