Recap!

"What the fuck are you here for!" Nandini spoke coldly making Manik pause in his tracks.

He looked at the door to see a man around his height standing in front of Nandini with an ashamed look.

"Get out." She spoke with a deadpan voice.

"Look Nandini, I just-"

"I don't know which part of 'Get out' do you not understand. The get or the out?" Nandini spoke rubbing her forehead while Manik pressed his lips into a tight-lipped smile to hide his chuckle.

"I just want to talk with you please." The man pleaded while Nandini showed no response.

"Nandini, please. Just listen to me this once, I promise I will go away from your life permanently." He spoke with a vulnerable voice.

Manik who couldn't control his curiosity went near Nandini tiptoed.

Nandini raised her brow at him while Manik smiled sheepishly.

The man frowned at Manik recognizing who he was.

"Why is Manik Malhotra here? What's happening?" He asked Nandini who frowned at the man.

"It's none of your business."

"Because I am her boyfriend." Both Nandini and Manik answered at a time.

Nandini was as flabbergasted as the man.

"What!?" The man spoke bringing Nandini to earth.

Nandini narrowed her eyes at Manik who averted his eyes. She elbowed his arm.

"That was the safest way to get rid of the situation otherwise wouldn't he think we are in another kind of relation," Manik whispered to her with justification in his voice.

"You acted in too many movies," Nandini whispered back rolling her eyes and hitting his arm with her elbow again while Manik pouted.

I will deal with Manik later. First, she needs to get rid of this guy.

She thought looking at the man.

"Who is he?" Manik asked in return.

"Manik, he is my ex-fiancee, Abhimanyu Singh." She introduced Abhimanyu to Manik who raised both his brows in shock and made an 'Oo' sound which made her chuckle.

"Manik take Ayaan and go upstairs." She ordered while Manik unwillingly moved towards the living room.

"I don't have much time so make it fast," Nandini spoke while Abhimanyu who finally received her attention nodded his head.

They entered the living room to see Ishika standing near the stairs gazing at Abhimanyu coldly.

Nandini assumed Manik took Ayaan up and sat on the sofa. Abhimanyu too awkwardly sat down.

"Spill."

"Look, Nandini I am really sorry." He started while Nandini showed her palm gesturing him to stop.

"I don't want to hear that shit. Tell me why are you here?"

"Nandini please let me confess." He pleaded while Nandini frowned.

Yes, she did want to know why he ran away. She wanted him to confess to her but that was 5 years back. Now, she isn't interested to know about his stupid reasons.

"I am getting married." He confessed while Nandini's heart pained a little.

Why are you telling me this!? Why!!!

She thought but didn't speak a word.

"I wanted to let you know that I really liked you back then, but I wasn't prepared for the responsibilities. I wasn't ready for anything. I wanted to expand my company worldwide. If I married you I couldn't have done that." He spoke as if he was trying to justify himself.

Liked you? Didn't you say you loved me back then? What company? What responsibilities? Did you think I will hold you back?

"Honestly I- I felt inferior to you. You always had a sweet demeanor while you had a strong business sense. Your Murthy family was very influential and my family was just a Nouveau riche." He spoke in frustration while Nandini looked at him in shock.

"That's why I had to prove myself. I went abroad to study and there I met Mukthi. She was all I ever wanted. She was bold, daring. She was in the art department. We- we love each other." He said hanging his head low in shame while Nandini just listened without interrupting. Her face held no expression.

"And then I was called back to marry you. I didn't want to." He spoke while Ishika tightened her fist. She just wanted to hit that bastard until he was dead.

"That day you invited me to hang out with you at the bar but I didn't come." He spoke while Nandini frowned.

"You came." She spoke while Abhimanyu shook his head.

"No, you did," Nandini exclaimed in anger.

"I- I didn't Nandini. I was at my home." He stammered while Nandini held her head.

"No, no, no you came. Remember it!" She spoke while Abhimanyu looked at her in confusion.

"The next day morning I went to your home but you weren't there so I told your family about the annulment of our engagement." He spoke while Nandini didn't pay any attention to him.

Then that day...

 Her mind was doing summersaults. She couldn't think straight.

"Get out," Nandini spoke, her eyes were red.

"What?"

"I said get out!" Nandini spoke throwing the vase on the side table at Abhimanyu who ducked at the right time escaping it. He looked back to see broken pieces of the vase and was stupefied. Ishika called the security guard to take the stupefied Abhimanyu away.

Nandini took a deep breath but couldn't calm down.

Her hands were filled with sweat and her face grew unearthly pale.

She started to hyperventilate while Ishika held Nandini's hand tightly.

"Breathe Nandini, breathe. Get her medicine." Ishika ordered the maid while she immediately ran up.

It has been almost 3 years since Nandini had a panic attack. She had insomnia while she was still pregnant with Ayaan. It was so serious that doctors suggested making her join the hospital.

When Ishika first met Nandini she wasn't in the state to even speak. The first thing Ishika did was to send her to the hospital. After the check-up, the doctor informed her that it was some kind of trauma and suggested different treatments for it. At that time Ishika was handling her father's bankruptcy so she didn't have money for Nandini's treatment.

As a stranger, Ishika could only think of searching for Nandini's relatives and her family if any. The nurse gave her Nandini's dress and belongings. With that, she found Nandini's phone. It was a bit broken but it still worked. Ishika immediately searched for the contact information. She found 4 to 5 numbers but no one lifted the call. She tried calling each number 3 to 4 times but it was all in vain.

So all she could do was wait for Nandini to wake up.

"Ishika mam." The maid said handing her the medicine while Ishika looked at Nandini who was a little calm now but her breathing was still uneven.

Ishika injected the medicine while Nandini took a long breath as if she was taken out of the water just now.

"Are you ok? Follow my finger." Ishika spoke as she moved her index finger from left to right while Nandini looked at the finger's moments.

Manik, who arrived down seeing the maid carrying medicine, was flabbergasted.

"Is she ok?" Manik asked coming near Ishika while Ishika nodded her head firmly.

"Yes, she is." She has to be. Was left untold by Ishika.

"What happened?" Manik asked while Ishika looked at him for a second before nodding in a no.

"Manik, can you please leave?" Ishika spoke straightforwardly while Manik paused for a second and looked at Nandini who was only half-conscious.

Although he didn't want to go, Manik nodded his head. He took his things which were on the table and moved towards the door. His eyes didn't miss the broken vase behind the sofa.

"Manik! I am sorry." Ishika apologized sincerely as he was their guest and she was sending him away like that. While Manik turned around and nodded in a no.

"Ayaan is still sleeping," He informed while Ishika nodded her head.

"I will ask Nandini to call you as soon as she feels better," Ishika spoke while Manik just fake smiled.
