Chapter 10.

"Baby bear, why are you getting so narky?" Manik asked to Suhasi, who just plastered a grumpy face. It was evening already and both brother & sister were having their time together

"That Aditya!! He'd found a girlfriend" She replied annoyingly, placing the coffee on the table. She sat next to Manik.

"So? What's big deal?" He said, sipping his coffee

"What's a big deal??! Really?? Bhaiya, his girlfriend, Kanika is just stupid and totally..argh!! She don't love him, I know!" She said sternly

"And why are you getting so worried about Aditya? It's his choice, whoever he wants to make his girlfriend." Manik said casually but Suhasi just bit her lower lip. Aditya had a girlfriend, and she was actually feeling bad about it! She did have a special feeling towards Aditya, didn't she?

"Uhm...just forget that. Bhaiya, you tell me., when are you going to find someone?" She grinned at a confuse Manik. He raised his eyebrows at her

"Your girlfriend!" Suhasi held his hand and added "Enough of roaming with different girls now. Bhaiya, forget Vishni, let her go. Move on from her and go find someone you love! Someone you sincerely love! Someone who will love you more than her life. Someone who will be there by your side!" She spoke ever so lovingly but Manik just chuckled at her words

"Baby bear, you know what, you should stop watching TV serials because my little sister is speaking like the TV actresses only." He laughed, making Suhasi furious once again!

"You know what, talk don't to me" She stood up from her chair but just then Manik held her hand.

"Again gussa huh?" He pulled her a little to himself and made her sit on his lap "My dear little sister, you know how much I love you no? I'm so blessed to have you in my life! If you wouldn't have been by my side then I guess, I would have died long way back"

"Shh!! Stop it no!!!" Suhasi whined like a baby "Don't make me emotional!!"

"Okay, okay baba.." He kissed her forehead "I love you baby bear"

"I love you too bhaiya" He smiled and She gave a tight kiss on his right cheek

"Ahemrh.." They heard someone, they moved their head to the front and found, Nandini!

Nandini's Pov

I didn't want to get inside but then no one was coming to see me! I knocked atleast 4 times but still! When I entered inside, the house was not so small instead it was perfect! Simply beautiful! I heard some sounds. I marched forward where the sounds were coming from and what I saw, made me go 'Aww!' Suhasi in Manik's lap, both talking with each other ever so cutely! A smile crept on my face but at the same time, I felt something!

I don't know what was it but it did hurt me a little! and I just didn't know why!! She was just his sister, and he had the right to give her love and affection!

But somewhere, I too, wanted this love! This affection, which I might never get in my life..

"You..here?" Suhasi stood up instantly and went to greet her but Manik remained seated

"Nandini, right?! But you here? Come take a seat" Suhasi dragged her near Manik, who was still at his place. Nandini stared at him but he got busy with his phone

"Woh, actually I knocked but no one came.., and the door was already opened so, I just came inside.." Nandini replied hesitantly

"Ms Kashyap, you shouldn't just enter someone else home like this! I guess you already know that!" Manik said, still looking in his phone

"Bhaiya!!" Suhasi mumbled, he looked at her.

"There's a guest at home!!" She glared at him, but he just shrugged and got busy in his phone, again!

Nandini was boiling with fury. Ofcourse, she would, afterall Manik didn't even greet her!

"I think someone is not liking my presence here, so I'll leave. I just came to give this." She forwarded a handkerchief which belongs to Manik

"Oh, this belongs to bhaiya na! How did this reach to you?" Suhasi asked, making a totally confuse expression

"Manik, you left this on the bench itself and I don't like keeping others stuffs so. Here take it" She kept the handkerchief on the table. Manik nodded but still not glancing at her while Suhasi was still having confusion

Nandini's Pov

"I should leave now." I said, but he wasn't even giving me a glance! I didn't let him kiss me before so..Was he mad at me? Seriously? Because of that 'kiss' thing?? Such a jerk he is! Arhgrh!

Just when I was about to turn away, Suhasi stopped me, just Suhasi!

Pov ends.

"Wait no, you came in our home for the first time. I'll make coffee for you, you sit here, I'll be right back" She didn't gave Nandini a chance to speak and just rushed to the kitchen to prepare a cup of coffee

Nandini moved her gaze everywhere but not at Manik. She didn't take the seat, perhaps she was waiting for Manik to speak!

After sometime,Manik broke the silence

"So Ms Kashyap, you were missing me that much that you couldn't resist and came here to see me" Manik said with a smirk

"Mr Malhotra, you like assuming things which are not true right!" She shook her head and continued "I just said that I came to give you back your handkerchief! Didn't you hear me out?" Manik stared at her, the way her lips moved while talking, the way her expression changed withing seconds.. was so distracting him

"I didn't want to enter your house either but then I even knocked at the door before coming but you didn't came to see me! Oh, you were busy with Suhasi so, maybe that's why.." Her face fell a little, remebering how Manik was pampering Suhasi

A frowned creased Manik's forehead as he noticed her expression. He gave an evil smirk. Without thinking twice, he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him. She landed in his lap and he instantly wrapped his hands around her waist

"You don't have to be jealous" He said, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear while she was startled by his act. She took atleast minutes to register his words

"Jealous? Excuse me! Why would I be jealous? I mean, Suhasi is just your sister and.."

"Exactly! And I know when you saw us like this.." He gestured her in their position "You were feeling kinda different right? Even you want someone to pamper you like I pamper baby bear, haina?" He said in a sweet tone, Nandini looked shocked, bewildered! Manik was being sweet! Was this a dream or what?!

"And see, now that you're in my lap, you're lost in me!" Nandini gazed at his intense eyes, which speaks thousands of feelings! She took a minute to realise of what he was talking about

"What! Are you saying that, I'm feeling good, sitting in your lap?" And again, her grumpy face came in

"Ofcourse" His hands around her waist tightened

"Oh puhleaseee... keep your flirty mind in control okay! And you were ignoring me too! Why? Just because I didn't let you kiss me." She snapped at him, trying to get out of his grip

"What? Are you still with that? I mean, I thought you won't even think of that 'good-bye kiss' thing! But I guess, I was wrong" He grinned and pulled her more closer "Now that you still had that thing in your mind, why don't we complete this at this moment only.." He whispered huskily, making her all weak.

"Manik" She moved but only to be pulled back

"Shh! Don't spoil it" He mumbled as he caressed her lips with his thumb.

"But this is not the right place!" She plamed his mouth and added "Why don't you find a good place first huh? This is going too quick and I don't want my first kiss to be like this and not with you!" She said annoyingly, as Manik moved her hand from his mouth

"What! First kiss?! Are you serious?? No, you must be kidding right?" He let out a chuckle. Nandini was about to speak further but, Suhasi's voice made her stopped

"Manik, leave me" She instantly stood up and sat in the other chair

"Here's your coffee" She smiled at her, and take a sip of the coffee

"That's nice!" She complicated Suhasi as the coffee had a good taste. Suhasi gave a smile in return and mumbled a "Thank you"

"Obviously it would be nice no, Suhasi made it and afterall, she's MY sister!" Manik weared his famous smirk but Nandini just rolled her eyes at him and drank the coffee

"Okay, I should leave now. Bye" She stood up and marched towards the door

"Bye, hope to see you soon" Suhasi waved her a goodbye

"I also hope so...," Manik grinned at her in a naughty way.

"Oh, my phone is ringing, excuse me" Suhasi rushed inside, leaving MaNan alone.

"Bye, Mr Malhotra" Nandini said in a formal tone. She was annoyed with him.

He leaned closer to her ears and whispered "And I really wish to have that 'good-bye kiss' soon, Ms Kashyap" He said in a hoarse whisper, making her breathing wild, but then she composed herself.

She moved aways from him and spoke, "Handsome guy with a flirty mind! You'll never change & always remain a jerk!" She shook her head in disbelief and left the place, leaving a smirking Manik behind.

"You can't resist me Nandini.., even if you want to, you can't! I surely have an effect on you, Yes!" A slight, crooked smile turned up his lips..
