Manan entered inside the mansion and settled in living room....servants reached them and asked to have lunch as it was already late and cavya already had their lunch while leaving....

Nandu:nahin kaka mujhe nahin khaana hain....maine abhi ice cream khaya tha !!

Kaka:teekhe...tu waise bhi ghar mein hi hain na...manik baba !! Aap kha lijiye...phir apko office jaana hain na !!

Manik:nahin kaka maine bhi ice cream kha liya tha !!

Nandu:par tum toh office jaa rahe ho na aur ice cream se kahan stomach full ho jayega ??

Manik:tera hua na nandu...mera bhi ho gaya !!

Manik smirked while nandu looked at him confused...

Nandu:par maine kab kahan ki mera paet(stomach) bhar gaya hain ??

Manik:abhi kahan na ki tumhe nahin khaana...so...I thought you are full !!

Nandu(cribbing):arre mera mann nahin tha !!

Manik(shrugging):mera bhi nahin hain...

Nandu(frustrated):arghh !! Chalo...khaathi hoon....

Manik(smiling):chalo !!

They both reached dining table and settled opposite to each other....kaka served them food and was about to go away when nandu called him...

Nandu:acha kaka aap logon ne khaaya kya ??

Kaka:nahin bitiya...tum dono khalo toh hum bhi khayenge !!

Nandu:hum log kha rahe hain na...aap log bhi shuru kijiye !! Koyi jaroorat hain toh sab yehi hain na...main dekh lungi aur haan...kuch chahiye toh yaha se lijiye...teekhe ??

Kaka smiled at her and went while blessing her in heart...manik was lost in her and is thinking that how his cute and innocent nandu became so big and responsible !! She thinking about others before her is a big thing and he was proud of her !! Nandu started to eat after talking to kaka while manik too started while looking at her in between...

Manik(unable to control his emotion):Tum bahut achi ho nandu...I mean...servants ko khaane ke liye poochna sabki bas mein nahin hota hain...

Nandu(weakly smiling):servants bhi toh insaan hain na manik...hum log bahar kuch na kuch khaate rehte hain jiski wajah se we may eat lately...woh log toh poora din kaam karte rehte hain aur kuch nahin khaate hain jab tak hum kuch dete nahin...agar woh log bahar se aate the toh hum log parwa na karein toh bhi chalega...par...un logon ko humare ghar mein humare khaam ke liye rakhte hain toh we need to take care of them...hum log chahe khaaye yah nahin par unlogon ko khilana bahut jaroori hain !!

Manik(proudly):tumhe toh bahut kuch pata hain !!

Nandu:experience manik !! Main bhi toh past 4 years ek servant hi thi...so...maine dekha tha ki kaise mere saath rehne wale bhukhe rehte the as mama mami never allowed them to eat till they finish their lunch !!

Manik was shocked as he didn't understood what to speak...nandu continued to eat and he was feeling too vulnerable as he was not able to save his nandu...she was their princess and she being as a servant in her own nani's house was so miserable and he not being there to protect her made him ashamed of himself !! He thought if he would have thought to search her apart from his dad's informers...may be nandu would have not faced all these problems !! He is blaming himself for all the pain nandu went through...manik was busy in his world when nandu voice brought him back to world !!

Nandu:mujhe ab samaj mein aaya manik ki kyun navya tumse itna pyaar karti hain...you are so sweet !!

She said so and left from there as her food was finished while manik smiled to himself listening her words...he too stood up and went to wash his hands...

Manik(pov):tumhare saath jo bhi hua main usse badhal nahin sakta....par I will make sure ki only happiness reaches you and no pain is not even around you !!

Manik left for office after bidding bye to nandu and promising her that he will be home soon....nandu asked servants if they need any help and when they said everything is under control she left to her room and settled on her bed !! As it was first day of college she is having no work...she took out her mobile from bag and switched on wifi...it may sound weird but nandu don't know how to use a mobile phone....navya taught her some basic uses,chatting and all while nandu is slowly trying to learn and get used to mobile usage !! She already exchanged numbers with her new friends and as soon as she switched on wifi her mobile got loaded with new messages in whatsapp and add requests in hike !! She checked the messages and they were from navya,alya,dhruv and maddy...she replied to each one and got busy in chatting....she didn't realised when she fell asleep while chatting....her slumber got disturbed by a knock on the door...nandu opened her eyes and noticed her position with her mobile in her hands and her head against headboard...she tried to remember how she fell asleep and understood that as she was not used to mobile usage for long her eyes got tired and fell asleep !! She again heard a knock and moved down from bed to reach the door...she opened the door to see kaka standing there...he smiled at her and nandu too smiled...

Kaka:Nandini bitiya...hum log jaa rahe hain...wahi batane aaya hoon...tum aakhar darwaaza bandh karlo...manik baba ke paas dusri chabi hain toh unhein koyi takleef nahin hogi...baaki chabiya neeche living room mein hain lelo jab tum bahar jaogi....maine raat ke liye dinner tayar karli hain...khate waqt gharam karlena !!

Nandu:jee kaka...aapke paas paise hain na ??

Kaka:haan bitiya chinta math kar...

Nandu:aaram se jayiyega....

Kaka blessed her and left while nandu too followed him downstairs and locked the door once they all left !! She sat on couch in living room after collecting snacks for herself and started to watch television along with checking notifications...she was do much engrossed in her works that she didn't noticed when manik came and sat beside her...he was admiring her and her laugh as she was watching some cartoon which she used to watch in her childhood !! Nandu turned to her left while laughing and again turned back...she remembered something and again turned to left to notice manik looking at her sitting beside her on couch !! She jumped on her place and started to shout but manik placed his hand on her mouth and opened his eyes widely....

(Iamgine manan and manik closing nandu mouth)

Manik(placing finger on his lips):shh !! Chilla kyu rahi ho...

Nandu(removing his hand):tum bhoot ki tarah kyun baite ho ?? I got scared !! (remembering something)par tum andhar kaise aaye ho ??

Manik(shrugging casually):ofcourse jaise sab log aate hain...door se !!

He made a that's the fact face while nandu cringed her brows at him...

Nandu:mera matlab hain ki door toh locked tha na...if you would have entered inside then tumne toh lock open kiya hoga na...phir mujhe sunayi kyun nahin diya ??

Manik:woh isliye kyun ki tum tv mein lost thi aur sound kya kam tha....waise kya dekh rahi thi ??

Manik was about to turn towards television when nandu took the remote which she placed beside her and switched off tv...she smirked at him and ran to off the switches as once the switch is off then tv will reset but little did she know that manik already noticed the program...she checked the time and noticed that it was already 9pm !!

Nandu(getting up):main jaake dinner heat karti hoon....tum jaake fresh ho jao...teekhe ??

Manik nodded and left for his room while nandu left to kitchen nodding her head in disbelief at her stupidness and cursing herself under her breath !!

Manik(pov):Maine bahut try ki jaldi aane ki but already dad nahin the aur ab bhai bhi nahin hain...yah !! Iam not much experienced in handling office but I have been dealing with many projects from my college times so I can handle projects !! I was too engrossed in meetings and presentations that I couldn't make it upto time...main 8pm ko ghar pahucha tha and I thought nandu must be sleeping as kaka already called me and informed that they are leaving and nandu was sleeping while they left...so I opened the door with my spare key but as soon as I entered inside I was shocked to see nandu laughing and jumping on couch while eating snacks...I moved a little towards her in a hope to have her attention but she was engrossed in watching....I turned my head towards TV and saw Tom and Jerry....seriously !!! How cute !!! Meri nandu ne abhi bhi yeh show bhuli nahin....yaar....I still remember how cabir bhai and she used to sit and enjoy the show with full sound without any disturbance and how will they be disturbed ?? Even if you try na toh bhi woh sunege nahin as they will be engrossed in show and same is happening today too....bhai used to watch this show whenever he misses nandu !! I placed my bag on table and sat beside her....she was laughing so angelic and I couldn't control myself from admiring her !! Abhi mujhe jaldi fresh hona hain as nandu must be hungry !!

Manik reached downstairs after changing into his shorts and settled on his chair...nandu too settled beside him after serving him dinner !! They were having dinner while talking randomly....

Nandu:tumne toh kaha tha ki you will come home early...when did you actually come ?? Aur tumne koyi sound kyun nahin kiya ??

Manik(smiling):maine kiya tha madam par aap busy thi....

Nandu smiled sheepishly....

Manik:aur main 8 ko aaya...sorry late huyi...

Nandu:kya karre the office mein ??

Manik started his office routine and nandu listened to it quietly while eating....they finished their dinner and retired to their rooms !! Nandu slept after talking to thai and cavya while manik too talked to cavya and slept while thinking about nandu !!

Morning

Nandu wokeup to her alarm which she kept in her mobile and freshened up...she finished her bath and got ready for the day...

She went to do suryanamaskar in her room balcony !! She used to do her reyaaz in India even though she was busy in her works but couldn't do it here as she don't have her veena ....back in India she had a veena which her amms gifted in her childhood which she took with her to lucknow but couldn't bring it to Newyork !! Nandu finished suryanamaskar and reached downstairs to kitchen !!

Kitchen

Nandu reached kitchen and checked all the shelves....she opened fridge and removed few fruits each of one type as navya already warned her last night itself to have fruits in breakfast along with boiled eggs till she returns back and nandu knew it's for her good only...it's just that she is loving to throw tantrums on navya who is loving her like a mother !! She removed fruits for manik's juice as navya told her that he drinks fresh fruit juice everyday and boiled milk...she poured cornflakes in a bowl and once milk got hot she shifted it into a jug and placed it in a tray along with other items !! She reached dining room and settled on a chair....

she started with her preparation for breakfast and after 30 minutes finished breakfast preparation....she thought to prepare cornflakes somewhat tastily and added it with fruits !!

Manik too reached down by that time and he came down while folding his sleeves....nandu was looking at him as he was looking too good...manik reached near her and smiled at her....

Nandu(proudly):Aaj mujhe samaj mein aaya manik ki kyun saari ladkiya tum pe itna marti hain....you are too good looking !! Must say haan...bahut handsome lag rahe ho...

Manik(smirking):kitna bhi dikhu tumse toh kam hi hu na !!

Nandu:flirting haan ??

Manik:tum jaisa samjhna chahti ho waise samjho !! Let me tell you one thing...(he reached near her)Manik Malhotra kisi ke saath flirt nahin karta !!

Nandu(smirking):Ohh !! But it's too late Mr.Malhotra as Iam already married !!

Manik(smiling inside):toh maine kab kaha ki Iam serious....flirting is good for health madam !!

Nandu:really !!!

Manik:yes !!

They both looked at each other and burst into laughter....after sometime they stopped and settled down for breakfast !! Manik was hesitating to start breakfast...nandu noticed this and decided to ask him...

Nandu:kya hua manik ??

Manik:woh...mujhe na har roz uthte hi black coffee peene ki aadat hain...actually !! Aaj tak kabhi main akhela nahin raha...koyi nahin hote toh servants toh hote...but this is the first time and mujhe uske bina kuch ajeeb sa lagta hain...mujhe pata hain tumhe pata nahin hoga...its k !! Main kal se apne liye banalunga !!

Nandu(slapping her head):ayyo ayyappa !! Navya be bola tha raat ko...Iam so sorry manik !! Kal se pakka...aaj ke liye adjust karlo ??

Manik:arre nahin !! Main bana lunga and breakfast is too yummy and delicious...thnks !!

Nandu(angrily):maine kahan na main bana lungi...soo chup !! Khao...

Manik nodded his head and quietly finished breakfast while nandu smiled and had her fruits !! She had her chocolate milk while manik was given his fruit juice !! They finished their breakfast and were about to get up from their seats when manik spoke...

Manik:agar roj aisa hi khaana mile toh...it will be fun !!

He smiled and left while nandu too smiled and cleaned everything !! They checked all the doors and nandu took spare key....she got out and manik locked the doors...nandu observed it as she don't know how to lock !! They then sat in the car and left for college....manan reached college and manik dropped her...nandu got down from car and bent from window inside the car...

Nandu:mujhe ghar ka address dijiye na....woh...aaj se full days hain na so...aapko late hoga na...main khud aajaungi ghar !!

Manik:main tumhe address bataunga but tumhe main khud pick karunga as my office will end by that time and from today no more over time...kal hi bhai se bola tha and he took some of the work...so...main timhe pick karunga and address ki toh...tum bas Malhotra Mansion bolo...koyi bhi lejayega tumhe teekhe ?? Be safe !! Bye !!

Nandu(smiling):bye !!

She moved inside the college while manik waited till she reaches inside and left for his office....
