Chapter 3- Nothing matters more when someone is concerned for you..

"Nidhu.." I hardly could speak louder. It was evening already and I was hell tired after returning from work. I had asked the servant to take care of Nidhu. But I guess the servants had already left!

As I entered the guest room. Well I had shifted to another room. I can't stay in Manik's room as it was his!

"Nidhu??" I called for her but no respond. I searched every where but didn't find her. A sudden panic took over me.

Is Nidhu fine?? God!!

I glanced upstairs, at Manik's room.

Oh!! I didn't check there!

I ran upstairs. As I opened the door, the scene made me awestruck!

Manik was sleeping holding Nidhu close to him.!

Aww!!

I bent down and slightly touched Manik's cheek. I never thought that Manik had this side too!

No doubt, He loves babies!

I didn't know what got into me that I leaned closer to kiss his cheek but before I could, he instantly opened his eyes.

Damn!

I quickly back off. He looked at me confusingly and woke up carefully, making sure not to wake up Nidhu

"You..I mean, Nidhu is here?" I asked

"Yeah...umm, actually..Nidhu was alone in the guest room & was crying, looking for you. The servants had already left so I made her sleep. I didn't even realise when I felt asleep so.." Manik explained in such a cutely way.

"Umm..her dinner??" I knew he must have fed her already but still just wanted to confirm.

"Yeah, don't worry. She had already eaten. Tum bhi dinner karlo. Btw, where were you??" He asked with a frown. I was just lost in him

Oh...! Was I falling for him??

"Hello?? I'm asking you something!" He clicked his fingers infront of me and I came back to my sense.

"Haan..! I had gone to work! I'm currently working at a restaurant cafeteria so.." I said. I could see frowns creasing his forehead. Wasn't he happy with me working outside?

"Okay. And you can take Nidhu back to your room." What? But I thought he would ask to let her sleep in his room! Agrhh!

"Fine." I said

It had been 1 week, since I was living with Manik. I tried to find a place to live and I even got to but it was costing me too much! It was out of my budget.

It was quite embarrassing for me to ask money from Manik. I decided not to take his help this time because he had already done so much for me.! Once I asked him about his family and surprisingly, he told me everything!

He trusted me that enough to tell me everything!? Damn! He was so..., soo..

Can't be described..

He was different!!

His parents died in a car accident and all the property was on Manik's name only as he was the only heir of the family.

He tried to ask me about my family & Nidhu etc..but I always ignored his questions. I wanted to tell him but at a right time!

I was descending the stairs when my leg got twisted and I was about to fall but how could I, when I knew my Saviour was here!

"Nandini!! Where were you lost?? What if you would have fallen down?" Like always, Manik saved me!

"I know, you won't let me fall. Never ever.!" I smiled at him. Yes I trusted him! My eyes were locked in his. I loved everything about him.

The way he called me 'Nandini'...

The way he cared for me & Nidhu...

The way he smirked at me...

The way he held me...

Every damn thing!!

I was falling for him!

Or should I say.., I had already fallen for him!!

But did he love me?

Did he have the same feelings towards me?

Well that was still a question!!

"Nandini!!" He tapped my shoulder and I stared at his lips!

"The servants will take care of Nidhu. I'm going to college.., you're ready right? So let's go.." I nodded as I bit my lower lips.

"Listen Nandini..!" Manik stopped me right at the parking area.

"Nandini..you know, it would be better if you could leave my house till tomorrow." What the..! What did I just hear?? He wanted me out of his house now??

"But Manik..you know I haven't got any place to shift yet.." I defended. But he was right too! It's high time, I should leave his house

"I don't care okay! Just leave my house. You know, I really feel suffocated. You don't let me live in peace and Nidhu.. she.., she just keep on messing my things, my bedroom, my everything. I feel really irritated" He blurted out. I couldn't believe it was him, who was telling me all of this. He was irritaed with us?!

I thought, he cared for us!!

But fine.., I won't stay in his house anymore!

"Thank you Manik." I said as a sob escaped my mouth. I was really hurt with his words though. "Thank you for everything. I will..I will pay you back.. I promise. " God! I just wanted to cry out loud..! I stared at him, he was trying to say something.

Now what did he want tell. What he said earlier, wasn't that enough?

Or..he wanted to ask about my past?

"Kuch mat puchna Manik. Please!" I said lowly.

"Fine. Main kuch puchna bhi nhi chahta" He said and left. Once again I was hurt! Didn't he want to know the truth?

Does he still think that I'm characterless?

Didn't he trust me enough?

Maybe not! I can't expect him to trust me when he hardly knows me..

But still..,

It hurts!!

"Hello Nandini..!" I saw Alya waving at me as I was going upstairs to my class

"So I heard that you're staying at Manik's house? You want to play with him now or what huh!?" Argrh!! Such a disgusting question!

"I don't want to talk to an unintelligent girl..!" I said and made my way to my class, I knew Alya must be angry by now. I had hardly walked 10 steps of the stairs as Alya blocked my way.

God! Not again!!

"You!! Do I look like an unintelligent girl to you huh?!! How dare you say that?!!" She pushed me with a great force! I stumbled back and my right leg got twisted

Aouch. .!!

That hurts!! And I think my ankle had already been sprained now.

I tried to maintain my position but due to my sprained ankle, I couldn't!

I was going to fall back! Fall back off the stairs! Sh!t!

God no!

Help please!

I closed my eyes in fear of falling but I didn't! I felt someone just held me tight! I opened my eyes and found..

MANIK..!

OH MY GOD!

Double Trouble!!

"What are you doing Alya?" He asked her sternly as he made me stand properly

"Don't you know, she's so delicate! How could you just push her like that? Nandini girr jaati tou?" Oh really? Don't tell me. I rolled my eyes and turned to leave

He was a Dramebaaz!

But as I turned, he held my hand

"Nandini wait." He said so sweetly and I just wanted to faint! Just few minutes back he was rude and now? He was actually talking so sweetly with me?!!

"C'mon Manik, let her go!" Alya yelled. I knew she hated me to the core!

"I'll never let her go!" His voice was so mesmerizing! His lips! Ahh! I just want to kiss him hard!!

Shh! No dirty thoughts Nandu..!

Manik jerked Alya's hand away. Alya sighed and left from there. No doubt, she must be very much furious!

He came close to me, I knew.. again some mischievous act or rudey words was on the way.

"Tumhai chot tou nahi lagi na?" I instantly gave him a look. Am I dreaming? He was again in his good mode!

Why is he so confusing!??

"Umm..no!" I lied and limped towards my class as it was about to start

"You sure? You can't walk properly! Did something happen to your leg?" Agrh! He very well knew that I was not okay then why he had to act so formal??!!

"It's nothing, I can walk.." Before I could enter my class, Manik lifted in his arms. His act made me stuned! We entered an empty class, I was still in his arms.

That feels so good!

"Where's hurting? Show me.." He said as he made me sit on the desk. He bent down on his knee and stared at me

"Manik..it's okay!" I tried to get up, avoiding his gaze. I knew I would fall weak

"No.. it's not!" He insisted. It's just one week that I stayed with him but still He knew me so well though.

"Don't stay mum dammit, show me where is it hurting?!!" And that's it! I couldn't control my anger now. Few minutes back, he said those words to me! I wanted to punch him hard but my love for him, was stopping me.

I love him..

But I never expected something special from his side.

"Manik enough na!! I'm okay!" I shouted as I pushed him lightly, showing my anger. He glared at me.

Oopps! I guess, I had awaken the monster!

"Don't you dare speak to me on that tone!" He said in a dangerous tone as He came closer to my face, eyeing on my lips..

Ugrh!

I melting..

Sh!t no! Control Nandini!!

"Aaah!" I screeched as Manik pressed himself on me.

"What's wrong?" I could see panic in his face. Was he more than worried for me???

"My ankle!" I held my right leg and I guess, he understood what I meant.

He bent down, removed my black ballerina shoes. I hated high heels btw.

"Why can't you take care of yourself? Jabhi dekho, tm kisy na kisy mussibat mein phas hi jaati ho. What if main time pe na aata tou?" He was scolding me, maintaining his sweet tone.

"Tou main girr jaati na, simple." He gave me look and I bit my tongue.

"Alya pushed you, you could have done the same right!" He gently caressed my ankle.

"I'm not that girl who takes revenge.. no matter what happens.." He just shook his head cutely

Aww!

He looked cute!

He caressed my ankle, I was feeling ticklish but felt relaxed at the same time

"Manik it's okay now." I could feel his intense gaze on me. Why was he even concern for me when he wanted me out of his house?? I stood up to leave but his next move made me totally shocked!

He pinned me to the wall and I gasped. Without any warning, he placed his lips on mine!

Oh sh!t!! What was happening??

I tried to pushed him but he kept on kissing! His hands went around my waist, he pulled me closer.

Oh God! Is he going to rape me or what??

I pushed him with a great force and slapped him hard on his face.

"How dare you Manik!!" I said, my eyes spitting fire!
