This was the first time he bought someone other than cabir to his house... and this was certainly going to be a long day...

In the living room...

Ayaan was super energetic... he was going round and round or going towards the bookshelf and trying to take the book while standing on his toes because it was way above his height...

Nandini: Jaan that's dangerous... come back and play here... she said pointing towards the sofa...

Ayaan pouted... he really wanted to look around more...

Nandini knew he wasn't going to listen so she took a step forward to catch him...

Ayaan skilfully dodged her hands and ran towards his uncle...

He hid behind him holding the hem of Manik's boxers... he then peeked out a little just to stick his tongue out making Manik chuckle...

Nandini narrowed her eyes at them... she walked towards Manik and tried to get hold of Ayaan but he ran away again making nandu frown...

She took another step towards Ayaan but was stopped by Manik... she looked at his hand which was holding her wrist...

Manik: let him play...

Nandini: No, he will get injured...

Manik: he is just a kid... let him learn from pain... he said looking into her eyes making nandu uncomfortable...

A soft thump woke them up...

Ayaan: wuu wuu... Mumma... he cried out... nandu widened her eyes and shook Manik's hand away, she ran towards Ayaan who was now sitting on the ground holding his toe...

Nandu took Ayaan into her arms and patted his head while Ayaan cried out in her neck...

Ayaan: Mumma... pain, pain...

Nandini: shh, baby... it's ok... she spoke patting his back...

Nandini: it's all your fault... she spoke looking at manik in anger...

Manik: god!! Really Nandini... he spoke in disbelief while going near her...

Nandini: do you have a first aid... she said ignoring "him" and sat on "his" sofa in "his" house...

Manik silently went and bought the first aid...

Nandu made the crying Ayaan sit in her lap... Ayaan's face was red with tears...

Seeing this nandu was distressed, she almost wanted to call the ambulance...

Manik came and sat on the sofa in front of them... he handed the first aid to nandu...

Nandu carefully lifted Ayaan's small foot to see a tiny amount of blood leaking from his wound... seeing that Ayaan cried even more...

Nandu slowly disinfected the wound while Ayaan hugged her burying his head in her chest...

Nandu then bandaged her foot with a white gauze... looking at the final result nandu nodded in satisfaction...

Manik looked at the exaggerated bandage which was clearly uncomfortable for Ayaan to walk...

Manik: and do you think he can walk with that... he pointed out but nandu chooses to ignore him...

Nandu: there is no need for him to walk... I will carry him... she spoke coldly...

Manik: Ok, I understand you are overprotective about him and all... but seriously... he will have to learn to stand up by himself... you can't shield him for eternity...

Nandu: yes, I can... and I will... she spoke in a no more discussion tone...

Manik sighed and kneeled down in front of nandu who was bewildered by the sight...

Manik: hey kiddo... look at me... he spoke softly ignoring Nandini who frowned...

Manik: is it paining... he asked while taking his foot in his hand...

Nandini: what do you think you are doing... she spoke angrily...

Manik: shh... 5 minutes... he put his finger on her lips stopping her from speaking...

Nandini: You, you!!

*This ROGUE... he actually dares to put his finger on MY lips...*

He pressed his finger making nandu mad... although she did stop talking, she didn't stop glaring him... he then removed his finger and proceeded to take the scissors...

*her lips were soft...* he thought randomly as he slowly cut the gauze...

Manik: look kiddo, you are a strong man... ok... and men don't cry over such a small injury... right...

Ayaan just bobbed his head...

Manik: see that's my boy... he said rewrapping the wound now correctly...

He then took Ayaan's hand and gestured him to come down...

Ayaan looked at Nandini who was now a little calm...

* it's true... I can't protect him every time...*

She thought as she nodded her head at him...

Ayaan slowly slid his good foot down before extra slowly keeping his bad one... he wobbled a bit due to the pain but Manik caught both of his hands...

Manik: yes, that's my kiddo... he said kissing his forehead making Ayaan smile a little... Ayaan wrapped both his arms around Manik's neck... Manik stood up with Ayaan in his arms... he had a small but genuine smile on his face...

*ring, ring...

Nandu: excuse me... she muttered grumpily looking at the duo...

Her son actually forgot about her... damn why is it that every time she was the only one drinking vinegar...

Phone convo...

Ishi: Nandu, sorry but you need to come back to Naaya entertainments... someone hacked into your background... she spoke while nandu's eyes turned cold...

Nandu: Alright... I will come... she spoke and cut the call...

She then went to see Manik and Ayaan looking outside the window while Manik was explaining about the places...

Nandu: Jaan, let's go baby... its time... she spoke while collecting her stuff... Ayaan pouted hearing that...

Ayaan: Mumma please... let's stay for some more time... please na... he pleaded while nandu sighed...

Nandu: Ayaan please... we can visit your uncle again... now let's go home... she spoke while Ayaan hugged Manik even tighter...

Seeing this Manik sighed...

Manik: Ayaan, kiddo... your uncle will come to meet you when he is free ok... it's already late... and you have to eat your lunch too... he spoke while Ayaan pouted...

Ayaan: Then, then promise me you will come to meet me when you have time... he spoke making Manik look at him... Ayaan extended his small palm forward...

Manik hesitated a little before putting his hand on top oh Ayaan's...

Manik: alright promise... he spoke making Ayaan hug him tightly...

Nandini: alright... let's go... she said picking up Ayaan in her arms and walked out of the room without turning back...

Manik looked at his hand...

Promise ha... never thought Manik Malhotra would make one...

he thought as he smiled tauntingly.

nandu carrying a sleeping Ayaan walked straight into her office then into the spare room... she slowly and carefully laid him down making sure that she doesn't touch his injury... seeing her enter Ishika too followed nandu only to see her cuddle bunny injured...

Ishika: nandu what happened... she whispered not wanting to wake Ayaan up...

Nandini: he fell... she said calmly... seeing this Ishika was bewildered...

Ayaan fell... but that was not the issue... it's just that nandu was very protective of him so there would be zero to no chance of Ayaan getting injured when nandu was around... and even then if he did fall, nandu would have summoned an ambulance for even the tiniest injuries... but here she was in tucking Ayaan to bed... no hustle-bustle... no ambulance...

they both then went out of the room...

Ishika: are you ok nandu... she asked being more concerned about Nandini...

Nandini: I am fine... perfectly fine... she said smiling which made Ishika shiver...

she definitely isn't fine...

Nandini: so who was the one who hacked my account... she asked while taking a wipe and rubbing it over her lips...

Ishika: umm... it was Cabir Dhawan... she said making nandu halt her cleaning...

Nandini: is it so...

Ishika: Although, he didn't get much information about your past... he did get some details about when you started this company... it isn't much of a use to him though... but he has been trying to crack the locks on your past... she spoke waiting for nandu's reaction...

Nandini's eyes dimmed...

Nandini: since they were the ones to start this... shouldn't we at least give them a final blow... she spoke with a small smirk...
