I want to meet Twinkle. Is the first thing came out of Manik's mouth, when he got his conscious back after one complete day of the incident. He really didn't care, that he was is worst condition hours before or he went through worst to save his daughter or his brother or the fact he had been in operation theatre for hours struggling through his wounds, which hurt him like a bitch. He wanted nothing but his wife. That's all. He can go through any demons or worst to get to see her at the moment.

Kira nodded her head for him, who gathered the courage to enter ICU when the doctors announced they can meet him. Though everyone breathed a relief that Manik was fine. But none couldn't have the courage to see him like that, all hurt and struggling. 

Are you fine doc? Kira had tears in her eyes seeing him like this, where he slept on his stomach for not hurt himself more. There were many stitches and wounds, which needed to be healed.

I'm fine Kira. Please stop crying. Manik had closed his eyes, he was really not fine. His wounds were hurting like anything. But he really didn't want Kira to know his pain. She is very sensitive and not forget, her love for him. He knows it too well, but he kept a safe distance from her not giving any signals to hurt more. Where she knows her limit better than any. Nandini adjusted herself on a stool, while Manik looked her with teary eyes. She kissed his forehead holding his hands in her little hands, which fitted perfectly with each other.

How are you? She adjusted her head on the pillow near to his face, where he inhaled her scent to make sure, he made it for her. Only for her.

I'm fine. He answered her calmly where a tear slipped from his eyes. 

Does it hurt? She looked at his back which was covered with white bandages.

Yup. It's hurting like a bitch. He really didn't mind telling her truth. He always told truth to her no matter how hard for her to accept. He never kept her in dark expect the fact he loved her dearly. He never voiced out what she was to him. And he regrets his mistake more than anything in the world.

Should I kiss and heal my love? Nandini questioned him innocently. Which made him finally smile at her genuinely. And Twinkle is back. The innocent lover girl of his is back. Who made any attempt to show or shower her love to him. To his hopelessly in love with that girl for that.

He looked her face closely there was no sign of wounds or something. But her face lost its shine. Her eyes were twinkling but he could see the fear in her eyes. 

Papa. She broke his trance, while she sat on Nandini's lap. Where Nandini was shocked to hear this. Last time she checked her daughter was calling them by names, does that mean she knows what's happening and who are her parents? Nandini was confused at the same time she was shocked and ashamed of herself.

Yes, Papa ki Jaan. Manik caressed her cheeks, which usually filled with red color. But today it looked paler.

Are you fine? Patha hai I waited for you so long. Ruhi complained him, Manik eyes teared hearing that.

Where Nandini was amused hearing Ruhi, who didn't talk a word from the time she had got conscious until now. She didn't like it to see him like this. She slowly touched it making Manik stiff his whole body. It was hurting him but didn't dare to show on his face, though he stiffened his jaw to hold on the pain he was getting. It was too much for him.

Vaise why she is in hospital dress? Wait! How the hell she went to office without we both knew in the first place? Manik finally threw the bomb on Nandini. She was ashamed for trusting the wrong person again and again. Wait! Did Manik recognize her with Twinkle name, which meant he knew it, he knew it about her?

Neyonika made Manik drink some soup with help of both Nandini and Suyyash, who supported him to sit, which was possibly painful for him. But he didn't show them, though everyone was aware of his struggle in his eyes and jaw which was tightening often due to pain. It was really painful. But somehow he completed with his medicines.

So, you may go home tomorrow, if you promise to take care of yourself. And let others do the same for you. Daan finished mini speech as he was helped by the nurse to change his bandage. Manik groaned in the pain. His eyes welled, it was getting unbearable to him. 

Finally. Manik mumbled when nurse wrapped the bandage. He yelped in pain but Daan handled him in a better way by giving him seductive for the heavy sleep.

Manik!! Nandini called him softly from the door. Manik turned his head towards her. Seeing her moist eyes, he  really couldn't act cold on her. He forwarded his hand indicating her to hold them as if waiting for his this gesture she took long steps to reach him. He made some space for her as he made her sit on the bed near to him.

What happened? Manik tightened his hands around her tiny shivering hands. He could see nervousness and tears in her eyes. He turned to Lisa for answers, but instead, she walked out with Daan and nurse. 

I'm pregnant. Nandini announced him with tears flowing in her eyes, she avoided looking at him, as she showed him a new set of pregnancy kit, which indicated two lines again.

For Manik, it was unfathomable emotions. He didn't have control over it. He peeked a look at Nandini, who was already looking at him. Though they were aware of the news. But still, happiness lingered in their eyes. At the same time, fear was also floating in that delicate eyes of theirs. They are still not over with the past pregnancy incident in their life. It was just embarked on their mind and soul. And they have no way to get ride of it. That scared them for this pregnancy.

How many weeks? Manik rubbed his thumb in a circular motion to sooth Nandini's inner turmoil. Where she was hiccuping with tears looking at him. It was too much overwhelming to her. First pregnancy news, Ruhi's and Manik's fire accident, her mother's evil eye on them, her father's disappointment, Neyonika's outburst, which she absolutely deserved and lastly Manik's cold behavior. Everything was breaking her inside. She was afraid to lose them for her doings. She hated herself.

Three weeks. Nandini mumbled herself. he kissed her tummy raising himself, though it was paining his back, it was worth it. Nandini immediately took the sue held him securely, she didn't want more hurt for him. She can't stand at the thought of him getting hurt physically. And here, his whole back was hurt, it was an unexplainable pain of her. She hated to see him hurt. She just wants to get more hurt to see him like this. As a punishment. Perhaps, she was dealing more than him. Was the ultimate truth of the hour.

How are you? Nandini settled herself on the bed properly, she shifted his head on her lap, started caressing his hairs lovingly, when she saw his closing eyes. She didn't answer him, how she is going to say, what she is feeling. Something's couldn't be explained and she don't want lie him about the same. what she was feeling is just for her. She lovingly kissed his hairs. When he went into deep slumber.

Malhotra's never knew the importance of doctor's or their profession until these worst disaster. They never thanked any doctor than today. They knew what Manik was today. They knew why he chose his profession. Why Manik was so loved by his every patient.

They got it. 

When doctors came and said 'Manik was out of danger' after several hours of operation and observations, for Malhotra couple, doctors were the God. They regretted every bit of curse they had put on them. The whole mankind was so grateful to have human God in between them as 'Doctor', who saves thousands of people without thinking time or food, their main purpose of life was to save a life, even if it was their enemy, such was their profession. That Manik. They were never proud of his profession. But today their proudness was limitless. They realized, Manik indeed was a soft and humble soul who is just made up for this profession. Not for business.

Suyyash now want to release Manik, from every burden of business. Let him do whatever he wishes. He finally realised not to cage Manik in business the world. And for sure he is going to apologise for him.

Manik slowly opened his eyes due constant nagging on his body. But when he saw Ruhi sleeping beside him crying in her sleep. He woke in jerk only to scream in pain. He couldn't really get up. Even if he wanted to. He cursed his condition.

Ruhi, princess. Manik extended his hand towards her. He patted her cheeks to wake her up. But in vain, she was just crying beside him. He felt helpless.

Manik kya hua?? Nandini opened their bedroom door in their penthouse. When she saw Ruhi state, she came running to them.

She smoothly picked Ruhi in her arms. Started waking her up lovingly. Manik was in tears unknowingly, he felt hopeless in every way. His daughter was having nightmare right next to him, he can't pick her and sooth her. He wanted to hug Nandini, who was feeling alone. Who was treated badly by her father. He could see right in her eyes what she was feeling. He wanted to love her give her assurance that everything will be fine. But in this condition nothing was coming handy. He felt handicapped. He hated this. This whole thing happening.

Mamma!! Ruhi opened her teary eyes which was scared of nightmare. It broke Nandini's heart into several more pieces. Manik held his daughter's tiny hand in his.

Baby, kya hua? Manik cajoled her. While Nandini made her sleep beside Manik, who took her in his protective sheild by lifting his body to right. Which gave warmth she needed. She snuggled in his crook of neck Nandini's peppering kiss calmed her to some extent. They both sighed when her hiccup stopped.

Nightmare. Fire. Ruhi said to him with the fear. Manik felt more helpless though he saved her from the fire, he really couldn't save his daughter from the worst experience. What that little heart went through God knows. He cursed himself but Nandini held his hand tightly from stopping his negative thoughts further. He did what could be done.

Perhaps, what gained Manik's attention was, how Nandini recognised his feelings. Which is so unlike his Twinkle. He could really see the difference. Not only today, he is seeing the difference in her behaviour from the day he knew Twinkle was back. He needed time to talk about it. But surely he gonna have very personal talk with her alone. He really needed some answers before he confront his mother-in-law. And that could wait definitely.

Oh! My baby it's just a nightmare. Nothing will happen until your daddy is here. Your super hero. Nandini said proudly. Manik's heart softened hearing her. He kissed his daughter eyes affectionately. He mentally thanked Nandini, when they saw Ruhi relaxing in their arms like always.

Wait?? She called me Mamma!!! Nandini's eye widen realising what she heard after a long. She didn't gave that much thoughts or she wasn't in a state to acknowledge the same. But now.

I guess she did. Manik smirked at Nandini. Ruhi chuckled seeing Nandini's face. She looked them blankly.

How? Nandini was dumbfounded.

Long story baby. Manik wanted kiss that point of her's. He pulled her to him and sucked heard, forgetting. Boy! He was acting all cold at her.

Daddy ewwwww. Making Manik chuckle louder. At the end of the day. Manik truly held cuteness who could make him laugh by his heart. Because he had the beautiful daughter by his side always.

Aww my baby. Both her parents tickled her, their room was filled with their laughter. Sadness can wait at their door steps. And move on feeling jealousy about their family.

Ruhi. She looked at him, while having her food. Manik sat next to her with support of Nandini by his waist. Where he kept on feeding her by his own hands. She hated salad. She hated doctor. Period.

They were finally home. Malhotra's can't stop gushing in happiness. Finally their kids are at home. Mother Malhotra took entire charge of all kids. While Suyyash got back to his work to take care of things until Cabir joins back to business. Malhotra's gave time and space to Nandini. Even Neyonika apologized her for her behaviour. She couldn't be more grateful for their understanding. Though it was the payback from the family for bring their family together, which felt impossible before four months. Nandini truly brought Malhotra's together like never before. They forgave her with all heart even knowing what she had done. But when Nandini apologized them for the same, they let go the matter for Manik alone. She is his culprit not theirs. And they didn't want to poke their nose in between. Which was very strict order of Suyyash to both mother and her youngest son. Who nodded their head like obedient students.

Malhotra mansion was going back to it's demeanor. Happy. Joyous. Celebrations.

Yes Daddy. Ruhi pouted sadly at Nandini to help her but seeing Nandini and also helpless in the matter of health. All thanks to doctor Malhotra, who was in mood to compromise with their health. Or let them show their smartness with their stubbornness. When nothing worked, all they could do was bent against Manik's order.

He liked ruling their stubbornness, it was not everyday scene for Manik. He laughed evilly at them but maintained his stiffness.

Will you promise me something?? Nandini looked at him for his choice of words as she fed him and herself. The tasteless blunt soup. She wanted puke around too badly. But maintained herself, she certainly didn't want to be in bad books of Manik, which is already leading from several years. She sustained herself. Even her cravings for spicy and juicy food.

What?? I don't promise you to eat this blunt ever. I swear. Even if you ground me. Ruhi was scared to scarifice her food habits that's not gonna happen this life birth at least.

I know. Manik rolled his eyes for the love she had on food. He made his daughter to sit on his lap and Nandini just beside him.

I want you to promise me that you'll take care of certain someone. And love that someone unconditionally. You promise me to cherish them. While you do that for Daddy?? He asked her hopefully. Nandini was startled. She didn't expect Manik saying about the baby to their daughter first before anyone. She was amused.

For Ruhi it didn't matter until the matter is not of her food. She doesn't compromise with her yummy tummy food. Born foodie she is. Entirely different from Manik Malhotra.

Of course daddy. She smiled brightly. While Manik took her tiny hand in his and placed it on Nandini's tummy. Where Nandini just adored the scene in front of her. It was worth billion to her. How maturely he was handling her daughter. She was proud of him.

How about I say my daughter got promotion of being big sister to her coming sibling?? Manik waited for her reaction with Nandini. Where Ruhi's eyes twinkled with joy hearing that.

That would be wonderful. I'm going to be the big sister. The big girl if their family. Ruhi clapped happily. And hugged Nandini tightly in joy. Manan's happiness didn't had any beyond. She danced all around the room. She threw all the pillow around making Nandini cry in misery to clean the room, which was one hectic job for her. But let go seeing her daughter's contagious laugh. Their world was beautiful just because of her. They made it till now just because of her. And it was worth it.

The happiness was worth for all the pain and struggle they went through for her. She was blessing of their life. Who gave meaning to their life, like no one.

Nandini just cuddled to Manik's arm, who took her in his arms lovingly. They cherished the moment of happiness after the disaster with pure kiss, which confessed they were strong than the demon. The demon truly shook them but couldn't seperate them all because of their love and their truthful towards eachother.

Sorry for the delay. I couldn't really come up with anything. I got writer block while writing this chapter. It isn't that good. But bear me. Next will be past.
