Next morning,

Manik Malhotra spent all his night looking at the stars from his balcony having a billion of thoughts racing in his mind.

He was, for the first time in so long, contemplating about his private life. He felt warm, maybe for the first time in his entire life though it was only for a moment.

Manik knew one thing for sure, that mother and son duo can be quite handful. He chuckled at that thought.

A knock on his door interrupted his thoughts.

"Come in cabir." He spoke chuckling again. The sound of door being shut was heard.

"What are you doing here Manik? You have few scenes today. You should use the little time you have to rest." He spoke but his voice remained empty without emotions.

"Look at the sky cabir." He stretched his arms widely.

"Isn't the weather great for a picnic?" He spoke while Cabir remained silent.

"If you want I can apply for a day off." Cabir spoke after some time.

"Yes, I want to Cabir. So that I have enough time to prepare for the coming wedding." Manik spoke looking at the sky. There was silence again.

No one spoke until Manik got up.

"Let's go, have some fun." Manik said chuckling at Cabir who just followed him.

At the set.

"Manik, today you have a scene with Ms. Navya. Here's the script for that." The script writer showed it to Manik who smiled in return thanking him.

"Hello Manik!" Navya spoke smiling widely while Manik just smiled at her with a nod.

"I hope the scene will go smoothly." She spoke interuppting him as he was reading the script.

"I hope so too." He said with a fake smile and turned his attention towards the script again.

But one thought flashed through his mind.

Nandini appeared to dislike her for some reason.

He unknowingly grinned mischievously. While Navya just bit her lip not knowing what to do seeing him ignore her.

Soon, it was time for the scene.

Manik stood in front of Navya. His expression was stromy, perfect for the scene.

"Leah, did you spike her drink? Did you go to Mr. Kaizer's house that night? Did you?" Manik asked, his eyes red showing his anger. All of a sudden Navya felt some pressure on her.

She didn't know why but she stuttered  her lines.

"I- I-"

"CUT!!!" The director yelled at them.

"Navya! Do it again. Take 2."

"Leah! I am asking you something. Did you spike her drink? Did you go to Mr. Kaizer's house that day? Did you!" Manik shouted at her in anger while seeing his acting the director gave a very satisfied smile. The director narrowed his eyes at Navya.

"I- I don't kn-"

"CUT!!!"

"Navya! I don't want you to appear weak. You have to say it with a bit of carelessness in your voice. Try again ok." He spoke calming down while Cabir hit his head.

Its manik who you need to scold, that poor girl doesn't even know that she is under the pressure of an experienced actor.

Normally Manik has a friendlier atmosphere which helps the actors to act with him. But here, I don't know why he is doing this?

Manik inwardly chuckled as the director shouted TAKE 7.

"Leah! Did you spike her drink that day? Did you go to Mr. Kaizer's house? Tell me Leah, did you do it?" He said, each word bringing out emotion. The director stood up as he felt goosebumps. Manik kept improving his scene that everyone in the set felt his emotion.

"I don't kn-ow what you are talking about Manik." She said hurriedly not wanting another lecture.

"CUT CUT CUT!!!" The director screamed.

"ATTITUDE, GIVE ME ATTITUDE! AND. HE. IS. NOT. MANIK!!!" He yelled while Navya wiped her sweat.

"Director, why dont we take a break?" Manik spoke while the director immediately smiled at him.

"Of course Manik." He said calmly as he gestured everyone to take a break.

Cabir gave Manik some water.

"Why did you do that?" He asked while Manik grinned at him.

"Simply." He said as he ignored Cabir and took the phone in his hand.

"Now lemme take a break." He said as he scrolled through the web.

I will never understand him.

Cabir thought as he sighed.

Naaya Entertainment.

Nandini who was reading some files when her phone pinged.

She looked at the message to see it was from one of her body guards whom she stationed at the set to check Navya's moments.

She opened it to see a video. It was the same scene which Manik and Navya performed numerous times.

She laughed slightly seeing the video. Her eyes inadventurously looked at Manik. They followed his every expression.

She was in a daze. She snapped out of it quickly as she wondered what's wrong with her.

"Why am I thinking about him?" She questioned herself but found no answer.

"Am I interested in him? NO WAY. It was just a hug. It wasn't anything special." She spoke hurriedly.

And a hug that lasted not more than a minute cannot make Nandini Murthy look at him.

"Snap out of it Nandini. There is no such thing called love or attraction." She muttered to herself as she glared at Manik's face.

Her thoughts were interuppted by Ishika who just walked inside.

"I bet the news reached you right." She spoke confusing Nandini.

"What news?"

"Ayaan wants to join the skating club. Didn't you hear it? Then why were you laughing?" She asked while Nandini shook her head.

"Really! Jaan did?" She asked changing the topic while Ishika nodded with a smile.

"I will prepare his favourite today for dinner. Make sure not to spill out." She spoke smiling while Ishika nodded her head showing her tongue.

"Ok, then let's get back to work." Nandini said while Ishika interuppted her as she glanced at her phone.

"Looks like we have a problem, Nandu." She spoke as she showed the message she got.

It was a picture of a person along with a message saying 'Someone says he knows boss and wants to meet her. Should we send him in?'

Nandini looked at the picture blankly.
