..The mandap was all ready..the hall was filled with people's of high profiled gossiping with each other. The groom looking no less than a greek god in his blood red and creamy sherwani was impatiently waiting for his bride.
.." Kanya koh bulwaye( The priest announced and finally he smiled in relief to see after so much of waiting of him. Taking her tiny steps the bride in her blood red heavy lehenga with matching jewellery with her lashes down came downstairs with support of her friend Navya. )
..She frozed on her place as she saw peole staring at her with a blank face on them. Tears welled up in her eyes and tightened her grips around Navya
.." Mai nahi..kar sakti..yeh sab..( She whispered and stared at her Manik who was lovingly waiting out for her. She was Nandini who had dream of becoming a bride but didn't had courage to ful fill it as her fate was never with her )
.." Karamzali..kya zaroorat thi..apna chehra lekar neeche aane ki ( Her Maasi shouted and muttered curse on her while she mumbled sorry softly to her )
.." Maasi..bhook lagi thi..toh ( She whispered and Maasi pushed away with huge force due to which she collapsed on floor )
.." Bhook hi lagi thi naa..mar toh nahi rahi thi..are itna acha rishta aaya thaa..NRI..dar kai bhaag gaye..teri wajah sai..( She shouted and Nandu gently wiped her tears and stood up covering her half face )
.." Haye..kya hoga meri Preeti kaa..ab khadi kya hai yaha..jaa upar..aur bhool jaa khane tu aaj..samjhi ( She said and left while Nandini gently nodded and headed towards her room..which was the store room in such a huge mansion )
..Locking the door behind her she went and sat on her old shattered bed and stared at the mirror kept beside..she picked it up and saw her reflection
..Milky white skin but with filled with burned spots on complete left side face..starting from her soft cheecks to neck. She threwd away the mirror and cried hugging her knees. She couldn't do nothing but cursed her fate. Cursed the time when she was left alive in that accident. That accident which had left the mark of ugly ness for her lifetime
.." Maasi..open the door..bhook lagi hai..please ( She shouted thumping the door but her cruel Maasi was deaf to hear her pleads and herself stuffing like a hungry buffalo with her daughters )
.." Oho..mumma deh doh naa khaane koh..warna raat bhar rote rahegi aur mera beauty sleep kharab kar degi..huh..( Preeti said and Sweety..her sister nodded in agreement. The twin sisters born one after other got no similar face but similar brain which had no capacity to think and work like mature. The fatty sisters were always jealous of their cousins beautiful petite and dark long hair and always leaved no chance to mock her)
..Nandini eat the meal quietly yet fastly which her Maasi had gave that too after hour's of plead. She wiped her tears and took morshel after one another
.." Thusna hoh gaya hoh toh..bahar bartan pade hai..dho deh samjhi ( Preety said and went to take her so called beauty sleep while Nandini went out and knotted her duppata in waist and started washing out the plenty dishes left by her siblings and Maasi )
.." Ouch! Aaram sai kar bevakuf ( Sweety muttered as Nandini was making her hair. Once done she turned to Preety and started doing her make up gently. Her whole day passed like this. Make overing her sister's though it was of no use. Doing every household things from cleaning to cooking. Without uttering a single word she used to finish her every work..the thing she could only utter were sorry..ok and done. In this process she never got time for herself. Thinking about herself..about her future life..her career..her dream nothing. She was just living on with her not so fortunate life )
.." Navya..what's this..ishka mai kya karu ( She said staring at set of bangles which Navya had bought specially for her )
.." Kya kare matlab..hatho mai pehno aur gao..mere hatho mai nau nau choodiya hai..thoda thehro..( She was singing when Nandini threwd a sharp glare on her. She pouted and hugged her tightly )
.." Jante hai..tuhme yeh sab pasand nahi..par hamare..rakhlo yaar..tuhme bhi haq hai..sajne sawarne ka..sundar dikhne ka..dikhne ka kya matlab..tum hoh hi..kafi sundar ( She winked at her and Nandini gave a weak smile to her. She unwrapped the plastic and slided them her both hands and let out a rythemic sound through it)
.." Kya fayda..in sab ka..wese bhi Maasi nai dekh liya naa..toh haath tod degi mera..unko pasand nahi mera sajna sawarna ( She said biting her lips and suppressing her tears while Navya wrapped her arms around her)
.." Hamara bas chale toh tuhmare Maasi koh hum khud nah tod deh..aur tuhmari behne..uff..( She said and burst out in laugh while Nandu smiled shortly at her )
.." Not again ! Stop this saadi and all..or else I'm gonna run out of here ( Manik shouted as he landed on sofa and grabbed his guiter. His dad..gave a mischievous smirk at him and he made a what look )
.." Tuhme kya lagta hai..woh ladki tuhme milegi bhi..do you even know..she exist or not ( He asked with his all time soft and calm voice while Manik thumped his guitar and smiled at him)
.." Milegi..ish duniya kai kisi kone mai..zaroor milegi..aur jinhe milna hota hai..woh zaroor milte hai..ish janam mai..yaa ush janam mai zaroor( He whispered with carrying a passion in his dark chocolaty eyes while his dad nodded in disbelief )
.." Nautanki..joh ladki ka naam..sakal kuch pata nahi..milegi and all..by the way dear son..kindly pack you're bags..we're heading to India tomorrow ( He announced raising his chin and headed towards the dining while Manik followed with a horrible face )
.." India..what's this..where it is huh..mai nahi janta kisi India koh..aunt Maria..do you know ? ( He asked his all time loving care taker who pulled his cheecks and served dinner for him )
.." Manik Baba..ish baar nahi bachoge..India sai apni sundar sushil aur pyaari dulhan kai saath hi wapas aana..bade sahab nai man bana liya hai bahu lane kai liye ( She said and ruffled his hair while Manik showed his tongue to them hell pissed off )
.." And they..happily lived ever after..( Nandu read the last line of a fairy tale and smiled to the fullest. She hugged the book and kept below her old pillow. How she wished her life to be like a fairy tale. Where a prince would come in white horse and take her away with him and they would also lived happily ever after. But her face would always remind her that..her dream will always remain a dream only..better she would stop dreaming only )

What..what..what is it yaar..I still can't believe..hum India jaa rahe hai..like really India..dude..imagine..no party..no hot chicks..no freedom ( Manik was cursing out like mad while Cabir was staring at him nodding in agreement. He was blabbering pacing here and there in his room of their private jet while Cabir was just nodding munching the chips )
.." Manik..kya pata..tujhe..woh mil jaye ( Finally Cabir spoked and Manik turned to him shutting his blabbers. He stared at him blankly who shrugged at him casually )
.." Abe..tujhe sachme lagta hai..mai koi woh ka intezaar kar raha hu..Dad koh mere sadi kai dream sai door rakhne kai liye 'WOH' paida kiya thaa stupid ( He slapped his head and Cabir made a ouch face glaring at him)
.." God knows..kya pata tujhe sachme..woh mil jaye..you know..teri dulhan ( Cabir teased and Manik was ready to punch him black and blue till he let outs his last breathe )
.." Sun Nandini..kal hame party attend karni hai..suna hai bade bade log aa rahe hai..pure Shimla kai logo bulaya hai..khabar daar joh apni gandi sakal leke waha pahuchi toh ( Maasi warned while Nandu lightly nodded in yes. As she left Navya jumped through the Window and Nandu immediately closed the door with scared face
.." Navya..tu marwayegi ek din yaar..kyu aayi tu idhar..( She asked with panic voice and Navya hopped into bed and took out tiffin from bag and placed beside her )
.." Jante hai..un rakxaso nai aaj bhi khana nahi diya hoga tuhme..chup chap khalo warna jabarjasti thus denge tuhmare andar..( She warned and Nandu smiled shortly. She sat beside her and started eating the meal while Navya smirked at her
.." Tu pagal hai..abhi abhi..Maasi nai mana kiya thaa party kai liye aur tum ushi party mai jane ki baat kar rahi hoh..no Navya..please ( She pleaded and Navya glared at her with lioness look )
.." Are baba..Catering ka order hamare yaha sai hi hai..hum akele sab kaise karenge..tuhme hamari madad karni hogi..hamari dosti ki kasam hai tuhme ( Navya said and Nandu gulped her saliva..she was trapped from both side. She some how nodded hesitantly and Navya hugged her tightly )
.." Manik..thoda smile toh kar..yeh kya devdas wala look bana rakha hai..dekh udhar..ladkiyo ka group..sabki nazar hum par hi hai ( Cabir said adjusting his coller while Manik rolled away his eyes. He looked at the girls ogling over him and smirked hard. But neither of them was holding the capability to attack his heart and make him fall on his knees for her )
.." Manik..aaj tuhme Alya sai milna hai..mere colleague ki beti..smart..gorgeous and absolutely suited for you hmm ( His father said and Manik nodded in disbelief. He thumped his feet and left from there making the girls hung their face in sad ness )
..He got freezed on his place as he saw a glimpse of girl standing in rain with her hands spreaded around. As it was pitch black he was finding it difficult to take glimpse of her face. The only thing he could see was a beautiful petite figure now dancing in the rain. Her soft gighles and laugh were soothing his ears softly. With blank expression..he moved towards her and unknown of his presence..she kept on dancing forgetting all her pain and sorrows which she was carrying with her face.
.." Beautiful..( Manik whispered and Nandini frozed at her place with wide eyes. She immediately covered her face with her duppata and he came out of his trance
.." Are..ruk kyu gayi..you're were dancing so beautifully ( He said trying to glance at her while she looked here and there and adjusted her clothes a bit )
.." Dekho..tum jao yaha sai..warna mai jaa rahi hu ( She said and moved to leave when caught hold of her hands and pulled her a bit closer to him )
.." Itne sundar dancer ka chehra bhi utna hi sundar hoga sayad..chehra toh dikhao apna ( He said and tears welled up in her eyes hearing this. She pulled away her hands from him )
.." Mera chehra dekhoge toh dar jaoge tum..( She mumbled and left while he made a confused look staring at her )
.." Naam toh bata jao apna ( He shouted but she didn't responded nor she turned back to him. He ruffled his hair biting his lips and turned to find Navya shooting a glare at him )
..Manik opened the diary of Nandini which Navya had handed to him as he was curious to know about Nandini.
.." Wese dikhne mai mawali toh nahi lagte tum..agar itna hi janna hai Nandini kai bare mai toh yeh loh..Chitra dekhne sai pehle ushka charitra janlo ushka toh acha rahega( Saying this she had handed the diary to him )
..Dear Diary..aaj phir Maasi nai mujhe kaafi daata..mara peeta..( He was already in tears by now reading the first few phases of her life. He couldn't believe nor imagine that anyone could suffer this much in her life and didn't complain nor share her feelings to anyone..if there was some one with Navya was her Diary..)
.." Ek ladki jyada sai jyada apne liye kya mangegi..joh bhi mange sabse pehle woh apne liye nahi apno kai liye mangti hai ( He smiled reading the line and continued reading the other phases of her life )
.." Har ladki ki tarah..meri bas ek hi wish thi..apne dreams pure karna aur apne sapno kai prince kai saath saadi karna ( He chuckled reading this and placed the diary near his heart )
.." I don't know yaar..sabko saadi ka itna bhoot kyu chada hai..this girl is totally nuts..anyway aur kya pagalo walo cheez likhi hai dekhu ( He mumbled and continued reading the diary with horrible face)
.." Marriage is a most important and precious phase of life. Ek ladki tabhi complete hoti hai..jab woh pehli baar dulhan ki kapdo mai saz sawarti hai. The feelings are beyond words. Mera bhi sapna thaa..ek din kisi ki dulhan banke ushke liye saz sawar kai baithu ( He thumped the diary again to his heart and made a confused look )
.." Is she mad..har cheez mai thaa and all kyu lagati hai as if dinosaur ki tarah extinct honi wali hai..come on she can do all this..dulhan banna and all..huh ( He said and again started reading the diary )
.." Sadi kai baad..woh ladki kaafi special feel karti hai..kyuki koi hota hai..ushe protect karne kai liye..pyaar karne karne kai liye..jiske ghar mai woh apni nayi duniya shuru kar payegi..ush ghar koh woh apne pyaar sai bharegi..par afsoosh mai sayad kabhi yeh sab kar na pau..( He groaned in anger reading the last line but then also continued reading it )
.." Jab woh pehli baar ek nayi nanhi jaan  apne andar mehsoos karti hai..trust me..the feeling of it something is that every mother carves for. Woh nanhi jaan ushki nayi zindagi banti hai..zimmedari banti hai..ek maa hone ka ehsaas dilati hai..Maa aur papa..dono ki bond strong ban jati hai..ek nayi duniya koh woh ek saath swagat karte hai..aur zindagi ka naya adhaaye shuru hoh jata hai..par afsoosh..woh adhyaaye mere life mai kabhi nahi aayega ( Manik was over whelmed by now. Tears started making their way through his eyes )
.." Phir woh log..ush nanhi jaan koh bada hote hue dekh pana..ek saath buddha buddhi hona..rishta dheere dheere kafi mazboot hoh jata hai.( He smiled shortly as he read out this line. He stood up and went near the window )
.." Sadi ka matlab sirf yeh nahi bas ek din liye saz liye aur saat phere leh liye..Sadi zindagi bhar ka saath hota hai..ek lamba safar hota hai..joh woh dono ek saath tae karte hai..aur ek saath khatam karte hai..And they lived happily ever after..sirf naam kai liye nahi bane yeh sabd..( He sighen in bliss reading out her views..her thoughts..they were simple and lovable dream of hers which had been neglecting all the time )
.." That's all I wish..sorry wished. I wished to wait for a prince..I wished to become his bride..I wished to start new world with him..I wished to grant him to be a daddy..I wished us to grow old together..I wished us to happily live ever after..but in vain..mere ish chehre nai sabkuch khatam kar diya..sab kuch ( He took a deep breathe and closed the diary palming his face )
..Manik stared at his beautiful bride who was frozed in her place due to her hidden fear..due to her face on which people always judged her. After reading her diary he had followed her for almost seven days. He didn't got scared by looking at her face as predicted by her instead he had fallen in deep love to the innocent face and heart which was hidden deep inside the mark of her burned skin. True to Navya who adviced him to look before her inner beautiful face rather than her upper ugly masked one.
..For the first time had knelt before a girl and proposed her to his bride. Before Nandini was scared of the fact that Manik's status would get embarrassed due to her but on Manik's view..who the hell cared.
.." Pehchante hi nahi..ab log tanha mujhe..meri nighoh mai bhi hai woh tujhe dhunteh..( Suddenly he got up singing and went towards her while she looked at him blankly )
.." Hum thai dhoonteh jaise..woh kami ban gaye..Tum meri ishq ki..sar zameen ban gaye..( He sang and took her towards the mandap with him and Priest started chanting the mantra's for the new beginning of their life )
.." Haa hasi ban gaye..haa nami ban gaye..tum mere aashman..meri zamin ban gaye..oohho..aahaa..dere naa..( He sang until they finished their seven vows and completed the process of marriage which Nandini dreamed of)
.." I'm sorry Nandini..( He said and she made a confused look. He smirked and immediately kissed her like a mad person while she widened her eyes in shock. All were giggling over them but Manik was lost in his own..kissing her passionately..lovingly with all respect he could hold)
.." Tum..pagal hoh ( Nandini whispered as they broked the kiss while Manik carried her in his arms making her gasped hard )
.." Dad..sadi hoh gayi..mujhe meri dulhan mil gayi..sundar..shusil aur pyaari..sirf surat sai nahi..balki..sirat aur dil sai..( He said and started walking still carrying her while she cried happily seing him)
.." Come on Dad..Cabir..Aunt Maria is waiting for me and my Dulhan..whohho (He exclaimed and they smiled nodding in disbelief. Alya Saxena whom Manik was going to married was all happy with her boyfriend Dhruv)
.." Guess what Dhruv..I got new story for my book..A burned bride ( She exclaimed and hugged him tightly and for Maasi and preety..sweety they had to take all burden and live like a life of hell which they had wished for Nandini but got the taste of their own medicine
..Pheww...I know its a complete fairy tale..but in my phenomenon fairy tales do exist..we just have to keep faith..and about beauty it will fade away with time but the love you hold is unfadable like of Manik and Nandini..who lived happily ever after
