Chapter 17- I trust you!

"I love you!" Nandini mumbled in between the kiss. Manik opened his eyes with jerk. He sat up back, looking elsewhere but not at her. Without speaking a word, he took his clothes from the cupboard and went inside the washroom. She frowned and woke up, resting her back on the bed board

After a few minutes he came back. He looked fresh, he had just taken a shower

He stared at Nandini, who was busy ogling at him. They went a little too far today, and he knew he had to speak.

"Woh, tumhare kisi assistant ka call aaya tha, last night. You were asleep toh I answered the call. He asked about you so I told him you're here with me. He asked if I'm the one who you call as your boyfriend., I said yes." He said in a go and sighed

"Hmm.. must be Neel. He knows!" Nandini mumbled.

"Nandini, I.." He started as he sat beside her. He wanted to apologise of what he did.

"No. Don't feel sorry. I trust you! This moment was the best moment of my life, honestly!" She whispered and he looked at her ever so sweetly

She trust him unconditionally..

"I want to be with you Manik. I need you, please hold my hand" She forwarded her palm infront of him, hoping that he would hold her hand

But before he could speak, there was a knock at the door

"Bhaiya?" It was Suhasi. She didn't know about Nandini staying in their home

"Yeah, coming!" Manik answered and went to open the door.

Nandini was watching his action. She wasn't happy as Suhasi broke their moment. She so wanted to be with him!

As soon Manik opened the door, Suhasi hugged him tightly. Manik was taken aback

"Bhaiyaa" She whined, tighten her arms around him while Nandini fisted the bedsheets tightly as ever

Was she getting jealous?

"What happen baby bear?" Manik reciprocated the hug.

"Bhaiya, I had a bad dream! Please never leave me, I'll die.." She said, still her voice chocked with emotions

"Arre, main yahin hoon, tumhare sath! I'll never leave you. Shh!! Baby bear! bas, stop crying!" He kissed her hair numerous times to comfort her. Meanwhile Nandini went inside the washroom to brush. She was feeling low though

After about 10 minutes, Suhasi pulled apart. She seemed to be okay now.

Manik wiped her tears. She smiled at him and moved her gaze to the bed, she was surprised to find Nandini coming out from his washroom!

"You?" Suhasi gasped. And before Manik could explain, Nandini spoke "Yes me, Manik's girlfriend!" Nandini said with a smile, while coming forward to her

"Girlfriend?" She looked at Manik, totally flustered

"Baby bear, I'll explain to you later okay? Abhi jao, freshen up." She nodded, leaving the two alone

"Why did you tell her that you're my girlfriend? Zarurat kya thi?" He snapped at her

"What do yo mean zarurat kya thi? She must know na, sister hai tumhari. Toh.."

"Toh kya haan? Miss Kashyap, you should seriously get on some brain!"

"Oh really? Why are you getting so hyper Manik? Maine kya galat bola? Am I not your girlfriend? Wait a minute! Are you playing with me? Wi-with my feelings?" She asked as tears brimmed in her eyes

Manik shook his head "Nandini.."

"Go to hell, Mr Malhotra!!" She yelled on him, and went inside the washroom again, and closed it form inside

"Nandini, open the door! Open the door god dammit" He banged at the door but she didn't give any response

He sighed and decided to wait for her until she herself came back outside

10 minutes..

12 minutes...

20 minutes...

After exactly 30 minutes, the washroom door clicked opened. Manik was still sitting on the bed, waiting for her.

She came out, wearing a shirt of Manik! He stood up, with his eyes wide opened. She was mad at him few minutes back now what got into her that she wore his shirt? He marched closer to her while she was looking downwards

She was feeling little shy, wasn't she?

"What the heck is this?" Manik said, still sternly and frowns creased Nandini's forehead. She so wanted him to be polite with her, as well as romantic but how could she forget that he would always be a jerk

"You're impossible! Jerk!" She pushed him and was about to walk away but he held her arm and pinned her back to the wall

"Kya hai Manik? I didn't had my clothes with me. So I wore your shirt, agar problem hai toh I'll.." She kept on talking when he stopped her by placing a finger on her lips

"Shh!" He whispered, and then placed his hands in the both either sides on the wall so that she wouldn't escape

"I shouldn't have shouted on you. But it doesn't look nice! See, you tell Baby bear so quickly about you being my girlfriend. Main khud batana chahta tha usko. Now she must be feeling low! She would assume that I lied to her, since days! And.. I don't want my baby bear to be upset with me. I love her alot!" He explained cleanly while her eyes didn't leave his

"I'm sorry! I'll make everything alright. Trust me!" She said back, "But, you made me upset! You should make it up, right now! Else I won't talk to you" She pouted at him and he smiled at her cute antics

"What do you want?" He asked,

"I want you to..." She leaned closer to his face

"To....?" He seemed to be lost in her

"To pamper me always, like you just did to Suhasi" She said, leaning back on the wall

"What?!" He let out a chuckle "Nandini, pampering? Seriously? You're not a kid okay!" He was laughing and this annoyed her.

"Why is the need to laugh? I didn't crack any joke okay? Fine then, don't talk to me." She crossed her arms around her chest, but then she was pulled in his arms almost instantly

"Shh! Baby, itna gussa health ke liye thik nhi hoti." He caressed her hair, smilingly. He knew he had to make it up, for her!

He wanted to make her smile.

"I love you.." She again confessed, tightening the hold around him. She was having a genuine smile on her face.

"Goodmorning!" Nandini said as she sat next to Suhasi who exchanged a smile with her. Manik came afterwards and took a seat

"You're wearing his clothes?" She asked pointing at Nandini clothes which were of Manik. She was wearing his simple trousers and a shirt

"Kyun? Can't I wear them?" Nandini asked, making a pout. She wanted to be friendly with her

"No, I mean.."

"Actually, I didn't have my clothes with me and last night. I was.." Nandini was going to complete but Manik made an interruption

"Baby bear, Nandini had come to our place to meet me, last night as she had some personal isues. You were already asleep toh I didn't want to disturb you." Manik spoke casually while taking a bite from the toast

"But yeh.. I mean, when did she become your girlfriend, bhaiya? Why did you hide it from me?" Manik stayed quiet for a minute. He didn't know what to reply and Suhasi wanted an explanation

"Suhasi.." Nandini started "Actually, even we didn't realise it when we--fell for each other" She said hesitantly, eyeing at Manik

"It all happened all of a sudden! Aisi badi baat thodi na tumse chupayega. He wanted to tell you but, maine hi jaldi jaldi mein.. but please don't be upset with him. You know, he loves you very much!" Nandini spoke all so sweetly making Suhasi smile

"You're very kind and pretty too!" She said

"Aisa kya? Tum mujhse zyada pretty ho!" She side hugged Suhasi who seemed totally comfortable with her

Here Neel was checking the CCTV camera of all the sides of the mansion when he caught the sight of Manik!

The same time when Manik had dropped Nandini home. He zoomed the video to get a clearer view of him. He had a doubt that he'd seen him somewhere!

He quickly removed the pic from the drawer. It was the same pic of Manik which his detective, Mr Aadit had given him few weeks back

It was him! The same person who had a relationship with Vishni years back! He got nervous, worried, for Nandini!

"It was him who answered the call, last night! He said he's Manik! He's the same guy, Manik Malhotra! No! He's surely behind Nandini for a purpose! He isn't a nice guy! I should tell Nandini about his true intentions and I will!" He mumbled to himself, pressing his lips in vexation. He was determined to tell Nandini. He couldn't let her stay with Manik, not anymore!

"Hello?" Nandini answered the call as she was wearing her top. She was now in her own same clothes. She was going out to shop for herself

"Nandini....ma'am."

"Hey Neel!" She said

"Yeah.. I have--something very important to tell you, Nandini" Nandini sensed that something was wrong cause he called her by her name, which he rarely did

"What happen?" She asked worriedly "Is dad ok-okay?" She was indeed worried for her dad

"Yes, he's totally fine!" She sighed

"Then?"

"It's about Manik Malhotra, the one who is your boyfriend" She frowned

"Tum kya bolna chahte ho Neel? Are you saying that I'm wrong? You're taking dad's side now, right?" She huffed

"No. I'm not taking anyone's side! But I want to talk to you, about him! He isn't a nice guy! He'd had approached you, for a very necessary purpose!" He said almost immediately

"What? Neel..."

"I can't tell you everything on phone. We have to meet! I'll be waiting for you at the 'Palace restaurant'.."

"I won't come. I don't want to listen any bad thing about him." She spoke, sternly

"I'll still be waiting." He said and cut the call

"This is too much! Can't Neel see me happy? Why does my every close one have to be against me? Problem kya hai Manik mein? Just because he's not so rich doesn't mean ke they'll talk nonsense about him! I won't tolerate it." She yelled-whispered, grabbed her purse and went out of the guest room

"Bhaiya.. look at me! You have to tell me everything! You've been with many girls! But please tell me that you're not playing around with her. She seems to be serious about you!" Suhasi said, making Manik sighed

Both where in Manik's room

"Baby bear, I.." He started but wthen closed his mouth again.

"She loves you! Don't break her heart! If you're with her because you want to take revenge then please don't! Don't spoil her life!" Suhasi's voice was stern. She knew for what Manik had approached her

"Listen--" He couldn't complete as Nandini knocked the door. Suhasi marched forward and opened the door. Nandini then looked at Suhasi who was smiling at her

"Oh.. I just.. sorry. I interrupted you guys.."

"No, it's okay. We were just having a brother-sister simple conversation. You say?" Suhasi liked Nandini, for sure!

"Woh main.. I'm going out. I've to get my clothes. So.. bye." She said, eyeing on Manik who nodded

"You want me to come along?" He asked

"No its--it's ok--okay." She spoke hesitantly. She smiled faintly at Suhasi and went out, while Suhasi glared at Manik

"What?" Manik asked raising his eyebrows at her

"She's going alone, bhaiya! Didn't you see? She wanted you to come with her! But nhi, aap toh.."

"But she said--"

"I could see in her eyes! She want you come along with her. Bhaiya.."

"Yeah.. okay.." He flapped his hands in air before marching out.

Here Nandini was coming out when a lady in her 30s, came to the gate.

"Excuse me" she said while Nandini looked at her with confusion

"I'm Mrs Singh. I live to the next side of the way. Can you give this to Manik?" She forwarded a photo frame infront of her but the frame was inversely turned so Nandini couldn't see the picture

"Actually there's a photo studio down the road there. I was passing by there and the studio was closing. They asked me to give this to Manik." She explained cleanly

"Uhmm sure, I'll give it to him." Nandini took the frame in her hands

"Thank you." She thanked her before going away.

Nandini turned to the door to give it to Manik but she thought of checking the picture.

As soon she turned the photo frame,

There it was, a picture of Manik & Vishni! They were young, teenagers. They were standing, close. Manik had his shoulders around hers.

Nandini's eyes were widened, she was stunned, numb, surprised, frozen at her place.
