Nandini entered the house with a very big smile on her face, her entire family was in living room waiting for her. Nandini didn't see them as she was still in Manik's daze. She was walking towards her room completely unaware abt their presence and seeing her like that abhi said loudly.

Ab-bas ek mulakat aur tum apne ghar walo ko dekh bhi nhi paa rhi ho.

Nandini's steps halted and the smile vanished seeing her family but soon a new smile spread on her face seeing her father and she immediately rushed in his arms. Falling on the couch beside his dad, Nandini rested herself on him and Akshay too took her in his arms. After settling he asked her.

A-Manik se mil k hume dekhai nhi diye?

Nan-dad not you too.

Akshay laughed but Meera came quickly beside Nandini and asked excited and curiously.

M-kaisa rha dinner.......kya baatein ki....... tum pasand aaya Manik.........teri haan hai........ Manik ne tuje kuch bola k tu usko pasand aayi..........mei Malhotra's se baat karo.

Both the father-daughter duo looked at he excited lady and chuckled, then Nandini sat straight and said in a calm tone.

Nan-mom relax..........mei jladbazi mei koi decision nhi lena chahti ho..........Manik aacha hai........but shadi k liye sirf ek meeting mei decide nhi ho skta hai........i need time.

Meera was a little disappointed while Akshay took Nandini in his arms and said extremely casually.

A-take your time.......we are in no hurry........ shadi zindagi bhar ka faisla hota hai........thoda waqt le liya toh koi harz nhi hai usmei.

Nandini smiled at his understanding dad and then both of them started talking, mostly Nandini was saying that how she reached the hotel, what she ate, how was the food, talks with Manik and all. They were busy in talking and after a while Meera and Abhi left in their room. Nandini and Akshay kept talking inspite that it was mid night.

On the other hand, after Nandini left inside, Manik couldn't stop smiling and blushing. The whole drive to his home, he was smiling. He reached home still smiling and saw that his mother and sister pacing in the living room in worry. He frowned and came to them asking.

Ma-mom.......all good........aap aise kyu chal rhi hai?

Hearing Manik nyonika immediately rushed to him and Mukti accompanied her mom. Coming close to Manik, nyonika held his shoulder and asked.

Nyo-Manik........how did the meet go........did Nandini say yes.........?

While nyonika was saying this, Shashank came out and Manik  who was worried got relaxed on hearing her questions. He stood silent more than needed that's why Mukti almost screamed in excitement.

Mu-bolo na......kuch.......Nandini pasand aayi aapko?

Manik gave a small smile and than said.

Ma-muje toh Nandini pasand hai......pehle se hi........so off course I would like this meet and it's a yes from me........what's important is her answer.

On hearing yes from Manik nyonika and Mukti hopped in their place and hugged each other. While Shashank said.

S-koi nhi.......uska bhi haan hoga........after all my son is a handsome man.

They smiled and with a hope of good news rhey all came to their bed. After changing in night suit, Manik came on bed and opened his sns. After a few mins of finding Nandini's insta id, he messaged her.

Ma-slept!

But no reply as Nandini was busy talking with her father. While Manik waited and waited for her reply. Out of curiosity he messaged her again.

Ma-are you seriously sleeping.

Still no reply. Manik was waiting for response and in that wait he scrolled to his feeds and that's when he shared a few funny quotes and videos to Nandini. Nandini was still busy in talking.

After a long time, Nandini finally decided to sleep. She came in her room, got changed and then came to the bed and that's when she remembered about her phone. She looked at it and saw a few notifications from insta.

Opening it she saw messages from Manik. She smiled on remembering him and then replied.

Nan-no........was talking to dad.

Manik who was about to give up and sleep suddenly became alert on receiving Nandini's message. He immediately replied.

Ma-ohh.......I thought you slept.

Nandini had nothing to say so she said.

Nan-hhmmm.........

On seeing her reply it kinda made the conversation to halt so Manik asked her to keep the conversation on going.

Ma-so did you enjoy the night.......I mean the dinner?

Nandini took a few seconds to reply back.

Nan-yup......dinner was nice.

Ma-yeah........you know next time I will take yo to greenland hotel.......you will enjoy the food from there as well.........

Nan-you will take me?

Her this reply made Manik doubt that would they get engaged or no but then he didn't wanted to end up so easily so he said.

Ma-yeah......we are friends off course.......and if we could get more than friends than toh mera haq banega.

Nan-haq and all haan!

Ma-off course........jaise mera haq hoga tumpe waise hi tumhara haq hoga mujpe.

Nandini blushed on this but then she had some thoughts which is why she said.

Nan-to be very honest Manik.........I need time to think about this proposal.

She sent the message and then kept typing to say her thoughts further. While Manik read this message and got a little upset.

Nan-marriage is a decision of life and I don't want to jump on it with just one dinner.

Nan-I hope you understand..........

Nan-plus things around us are complicated...... since my brother and your sister are in a relationship........I don't want are relationship to affect on them.........

Manik kept reading the message and was a bit upset. All the smile vanished and he feared of being rejected but he didn't wanted to give up so easily that's why he replied not showing his sadness.

Ma-it's okay.......take your time.

Then they chatted for a while and slept unknowingly. Next morning, Manik came down a bit sad in his office outfit. Seeing him like that nyonika got worried and asked him.

Nyo-kya hova Manik.........tu aisa udaas kyu hai?

Manik sat on his chair and Mukti too joined them. On hearing her question, Shashank too looked up from his paper and Manik said.

Ma-kaal raat ko meri Nandini se baat hovi........ she needs some time to think abt this proposal.

Both the ladies also got upset but Shashank said.

S-arey tumlog toh aise udaas ho jaise usne naa bol diya ho.........thoda waqt do usse........aur ab yeh morden zamana hai.........ladkiya ab time legi hi.

Mu-but what if usne mana kr diya toh.........

Manik immediately continued Mukti's sentence.

Ma-will it affect Mukti and Abhi's relationship too?

To which nyonika immediately replied.

Nyo-tumlog kuch bhi mat bolo.........aisa kuch nhi hoga........aur itni tension mat lo.......

Manik and Mukti simply bobbed their head and they started their day. While at Murthy mansion, Nandini got down ready to join the office from today. Seeing her getting down the stairs so casually, Meera had a hope of getting a positive reply.

Wishing everybody a cheerful morning, Nandini sat on her chair and started serving herself. Seeing her like that Meera asked with a hope.

M-Nandini decision le liya?

Nan-moooommmmm.........relax........meine time manga hai........and one night is not enough........waise bhi mei kaal raat so gayi thi..........so soch ne ka time nhi mila.

At this Akshay laughed and Nandini joined him. They hi-fied each other and then heard Meera asking.

M-toh kitna waqt chahiye tuje.

Nandini replied easily while munching her toast.

Nan-may be a month.......or a year.

M-koi tumhare liye itna nhi rukega.

Nan-that's the point........agar sach mei muje mei interest hai toh wait krna padega........ otherwise i won't feel bad if they find another girl..........right dad?

A-absolutely...........shadi krni hai toh wait krna padega.

M-aise nhi chalta hai okay.........

Meera almost yelled at them to which Nandini said calmly.

Nan-mom just relax.........why you are in so much of hurry.........

M-tum samjti nhi ho........umar nikal jane k baad aache rishte nhi milte.

Nan-so jaldbazi mei galat ladke se shadi kr lu... you mean that?

M-Manik aacha ladka hai.........

Nan-how do you know mom that he is good..... chalo maan lo k woh aacha insaan hai......... but iski kya guarantee hai k woh aacha husband bhi banega.........as a husband ek situation ko kaise handle kr skta hai do you know that....... no na........bas........so I will think of these things my way.......okay.

Meera just moved her head in giving up and they had their breakfast. Nandini headed office with the Murthy men's. Usually while driving Akshay and abhi talk abt work but today Nandini was talking abt casual stuffs and Akshay was completely involved in her and abhi was driving the car like a driver.

On reaching the office, Akshay grandly took Nandini to her cabin which had magnificent interior and on top of it, it was decorated as well. A cake was placed in front of her chair.

When she entered the office, side hugging Akshay. All the employees greeted her, gave her the bouquet and welcomed her warmly. Nandini was happy seeing so much of affection. In her cabin entered the Murthy men's and Akshay's PA and the remaining staff was at the door. Seeing the cake Nandini got out of Akshay's embrace and said while running towards the cake.

Nan-dad cake.

She looked at it properly and then searched for the knife. She was abt to cut it but stopped. Seeing her stopping Akshay asked.

A-kya hova?

Nandini smiled wide, showing him her teeth and said.

Nan-photo.........

Akshay smiled at her and Nandini quickly took a few pics and then cut the cake. She feeded the first bite to Akshay and then ate the remaining bite. Abhi was waiting for Nandini to feed him but that never came instead Nandini was busy in eating. Seeing this abhi complained cutely.

Ab-oye mera chance.

Busy munching the cake Nandini said.

Nan-serve yourself.

The staff left and Nandini kept eating the cake. Her fingers were spoilt with the cream and she even burped but didn't stop eating, until she was more than satisfied with sweet. Seeing the remaining cake Nandini said cutely to Akshay.

Nan-can we keep this cake in the fridge.

Akshay simply bobbed his head, called his PA and asked him to keep the cake safely in the fridge. Then Akshay told Nandini to come to his cabin after a while. Nandini got fresh, posted the pic of cake on insta with a caption that say.

Didn't knew that on joining the office would get a sweet treat.......yummiest cake ever.......#love for cake#first day at office

And a few more hashtags. After posting this she left for Akshay's cabin. She entered professionally. Once she was asked to get in, Nandini came in view of Akshay who asked her to take the seat.

Sitting quietly Nandini waited for Akshay who soon handed her a few files and explained the work related to it that would be handled by Nandini henceforth. Understanding everything Nandini left the cabin to start her professional life.

On the other hand, Manik's phone pinged. He wouldn't have seen if Nandini's name wouldn't have caught his attention. On seeing her post he understood about her first day. He asked his PA to send a beautiful bouquet for Nandini and he himself had written something on card.

Nandini received the bouquet and read on the card that said.

Welcome to the business world. Happy for you and always their to help you. 😉.

Nandini smiled at it, smelled the flowers and then focused back on her work.
