NANDINI looked around and suddenly from nowhere , she remembered her first birthday with MANIK

She got drifted into the past

3 years back

NANDINI's pov

Today was a hectic day for me

I had to submit some assignments in college and i didn't even start anything at the beginning of the day

I had to complete all those
It was already evening , when i completed and submitted them

FAB5 are busy with their albums
They were practicing real hard that , they couldn't even meet me for once

I found it weird , but chucked all the thoughts , as i didn't even have time to think about any other thing

When i came out of the college , i got a call from RISHU

He asked me , if im free to spend some time with him , as he was missing me badly

It was the first even wish from my lil brother , so saying a * no * is out of question

I went to our home ( CHACHI's house ) , picked him up and we went to Mumbai darshan

We played , did masti , ate Indian street food talked over random topics and it was almost mid night , when i dropped RISHU and came home

I already informed everyone about my outing with RISHU and also that i will be late

The whole house is in complete darkness and im confused because at least one or two lights would be switched on

Im too tired to think about anything now
I tiptoed to our room and slowly opened the door to see a cute sight , which brought a wide grin on my face

My man , My MANI is sleeping on the bed , he has a cute pout , which i found really very very cute and sexy

I tiptoed not to disturb his deep slumber and pecked his pout lightly

But , he turned to the other side , facing his back to me and tears brimmed in my eyes

Waise toh , we are very close to each other ; we even know each other's unsaid words and emotions also

But from last few weeks , i feel he is going away from me

Actually to know the work better and to closely observe the progress of work ; he joined MALHOTRA industries , as a normal worker

Till then , he became a bit busy
He couldn't even take an hour time for me per day

But i compromised my heart , saying this is tough phase and it will soon pass away

But , a week back , when i went to our office he wasn't there
Receptionist informed me that he went for some site inspection

I felt bad , as i already told him in the morning that , i will be here to meet him

I asked her when will he come back and she said that he will not come to office today

I felt sad and went to get my bag , when i was returning , i heard the receptionist talking to one of the employee

What she said made my heart break into million pieces
I felt like crying my heart out and i ran out of the office wiping my tears mercilessly

I know what she said is not correct , but the situations made my heart completely blank

I was only listening to my mind
I know it's wrong but still i couldn't do much about it

After that day , till today MANIK didn't even spare a glance at me

He would leave to office before i woke up and come after im asleep
I used to act as im sleeping and when he used to freshen up and sleep , i would wake up and stare at him all the night

I some how used to answer my own questions that , it is very illogical to doubt his love
He has loved me beyond limits , but still i couldn't be at peace

That man who couldn't stay without hugging me and kissing me , is staying away from me

He wasn't not even talking to me

I looked around but my eyes couldn't spot him
I felt dizzy , but i held myself

The living room is completely decorated with my fav flowers

I put a fake smile for the people around me , everyone came and hugged me and wished me , to which i smiled back and mouthed a Thanq to them

Soon ALYA had ordered to bring a cake

I controlled my tears , as much as possible
I blew the candles and cut the cake , while some popped party poppers , some sprayed snow and all sang the birthday song for me

But i don't have that real smile on my face , as My life , My man , is not there with me

For a sec she forgot that MANIK is not there with her

Tears instantly brimmed in her eyes and the cake piece fell from her hand and her vision got blurred , as the tears finally started spilling out of her eyes

And listening to her , all realized that MANIK is not present there to celebrate his JAAN's birthday

All looked around and on not finding MANIK , they looked at NANDINI's vulnerable state

DHRUV ran upstairs to MANAN's room and opened the door , only to find MANIK sleeping soundly on his stomach

Today is NANDINI's birthday

As soon as DHRUV said , reality stuck MANIK

All felt bad for her , as she came out of the trance and is trying her best to control her tears and put a fake smile on her face , which can be clearly understood

MANIK came running and stood beside NANDINI

After an hour or so ; everyone retired to their rooms

It is decorated with NANDINI's fav flowers and scented candles

The aroma of the candles is giving the atmosphere a very romantic affect

They got confused , as in one and half hour it's decorated beautifully

NANDINI is standing near the bed , admiring the room and waiting to be in her love's arms

She is surprised that , she is nervous ; even after knowing each other so intimately ; they both saw each other naked , touched and kissed each other everywhere ; still she is getting nervous , by jus a mere feeling of him being inside her

She is going to loose her virginity and she is sure that , she will never regret

First she thought MANIK is having a look of the room , but not feeling his touch on herself , even after 3 - 5 minutes ; she turned and saw MANIK , is engrossed in his mobile

Her eyes welled up instantly , watching his aloofness towards her and she ran into the washroom , not wanting him to see her tears

He is not able to figure out , how to start the conversation ; how to take the important and vital step of their relationship

He definitely knew NANDINI is ready for it and is waiting for him

He himself is amazed by the awkwardness , that has been created in between them

He saw CABIR's message and opened it

* don't know why , but felt NANDINI was not completely happy all this while

When he was reading the message , he saw NANDINI going into the washroom , he thought the dress and jewelry are heavy for her , that is why she went to change

He kept pondering over CABIR's words ; while here NANDINI burst out into cries

She tried sitting on the floor , but the huge gown didn't let her , so she immediately removed her jewelry and clothes and changed herself into a bathrobe , which is hanged there

She jus threw away everything and in that , her removed clothes covered MANIK's gift

She sat on the floor and cried for almost half an hour

* for how long can anyone tolerate such a commanding girlfriend ??
Any guy would feel suffocated in such a relationship

And im sure , MANIK MALHOTRA is not the one , who wud like to be bossed around *

These are the words , which the receptionist said , that kept ringing in NANDINI's ears

After crying for don't know , how much time ; she came out , with red swollen eyes

She came near him to speak to him , but he didn't acknowledge her presence and kept rolling on the couch

New tears welled up in her eyes and she ran out of the room

That is when MANIK saw her and got worried for her

Without bothering to knock , she jus went inside and flung in NYONIKA's arms , who jus came out of the washroom after freshening up herself
