ANGEL HOUSE 

Right now all the 6 girls were at home partying. The hall was filled with balloons, party poppers and loads of junk food on the table. Noodles, chilli paneer, pani puri, chaat, burger, french fries and cold coffees.

Shar-" Lets start the party guys, hayee 1 week baad mujhe itna tasty tasty khana khane milega. Insab ne hame alag rakha na itne din and gave me those tasteless food. Mere favorite junk food I missed you so much." She took a fork full of her favorite hakka noodles in her hand and looking at it with all the love in her eyes while all gave her a look and burst out laughing.

Manvi-" Sleepy baby, tu kabse bhukkad bann gayi? Aise lovinglooks khane ko toh yeh bhukkad Bhabhi deti hai." 

Neha-" Oyee chup kar NanJu, meri behen mere jaisi hi hogi na she is my twin after all. Par main aise looks nahi deti khane ko, stop exaggerating." Neha hit her with a cushion while Manvi showed her tongue. 

Sharu-" Ohooo, shhhh mere ko mera noodles khane do yaar. See my sexy teddy bear is so sweet that he himself offered us a treat for helping him in all this woh bhi unlimited food order. Hayeee, finally hamari wish puri hui of having a party from Manik's money." 

Sumi-" I agree, par still yaar itna kuch nahi mangana chahiye tha hame. Abhi uske paas jab pura bill jayega tab woh kya haal karega hamara socha hai tum sabne." 

Neha-" Ohooo, meri pyaari smiley don't worry insab khane ka bill Manik ko kal ke pehle nahi milega as abhi that Majnu will be busy romancing with Nandini to check his phone for any withdrowal notification and Yash insab ka bill kal office me hi dega na Manik ko. Kal ki kal dekhenge re abhi lets enjoy." She took her plate of pani puri and stuffed suharika's mouth with one pani puri. 

They were having their fun enjoying, eating and pulling each other's legs when Neha's phone rang but she could not find her phone. 

Neha- "Oye mera phone kaha hai?" She got up from her bean bag and checked there but couldn't find her phone. 

Amaya-" Wahi hoga CB dekh theek se awaaz toh idhar hi aa rahi hai." Slowly slowly everyone checked and now 2nd time the phone rang. 

Manvi-" Yeh le mil gaya tera phone." Manvi fished out her phone which was stuffed in between the sofa. " Cabir ka call hai." 

Neha-" Hello, haan Cabir bolo." 

Cabir-" Neha what is all this? Tum logon ne phir koi prank kiya kya? Listen where ever you people are get Nandini here." 

" Agar ismein unn dono ladkiyon ka haath hai na -

Neha-" Kya bol rahe ho Cabir I'm not getting anything. What prank? And why will Nandini be with us woh toh Manik ke saath hai na on a date." She asked with a complete confused look on her face while the girls in front of her asked her as to what happened? She shrugged her shoulder not getting anything but she could hear Manik's shout from the back.

Cabir-" What... Nandini ko tum log nahi leke gaye apne paas?... Ohh manik rukk ek min, let me talk once... Umm Neha abhi kaha ho tum log?"

Neha-" Ham log toh ghar aa gaye the 1 n half hr pehle hi. Woh Manik ki awaaz hai na piche? Kya hua Cabir everything is fine na?" Neha had by now kept the phone on speaker 

Cabir- "Are you sure Nandini vahan nahi aayi? Maybe usne tumlogo ko message kiya ho? Pls yaar agar yeh koi type ka surprise hai toh mat karo aisa. Manik ki jaan nikli jaa rahi hai yahan.

Manvi- "Cabir, hum pranksters hai, hasane k liye pranks karte hai par hume hamari limit bhi pata hai. Aisa ghatiya joke hum kabhi nahi karenge. Nandini yahan nahi aayi hai naa hi aisa kuch plan tha. Agar emergency bhi hoti toh manik ko bina bataye vo milne nahi aati.

Cabir- "Shit, vo achanak se...Manik rukk yaar haan vo vahan nahi hai...vo achanak se gayab ho gayi... haan manik, oye tu nahi jaa raha akele mai aaraha hu. Shut Up, nahi tu gaadi nahi chala raha, haan unko bolta hu...listen guys, Manik monster mode mai jaa raha hai, nandini chacha chachi k vaha bhi nahi hai. Hum do teen jagah jaa rahe hai dekhne-

Amaya- "Mai preeti aur shaan ko  inform karti hu, they will be able to track her. Tum log hume tumhari location bhejo aur jahan dhundna hai uski list bhi. Ek se bhale do and police valo ko bhi hum inform kardenge."

Cabir- "Ok but vo log track kaise karenge. Vo kidnappers itne bhi dumb nahi honge k nandini ka phone abhi tak rakhe."

Amaya- "Preeti and shaan  unke line mai best hai. There are other ways to track a person also(No guys, I am not gonna tell you. We don't encourage stalking; ;-) ) But bina koi source k it will take time.  

Cabir- "Ok tum log vo...manik kya karraha hai yaar mai baat karra-

Manik- "Listen, maine nandu ko smartwatch and earrings gift kia tha which I made specially for her. It looks like a regular watch but its not. Agar vo usey 3 tap karti hai with a pause between the first and second and then draws M and N respectively toh it activates the tracker in her earrings. Preeti ko bolo vo check kare."

Amaya- "That's amazing! Alright sharu and neha baaki location mai dekhne jaarahe hai. Manu media k through try karegi. Mai aur sumi police k saath honge tabtak preeti and shaan will have something.  And manik monster mode abhi k liye offline rakhna. You need a clear head now baadme hulkout karlena"

Cabir- "Don't worry, I will keep him in line."

Nandini was having one of the best days of her life. Her love believed her more than nishant. She knew it was hard for manik, being betrayed by a person who was like a father to him in all means and still acting as if nothing has changed. It humbled her how much manik has changed and is willing to hold back just because she said so. Even a year ago, manik would have hulked out, raging with revenge and then shut everyone out building a china wall around his heart. But not now. Now he's ready willing to trust and reach out when needing help. Her manik had gone a long way from the arrogant khamba(pole) egoist, the-whole-world-is-my-playground-and-I-don't-take-no-for-an-answer to cute khamba sized teddy bear who pouts and acts like a child.

She loved this new version of manik. She always knew his heart is of gold and now the world is seeing it too. Not only that but manik is the fairytale boyfriend she always dreamed of. Sweet, attentive and always giving love. Always. Not to mention sexy. What more could a girl want.

She smiled reminiscing their anniversary when the lights went out.

"Manik, ab aur kitna surprise baki hai?"
When suddenly someone grabbed her roughly from behind and slapped a hand to her mouth. She instinctively knew it was not manik though their hands were of same size because first manik would never manhandle her roughly and second the guy reeked of tuna fish and motor oil.

"Cho-dgmplh." The guy tied her wrists and put a tape on her mouth before throwing her on his shoulders like a sack of potatoes.

"Oye tujhe ladki ko uthane ko bola tha, yeh kis bache ko uthake laaya tu." Another man asked  when they reached the van.

"Yehi vo ladki hai. Maine 2 baar check kiya" he dropped her on the backseat and sat opposite to her.

"Huh. 12 saal ki bachi lagti hai. I bet 8 inches ki heels pehni padti hogi Malhotra k at least chest tak pahuchne k liye." He smirked at her "Khamba and tingu kya jodi hai"

"MFULGHMPH!" That guy was lucky nandini was tied. No one called her tingu and got away unscathed. She was average sized dammit. It was not her fault that she hated complan and plain milk.

"Save your kitten glare for later tingu. We have a job to deliver you and no we are not gonna tell you anything else so keep quiet and save your energy or continue struggling and exhaust yourself. You are not going anywhere."

Nandini knew this. Even if  she was able to free her wrists-and that's a big IF- there are 2 beefy men who do this regularly and also have weapons. They could have drugged her but she's counting her blessings. They had deactivated her phone and threw it away along with broken sim card. She knew manik and others would be looking for her by now. But time is of essence. She looked at her watch thankful for Manik's paranoid and discreetly drew the specific pattern. A small blue dot appeared on it signaling that the tracker on her earrings has activated. Now the only thing left to do was wait and pray so she did.

"Come fast manik, I am waiting for you."

On the other side, everyone was searching for nandini. Neha and Sharanya had decided to meet manik and cabir at manik's house after they look through all the places where nandini could be. Manik was keeping a level head now but that could change if nandini isn't found soon and cabir would need help to keep the monster malhotra from showing its head. Karan had called Manvi and they were searching through cctv footages of nearby buildings to see if they can find a clue. And Amaya was calling preeti. After 2 rings Preethi's phone was picked.

Preethi-" Aa gayi meri yaad aap sabko?Main na chodungi nahi Shantanu ko usne mera party cancel kar diya. Par wait haan main aa rahi hoon 15 mins mein ghar mera food rakhna. Akele akele party kar--" before she could complete Amaya cut her in between.

Amaya-" Preets.. sunn.. sunn, Nandini is kidnapped we don't know where but she is kidnapped from the date spot. Tu plz try kar na trace karne ki that where is she. Umm.. I'm sending you an IP address of Nandini's smartwatch through WhatsApp track it down." Amaya was going all hyper as she knew that Manik won't sit quietly for long and moreover Nandini was in danger.

Preethi-" Kidnap kaise hui Abhi tog ham sabne unhe choda tha na... acha wait you send me the address I will see and let you all know." She assured Amaya.

Amaya-" Preets, ask him to get his team to the location also. We would need them." Amaya said this and after getting a positive response from the other side she cut the call.

Nandini's thoughts were running a mile a second. She tried to memorize the roads before giving it up as a lost cause as they took another sharp turn on the deserted road. She even contemplated throwing her bracelet out of window for manik like sita maiyya had done when ravan had abducted her but naah, this is not a wattpad story where the heroine leaves behind something of her and the hero gets it and immediately knows that his lover had left it behind and he automatically knows where the kidnappers are. It never made any sense to her.

"Hah. As if you are the epitome of senseness." Her inner-conscious decided this was the best time to make an appearance. Where was it when she was getting kidnapped? Probably hiding behind hypothalamus. The coward.

Yeah, she knew she wasn't making any sense but give her a break okay. Its not everyday she gets kidnapped  by someone who thinks that the best time to kidnap her was when she was with manik on a date. More importantly, she had not even eaten the double chocolate fudge manik had made for her. She decided to eat to 2 extra fudges after getting home so that the soul of the lost ignored fudge sitting all lonely and getting dirty with no one to pay attention would finally get to rest in peace. And then go see a psychiatrist. This kidnapping was screwing her mind.

She was so lost in her thoughts that it took her a moment to realise that the van has stopped. 3 guesses where they are? And the first two don't count.

Yep. You are absolutely correct. An absolutely filthy and conjuring level creepy building covered in half dried vines and weeds growing in large bushes. Ayappa, why are the standards of kidnappers so low? She understood that such places are chosen to up the fear factor in kidnapped people. But can't they atleast clean the place a little, like getting rid of cobwebs the size of Eiffel tower and checking for flying lizrads or bats. She swore if she became a meal to acromantulas, she was going to haunt every kidnapper in the world who thought it was acceptable to use such goddamn dirty places for kidnapping. She would sic her chachi on them. her chachi was obsessed about hygiene. Better yet, she would form an army of Indian mothers including those of kidnappers and leave them alone. Police have got nothing on angry mothers when they go on interrogation mode. Their one glare is enough to make a criminal cower.

She eyed her kidnappers speculatively. Especially the tingu comment one. He would be her first target. Scratch that, he would be her chachi's guinea pig for her recipes like the baingan dahi pizza which she so loved to make. No one who tasted that dish have ever come to their house after that. That would be the ultimate punishment.

The guy turned to her from the driver seat. "So tinguji, we have reached our destination. It was fun kidnapping you. Try to stay meek and do what you are told, don't try to escape. " He wriggled a finger at her face. "Your lamba khamba would have tracked you by now and don't forget to bath in sanitizer and stay in quarantine till your test results come. Responsible citizen and all that."

"Should we chloroform her?" The other beefy muscle asked.

"We were supposed to bring her unconscious, but then it was important she realised the importance of corona and sanitizer." Nandini glared and the man grinned widely "and we would have missed tingu's kitten glare."

"Sorry pocket size, but you have to go unconscious you know. The goons have to dress up and put on their mean face. Can't have you thinking they are not meanies. Bad for business." With that he removed the tape and in the next second a cloth was shoved on her face covering her nose and mouth that she had no choice to inhale and the next moment the world faded into darkness."

"Enjoy the sleep shorty while it lasts." Was the last thing she heard.

Manik and cabir were driving for two hour checking with nandini's friends and all of manan's secret spots with no clues at all. They had even checked mamu's hideouts which some manik knew and most he found on the file neha had hacked to find evidence against him. It was almost 3 hours since nandini was kidnapped and manik was losing his patience.

"Cabir drive faster! why the heck are you driving like a 90 year old grandma crossing street with her kittens?"

Cabir looked at him incredulously "Manik I am driving at 110mph. Any faster we will be fucking competing with planes. I am too handsome to die in a messy car crash."

But Manik wasn't listening. "Nandini has been gone for 3 hours and I can't do anything. Damnit." He punched at the top of the car. "Let me drive."

"So next day, we get front page photo of us  with headlines 'Handsome Man transformed into crushed chicken because he decided to let his friend drive them into pits of hell.' Sorry buddy but not on my bucket list "

Manik was looking mad not the usual mad but the bellatrix level mad cracing for voldemort that belongs to hospital with "WARNING: APPROACH AT YOUR OWN RISK" written on forehead and Cabir realized that this was not the time to joke especially when he's alone with manik in a car and no one would hear his cries for help. Gulp.

He pulled out his phone and quickly typed a message "No clue of Nandini. Manik is in Monster mood at highest level. I am going to Malhotra house, we will meet you there. If you don't see me in 1 hour, inform navya not to mourn me. I would have left the world for a noble cause"

Hitting send, cabir started driving to Malhotra house. "Cabir, there are still places to search, I am not going to my house without finding nandini."

"Then, we will be roaming across whole Mumbai. We have searched all the places manik, and preethi has told na she will call us soon and k-sisters are also reaching there." He added "We also have to take another car, this one's tank is nearly empty

30 mins later

"What the hell you mean that nandini vaha nahi thi. Tum log yahan sirf yeh kehne aaye the k nandini nahi mili. Kis kaam k tum dono? Ek kaam dhang se nahi hota tum dono se.  Pranks k alawa tum logo ko kuch aata bhi hai ya nahi. Jabse tum dono mere life mai aaye ho, zindagi hell kardi hai tum logone. Company k best hacker hona tum dono, then why can't you find her? Huh? Tell me dammit." Manik was shouting in the end not even noticing how hard those cutting words were piercing through the twins' hearts.

Neha and Sharanya were shocked at being shouted by Manik and a little scared too. They never cared what the world thought about them. Being orphaned at young age, they never had an adult figure to shield them, only each other and M6 but they had to fight for themselves. They never trusted easily but those whom they did become their family. They both were competitive in nature, dabangg girls who didn't take bulshit but they could never fight with their family. They preferred to lose instead of seeing their family sad. Manik and Nandini slowly but surely had become part of family. Nandini was like another older sister with whom they could talk  anything and everything and always had a solution for any problem and Manik, they saw him their protector. Not the knight in shining armour type. They were not damsels in distress. They felt safe with Manik, they felt confident, like they could achieve everything. They annoyed him true, made manik feel like ripping out his hairs but that's what sisters do to their older brothers.

"Manik, stop. You know its not their fault." Cabir's voice was soft but no one could mistake the warning laced in his tone.

"I am going to find nandini." He stormed out.

Cabir knew that he cannot let manik to go alone but he wasn't going to leave the k-sisters either. "Guys, I am sorry from Manik's behalf. He didn't mean anything he said. Please don't take it to heart." He pleaded.

Neha gave him a watery smile. "We know cabir. We need to go with Manik right now. Can't leave him to scare people with his hulk face." She joked and went after Manik.

Sharanya locked her arms with cabir and dragged him after neha "Its ok cabir. Let's focus on getting nandini first. After that we will prank the hell out of manik."

5 minutes later

Manik is driving his car in full speed and with him 3 other people are sitting chanting mantras.

"It's all my fault, sab meri galti hai mujhe Nandini ko chodke jaana hi nahi chahiye tha. I won't leave him if anything happens to her. I will set the whole world on fire. " Manik growled, looking like a starved lion ready to kill with his bloodshot eyes fixed at the road and his grip on the steering wheel as tight as an iron.

" Woh toh tab hoga na Manik jab ham khud zinda rahenge. Dekh bhai tu gaadi rok main chalata hoon. You are not in control of yourself. Manik gaadi side mein Rokkkkkkkkkk...aaah." Cabir who was sitting on the passengers seat tried to stop Manik but then stopped abruptly as Manik took a sharp turn towards the left resulting in his head to almost banging with the car window.

" I know main aapki favroite hoon par iska matlab yeh nhai na that aap mujhe apne paas bulane ka plan banao. Jis 120 km ki speed se yeh chala raha hai usse toh pakka ham wahan aa jayenge. Aise kaise chalega na maiyaa? Dekho abhi age hi kya hai hamari, dekha hi kya hai life? Abhi toh disney land bhi nahi gaye hai ham. Bachalo na Devi maiyaa pakka aur kuch nahi mangungi ulta iss Monster ko pareshaan bhi nahi karungi....naaa woh toh thoda mushkil hai, umm haan, aapko jalebi banake chadhaungi aur uss Prithvi se kam jhagdoongi. Nandini ka pata toh chal hi jayega abhi kuch der mein par iss monster ka kya kare? Aur inn dono ka call kyun nahi abhi tak." Sharanya was continuously praying to her devi maiyaa and holding neha's arm's tightly who looked like her whole life was flashing before her eyes.

At the same time a phone rang grabbing everyone's attention in the car. Neha  picked the call once giving a look to everyone.

" Haan bol, kuch pata laga? Where are they?" 

Preethi-" Fluffy,ham pahoch toh gaye hai wahan par these people are looking dangerous. Tum log jaldi se aao yahan, I have whatsapped you the location. ANd yes aate wakt Taiyaab ali ke yahan se Pandit  ka costume and kuch saari lete aana. Ekdum gamadiya style."

" What? But how can they do this? And yeh sab kyun chaiye?"

Preethi-" Ohoo... Jitna bol rahi hoon utna leke jaldi aao tum log. Maine wahan call kiya hai just grab those stuff and come soon. Abhi bola maine toh tu behosh ho jayegi aur Manik will turn into a werewolf in anger ready to destroy everything." 

" Haan haan abhi pahuch rahe hai. Tum log tabtak sambhalo wahan.." Neha toh didn't get what was happening still she said okay. 

Neha gave her phone to cabir and said

" Yeh location hai yahan pahuchna hai Nandini ka pata chal gaya. But yes usse pehle Taiyaab Ali ke yahn se kuch saari aur Pandit ka costume lena hai. Bunny ne bola hai." Manik put on the break in a haste and the car haulted with a jerk, and he snapped his head back giving Neha a 'Are-you-out-of-your-mind' glare.

Cabir-" Manik.. Manik shaant, Preethi ne kuch sochke hi bola hoga. Lets leave fast man."

GLIMPSE For The next!

A 60 year old man is sitting in a well decorated mandap wearing sherwani. Behind him, two women are standing with ghungats covering their face holding varmalas. "Chori kahan hai? Jitna bola utni sundar toh haina? Yaa phir tum usse picha chudane k liye bol rahe the." He narrowed his wrinkling one eye at him. 

Nishant chuckled "Bohot sundar hai. Lekin akkad bhi zyada hai. Usse kabu mai rakhna padega."

The man grinned evily showing his yellow crooked teeth. "Uski tum chinta mat karo. Panchiyo k par kuchalne mai bohot mazza aata hai." He turned to the two women behind him "Oye chori, aane vali ladki ko taur tareeke sikhane ki zimmedari tum dono ki hai. Agar usney hamari naak katayi gaon valo k saamne toh aisa haal karunga tum dono ka 1 mahine tak chalne ki halat mai nahi rahoge samjhe?" He glared at them.

The two women were trembling but when he squeezed the blue saree woman's hand painfully, she stuttered "J-ji patidev, nayi bahu aapko naraz nahi karegi."

Nishant turned to the pandit "panditji, humare paas zyada time nahi hai, jaldi mantr padhke khatam kardena."

The pandit clenched his fists but otherwise there was no outward reaction. "Lo, dulhan bhi aagayi" Nishant said with a smirk.

Nandini was dressed in red bridal wear. Her eyes were bloodshot and there were dried tear marks on her face but she came silently. Hey ayyapa, meri izzat ab tere haat mai hai. Aaj koi khilwad mat karna. Manik aaayega mere liye mughe pata hai bas zyada late naa hojaye.

She felt an intense gaze on her from across the room. She glanced discreetly and her eyes landed on the familiar chocolate brown eyes which were now blood red. Manik the name fell from her lips like a prayer
