Where in the house the mother daughter were enjoying their Xbox time, the father reached the office and called up Shashank long back. He informed him about Nandini's thought of meeting Manik to get to know each other better.

Both the father's together decided a meeting point for their kids. Ending the call with each other, both the husband informed their wife about their kids meeting in evening and both the mother's informed their kids about their dinner meet.

Time seemed to pass slowly for Manan as they both were partially curious to meet each other. For Nandini reasons were unknown as she felt that falling for Manik is too early at this stage. Anyways she was ready to meet him.

The time passed and it was 8.00 pm. Manik reached home from office and immediately rushed to get ready and reach on time. Nyonika and Mukti were with Manik after 15 mins of his arrival.

The trio were in room, with Manik in his towel. The trio were deciding his outfit so that he can look the best today. They have rejected almost all of his clothes.

While Nandini on the other hand entered her shower cabinet at 8.00 pm and had a quick yet peaceful bath. Coming out in her bathrobe, she opened her cupboard and in a swift picked out the outfit for the meet.

Getting ready in a casual way, to not look too eager or desperate for the wedding and not too low to appear as uninterested in him. She was prefectly ready on time. Taking her belongings she came downstairs and met her parents who were not getting tired from wishing her luck.

With the driver she left towards the decided hotel. While Manik got ready after lots of hustle and bustle and reached 10 mins early then the decided time. He didn't wanted to appear as a careless person.

Coming in, the manager escorted him to their reserved chair. Sitting on it royally, Manik was tapping his foot in the anxiety of waiting and the butterfly feeling of meeting Nandini again and this time alone.

Nandini just reached on time, the manager escorted her too, towards Manik. Seeing her from far a big smile came on Manik's lips and he got up to welcome Nandini but he looked at her and found her to be a Greek goddess in the attire. He had no words to describe her beauty.

Nandini was walking looking around but on reaching close to the table, she saw Manik getting up from his place. Seeing him. Her heart skipped a beat and for moment she got self conscious and nervous but she managed to cover it up.

She reached the table and manager left after passing a smile to both of them. Manan were left alone and suddenly they felt short of words or topic as this was the first time they are meeting alone.

They are neither friends nor casual about seeing each other regularly but they had to talk to kill the awkwardness and that's why Manik spoke first with a sweet smile on his face.

Ma-hie.........

Nandini's gaze were fixed on Manik's face only. Hearing him she too smiled and replied.

Nan-hie...........

Again awkward silence crept btwn them. They were just looking at each other and smiling faintly like a fool. Standing for 2 mins being completely clueless, Manik again said.

Ma-should we sit?

Nan-hhmm..........

Nandini immediately hhmmed and bobbed her head in yes. She moved to sit on the opposite chair as Manik was standing just beside his chair. As she moved, Manik with big steps came to her side and pulled the chair for her.

Nandini liked his this gesture. She sat carefully on the chair and Manik adjusted the chair for her further. Nandini smiled at his gesture and Manik sat on his chair. Having nothing to talk, Manik again asked.

Ma-should we............

Nandini looked at him when he spoke and heard Manik.

Ma-should we........order something.

Nan-hm..........

She replied in a non audible "hmm" and then Manik looked for a waiter around. Nandini was observing his behaviour of calling for a waiter. While when a waiter's gaze fell on Manik, Manik with the blink of his eye called him.

It was polite gesture by him towards the people, low from his status. Anyways the waiter arrived on the table and asked him.

W-yes sir?

Ma-can we have the menu plz.

W-sure...........

The menu was bought to their table soon and Manik handed it to Nandini.

Ma-please order what ever you are comfortable with.

Nan-but your choice?

Ma-I will be comfortable with you.........I mean your choice.

Nandini agreed silently and then took the world's time to order a complete meal. While for Manik, he made himself busy on her face, firstly on her expressions to the way she was looking at everything dish and then her lips. They way it moved to place the order. He just couldn't find a way back from Nandini's land.

After Nandini was done, she kept the menu and looked at Manik again who instantly stopped openly admiring her. The silence again occurred between them which Manik finished it very quickly.

Ma-Nandini..........first off all..........just forget this dinner meet as alliance meet..........let's get comfortable with each other..........hum ek dusre ko pasand kr ya nhi.........is a later thing............let's just be friends.........even if we don't get into a relationship.

Nandini got a bit relaxed which can be read on her face while Manik spoke further.

Ma-let me just tell you..........this..........I like you and would want to get married to you......... BUT...........but it's a later thing..........there is no force to you..........even if you don't want this relationship..........we will always be friends.

Nan-will it be so easy for you to stay friends post rejection?

Manik looked at her with blank eyes but then said.

Ma-it would be a shame to be rejected by such a beauty..........but I will manage.

And he acted of punching his broken heart and on this Nandini laughed whole heartedly as his expressions were quiet cute. Seeing her laughing Manik smiled and adored her face once again. Getting back to normal Nandini said.

Nan-let's not focus on my answer..........and spent this dinner as a casual one's..........my answer will be after 2 days.........I mean at least I need 2 days to come to a conclusion.

Ma-that means I have 2 days and this dinner to have my impression on you.

Nandini tried hard to control her blush while Manik saw it, he smiled and said.

Ma-relax.........just joking and pulling your legs like friends.

Nandini bobbed her head and then they started talking like friends. Nandini never realised that how easily she was talking with Manik. They were talking about the times of Mukti and abhi hidden relationships.

Nandini was talking about her best friends in Mumbai and friends in New York. In btwn their conversation, their meal was served and they were enjoying it along with sharing their experience with different food as well.

They never realised their time with each other, they laughed, they hified, they got to knew each other, they even exchanged their numbers. They wouldn't have come out to reality had the waiter not come to clean their table and ask for desserts.

Wanting to spend some more time with each other they decided to call fir dessert as well. Looking at the menu once again, Manan were about to decide their own order. Manik was the first one to order.

Ma-a blueberry pie..........

Nandini looked at him a little bewildered and asked.

Nan-you like the combination of sweet and sour?

Ma-yup it's fun.........

Nandini shrugged and called for a cake for herself. Soon their orders were served but before their orders were on their table Nandini had shared her list of dessert experience and have suggested Manik to try some of her experiences.

On receiving their order, they started relishing on it. At one point Nandini said, breaking a bite from her fork, then with spoon, adding Choclate sauce on it and the nuts accordingly. Preparing the bite, she got it close to Manik's lips and said.

Nan-you should try this..........this is heaven.

On seeing her feeding him, Manik was on 7th sky. His eyes started sparkling in happiness and he quickly had the bite forwarded by her. Though he was quick but he didn't appear desperate and her dessert actually tasted heaven.

Manik's heart were already bursting crackers. They completed their food too and finally it was time to leave. Manik removed his card and forwarded to the waiter so that the bills can be paid. At the same time Nandini forwarded her card too. Seeing that Manik spoke.

Ma-Nandini it's not needed..........

Nan-plz don't get offended but.........I mean as Murthy...........but it's not a rule that boys pay for every dinner or meal.

Ma-true..........but it's a treat from my side for our friendship.

Nan-treat mei bhi de skti ho.

Ma-but

They were disturbed by the waiter who spoke in btwn the 2.

W-aapke bills clear ho chuke hai.........phele se hi.

Both frowned at this information and looked at the waiter and then together asked.

Nan/ma-kisne pay kiya?

W-wohi jisne reservations ki thi.

Manan agreed to it and finally got up to leave from the hotel. While walking towards the exit, Nandini saw the time to be 11.15 pm. That means that she spent 2 hours and 15 mins with Manik just at a dinner.

Usual dinners don't last for more than an hour. Anyways she reached outside the hotel to see her driver opening the door for her. She was abt to head towards her car but was stopped by Manik who spoke being beside her.

Ma-Nandini..........please can I drop you........ I mean you have a car but just a chivalry........ and friends..........you denied for me to pick you up but at least I can drop you..........

Nan-but you must be tired...........I mean you had a long day at office.

Ma-but I am enjoying spending time with you.

Silence occurred btwn them once again but after a min Manik spoke.

Ma-please say yes.

Nandini was in a fix she wanted to say yes but she was feeling the she will simply tire Manik but then giving into her heart, she blinked her eyes making Manik happy and then said to her driver.

Nan-aap jaiye..........mei bhi aa rhi ho.

Driver bobbed his head in yes and closed the door while Manik asked Nandini to walk as his car was behind Nandini's. The valet was waiting to open the door for Manik while Manik opened the door for Nandini and closed it once she sat comfortably on the passenger seat.

He thanked the valet and soon drove towards Murthy mansion. The drive was smooth and peaceful. Manan got chance to talk a bit more but while talking Nandini had her focus on Manik's driving and she was highly impressed.

In no time they reached the destination. Parking the car outside the door of Murthy mansion, Nandini was all set to get down but then stopped and asked.

Nan-andar aaoge..........for a cup of coffee or so?

Manik smiled and replied.

Ma-some other time........and maybe a bit early in evening.........I am sure abhi and uncle must have a long day at work.........let's not disturb them.

Nandini liked his concern too. She gave a positive expression and opened the door to go but stopped and said sweetly.

Nan-jaise aacha dance krte ho..........waise hi aachi driving bhi kr lete ho.

Saying this she ran away from the car and entered the house leaving behind a happy and blushing Manik.
