15. Last Chapter - Together, we make a family!

"Go Nandini. Leave me alone for sometime" I said moving my gaze down to the floor.

She should have listen to me atleast!

"Manik, I'm--I'm sorry" She sobbed, I wanted to take her in my arms. But no, why should I always do the first move? Why always me?

I sat back on the bed, palming my face. I was literally having a bad headache now.

"Manik.." I heard her whisper. I looked to the front and found her kneeling down to me

"I know I should have listen to you! I'm so stupid! I just created more complications between us. I'm really sorry! But think it yourself, agar tum meri jagah hote tou? You would have get on more furious and even throw me out of your house!"

"No!" I cupped her face and made her look at me "I would never have! Because I trust you! And this isn't just my house, it's yours too! It's ours!"

"I trust you too Manik!" She said softly

"Then? You should have listen to me no!" And again my grumpy face came on

"I'm sorry na! Aur main bhi kya karti? When I woke up early after a blissful night, I got to know that my boyfriend isn't at home! No text, no notes, nothing!" Oh sh!t!

I'm such an idiot! I should have left a note. Duh!

"Phir when I reached college tou those girls..." She stopped for a moment and her gaze moved down. Okay, something had happened, for sure!

"Which girls?" I frowned

"Leave it na"

"No tell me!" Now, I really wanted to know it!

"They said that you've a relation with me, you're handsome and I'm not so good-looking and have a child too" Her face fell as she pouted.

Such a baby!

"I wanted to be in your embrace that time but then I saw you with Alya--" She stopped abruptly. I have to explain her! I can't be mad just because she misunderstood everything. She was feeling guilty, she apologised! She was still with me and that what matters the most!

"Listen baby, sit here..come" She stood up and I made her sit on my lap

"People will never know how much difficulties you faced in the past! They will say what they see! They will judge things as they want to. But all that you must do is to ignore! We shouldn't let their bad words affect us! We have to be strong!" I gently caressed her lips with my thumb and she nodded sadly. I leaned closer and gave a soft peck on her warm lips

"See, you, yourself said it!" And frowns creased my forehead again. I raised my eyebrows at her, asking her to speak

"You said people will say what they see! And I just said what I saw few minutes back!" Well, she wasn't at fault either! I could understand her point of view

"Nandini, you have to trust me! Have faith in me. I won't leave you ever! Jahan tak meri aur Alya ki baat hai tou, we aren't friends now!"

"Manik, I want an explanation! Do you guys had a bet before? Boloo naa.." She nagged like a baby

"Okay, listen! Yes, that bet thing is true." I said, and tears springing to her eyes again.

"Don't cry! Shh! And listen to me carefully!" I was determined to clear everything

"Alya & I became friends, we were playing random stuffs with friends when she just bet on having you! Well I didn't know, maybe she could sense what feelings I had for you because I used to glance at you every seconds! Perhaps she thought I wanted you in my arms--you know what I mean" I said, her eyes wasn't meeting mine

Okay, I know this was embarrassing yeah..

"I didn't say anything but I did scream at her for that bullsh!t! I even stop talking to her! But when she got to know that I now had you in my house, she misunderstood it in a wrong way! She thought I did all of that just to bring you close to me & all that.. just one thing is true Nandini, that is I love you & and will always do!" I explained clearly and her eyes met mine.

"I'm sorry Manik" She gave me a tight hug, and I reciprocated equally

"It's okay!" I was supposed to be mad at her right? Or was I being too kind?

"So how are you feeling?" I asked, still hugging her

"Feeling what?" She asked

"Array, I didn't wake you up in the morning because I thought you must be tired after our hot make-out session last night! So I just left! Now how are you?" Her arms around me got tightened and I smirked

Feeling shy huh!

"I'm good! But you're not at all romantic" She broke the hug and I made a face at her

"Not romantic matlab? Kal raat ko, you weren't enjoying?" Her cheek heaten up as I asked

I just love when she blush..

"Kuch bhi haan? Not romantic matlab, you didn't leave any notes! Notes kya, you didn't even text me!" Her expression showed it all how much annoyed she was

"I forgot to.."

"Seriously? After a blissful night you didn't care about waking up your girlfriend but you just left!" I sighed as she made a grumpy face and moved her head to the other side

This girl I tell you..

"C'mon Nandini, we just patch up! Ab no gussa okay?" I thought she would listen but no..

God, why is it so difficult to manofy her?

"Manik!" She yelled and I instantly palmed my ears

"Kya hai yaar Nandu!!"

"Manik, college! We just left from there! Humein chalna chahiye." She got up but I wanted her close to me. I pulled her instantly, we both landed on the bed

"Manik kya hai?" She struggled to move but my grip was obviously strong!

"Can't we spend the day at home today? I mean.."

"No means no!! We already skip classes last week ab aur nhi!" She stood up, making me sighed.

Ye meri baat kabhi nhi sunti!

"Finee.." I stood up too, and made our way to college not before glancing at a sleeping Nidhu!

"Hi Nandini.." Alya said as I entered my class. Damn her!

"Hi" I said and sat on my seat

"So.. how are you feeling on spending days with Manik? I mean... he must be good in bed no? And you are playing your games quite well, I see!" So cheap!! How could she say that!

"You know what Alya, My relationship with Manik is pure! I don't play games around, like you! So keep your mouth shut okay!"  I sounded rude but.. never mind!

"You!! How dare you talk to me like that!" And before she could slap me, I stopped her by holding her hand

Suddenly I felt very, very much strong! I can't expect Manik to be around me all the time! I know if he would have been here, he would have protect me, unfortunately he wasn't here! But he surely wanted me to be strong! So I had to protect myself!

"Don't you dare raise your hand on me ever again! I kept quiet since long, thinking that you would atleast stop irritating me! But no, I was wrong! You're annoyed! You're jealous that Manik is giving me attention but not to you! You should go and find someone whom you would stay with, forever rather than playing games, Alya!" I jerked her hand away. Her eyes were blood red, but I didn't care!

She may be a tigress but Nandini Murthy wasn't less too!

I sat on my seat, leaving her frustrated.

Some people will never change!

"So, how was you class?" Manik asked as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders. Every students gave me weird look

"Manik chodo na! The students are staring!" I tried to moved his hand but in vain

"Nandu, I'd explained to you earlier na. Let them stare. I'm just holding the one who's mine! I love you na" He said, staring at me. I moved his hand from my shoulders and entwined our fingers 

"I love you too" I whispered, to which he smiled brightly

We made our way home, where Nidhu was impatiently waiting for us. We moved inside and found her standing at the door, with a grumpy face

"Papa mumma, mujhe apshe baat nhi krni!! You left your baby at home! Aisa koi karta hai kya?" She said, pouting, and we went 'aww' seeing her sweet antics

"My baby! I love you princess!" Manik said, picking her up in his arms "Apko pata hai, maine aur mumma ne apko kitna miss kiya haan? We love you dher saaraa!" He kissed her both cheeks, and gave her two chocolates. This brought a wide grin on her face

"Wowiee, thankuu papa" She kissed him back on his cheek

I was still standing there, admiring them. I thanked God for giving us Manik! He was our strengh and I knew, he will be there for us, forever!

Nidhu took the chocolates and went to watch Tv

"Thank you Manik" I said as a lone tear slide down my cheek

"Hey no!" He yelled-whispered and cupped my face "No tears!" He wiped my tears and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead

"And what you did with Alya, was way too great! The way you left her speechless, too good!" He grinned and I frowned

How did he get to know?

"Tumhai kaise pata chala?"

"I was passing through your class tou, I heard you! Be strong like this always, okay!" He said softly as I hugged him tightly

"Jab tak tum mere saath ho, I will be strong till forever! I love you Manik! Whenever you get into any problem, I promise you won't face them alone because I'll be there!"

"Hamesha?" He asked. I pulled away a little, glancing at him as he raised his eyebrows at me

"Hmm....." I pretended to think for a moment

"Yes! Hamesha!" I showed him my teeth, and he pulled me more into his embrace as he spoke "And I'll be there, for you too! Hamesha!"

"Mujhe bhul gaye?!!" We moved our gaze infront to found Nidhu standing, making a pout

"Array no! Come baby!" Manik gestured her to come and he picked her up in his arms, instantly. I joined in too

"I love you, both" I said kissing Manik and Nidhu on their cheek

"We love you too!" Both said in unison, and We shared a family hug
