At Paradise Mansion,

Manik with Ayaan in his arms walked into the building as Ayaan pointed the way.

Nandini pouted and stomped her foot a little before turning towards Ishika.

"Ishi I want you to oversee the crew and cast and inform me of any change. And hasten up the plan a little." She spoke seriously.

"Nandu, I think they have begin to doubt. It's getting harder to buy the shares here. We need to be careful." Ishika spoke as she gave nandu a file.

"Alright then, change the plan, start buying the overseas shares. Make sure to be random. We can't slip up." Nandini said while Ishika nodded.

"Alright, let's go eat something. Thanks for everthing Ishi." Nandini spoke hugging her while Ishika widened her eyes.

"Awe, Nandu you are my sister, you don't need to thank me. It's because of you I am here." She spoke with slight tears in her eyes.

"Come let's go before that molester steals all my jaan's attention." Nandini spoke while Ishika rolled her eyes.

"Common nandu, stop calling him molester." She spoke while Nandini just chuckled.

They went inside to see Manik and Ayaan roaming around. Ayaan was showing the home to him.

"Jaan, you didn't eat anything. First eat something. Your uncle also must be hungry." Nandini spoke softly while Ayaan looked at Manik.

"Uncle are you hungry?" He asked while Manik nodded his head.

"Yes, champ. Common, you can show me around someother time." He as he held Ayaan's stretched hand.

They all sat in the dining area as the maids put the food. The order was Nandini and Ayaan, Ishika. Ayaan gestured manik to sit beside Nandini as he was sitting in her lap.

Manik looked at his hand in which he held Ayaan's hand before. How long has it been since he held someone's hand offscreen.

Nandini cleared her throat and gestured Manik to eat as she fed Ayaan.

Ishika chuckled a little seeing Manik's dumb look.

"Manik uncle, is acting good?" He asked curiously while Manik's eyes flicked sad for a second before he smiled widely.

"Of course champ. You get to understand different perspectives. It is fun." He spoke while his heart told another story. A story filled with lies and pain.

"Can you tell me what charater you love the most?" He asked smiling while manik nodded his head.

"Hmm, that's a tough question. I love brave characters. Like a Hero in every movie." He spoke while Ayaan clapped his hands.

"Me too. Hero's are brave and they always win." He spoke in awe while Nandini put another morsel in his mouth to which he pouted.

"Mumma." He spoke pushing her hand.

"No jaan, tumhe khana hai. Even the carrots, I won't listen to your excuses this time." Nandini spoke sternly while Ayaan just pouted and pointed out towards Manik's plate who left the carrots at the corner of his plate.

"Carrots... eww..." He spoke making a bad face.

"Deko manik uncle bhi khayange. Right Manik?" She spoke taunting him to say other wise.

"Y-yes." He stuttered as he in took the information. He blinked his eyes at the carrots and looked up to see Nandini smiling at him devilishly.

He gulped his saliva as he bought a spoon full of carrots to his mouth. He chewed the carrots fastly and gulped some water.

"How is it, Manik uncle?" Nandini asked hiding her smile.

"Delicious." He spat out the words seeing the Ayaan pouted.

"Mumma, Aaa." He said. Nandini gave him a piece of carrot. He took a small bite and chewed it fastly and took a sip of water.

"Delicious." He spoke making them laugh. Manik ruffled his hair chuckling.

They continued to eat the remaining food listening to Ayaan's talks.

After that, they sat in the living room. Manik sat on the single seater while Ishika, Nandini and Ayaan sat on the three seater.

Manik felt it was late and he should excuse himself as he had a shoot tomorrow.

He was about tell them when a phone call interrupted him.

Ishika, who took the call and talked for a few minutes, turned pale.

Nandini frowned, Ishika whispered something in her ear which made her tighten her fist.

She stood up and gestured Ishika to go to the study. She took the ever so active Ayaan and went near Manik.

"Mr. Malhotra, could you please look after my son for a few moments?" She asked seriously for the first time trusting someone to be with her son alone.

She was testing him, and he knew it.

She was taking a gamble, whether he was really good or not.

Considering how her son always wants to stay with him, she wants to make sure if he is worthy.

If anything did happen, he wouldn't be able to see tomorrow's daylight.

If it didn't, then she would allow them to meet eachother.

He nodded his head and Nandini put Ayaan in his lap. Ayaan turned towards manik while he adjusted himself as it was his first time holding a baby.

Nandini stood there for a minute and instructed how to catch him and left with Ishika.

In the study.

"Are you serious Nandini? You left Ayaan with Manik Malhotra." She spoke widening her eyes.

"Trust me, I know what I am doing. Now tell me what happened in the phone." Nandini spoke while Ishika sighed heavily.

"That b*tch got the role." Ishika spoke with hatred lacing her tone.

"What? How?" Nandini questioned as she looked at her in disbelief.

"She got the backing of the other share holders in the company. Although we have the highest amount of shares in the film, all of the other share holders together crossed our number, which I didn't consider." She spoke with distressed.

"That damned B*tch." Nandini cursed as she slammed her hand onto the table.

"I am sorry Nandu. I didn't know she would come here." Ishika spoke as she was the one who initiated the deal.

"No Ishi, it's not your fault. But I can't believe she did this on her own, unless they helped her." She spoke, her voice cold as ice.

"But the question is, why now? Since the past 5 years I haven't seen them, not even once. But now, this? Ishi, we are missing something.

Although, I agree Navya is a fool, but if it was only her then things wouldn't have been like this."

"I think I know what you mean." Ishika spoke as she nodded at Nandini.

"First of all, pressure the screen writer to cut Navya's role and make her an extra who unfortunately dies in the first half. Second, I need you to just handle the overseas shares. I will take care of what happens here. Thirdly, no arguments, and don't inform Zeno as she will go rampage on them if she hears this."

Nandini spoke while Ishika nodded with a pout. Nandini smiled as she patted her head.

Meanwhile near manik.

Just as Nandini went up manik began to think.

Why did he agree to this?

He had no responsibility nor did he have any gains.

He never took care of children. He never felt like it.

Why was he feeling like this? The boy in his lap was practically a nobody.

He doesn't need to prove himself to anyone, why did he felt the urge to prove her wrong?

He was in a daze when he felt a hand on his cheek. He looked down to see Ayaan smiled at him widely revealing his dimples.

Manik unconsciously smiled back.

"Hey champ, what happened?" He asked as he held Ayaan's hand.

"Nothing hero. Can I call you that?" He questioned cutely while manik nodded his head.

"Of course kiddo." He said ruffling his hair. They had some small talk as Manik told Ayaan about his shoots and how he had to travel around the world for shooting.

Ayaan listened with great curiosity as he never heard any of this from anyone.

Soon he fell asleep in Manik's arms who cluelessly stared at the stairs.

Nandini came down with Ishika to see Manik scrolling something in the internet with a sleeping Ayaan.

She looked at him expressionlessly and took Ayaan away from him.

"Thank you." She spoke with voidness in her tone. Manik just nodded and bid them good bye. Seeing him go away without a second glance, Ishika looked at Nandini who was already halfway towards her room.

"Nandu only smiles infront of Ayaan. And he doesn't give a damn about anything. How weird people.

But they say it takes a weird person to love a weird person. Let's see what's stored in for them." Ishika spoke sighing.

She really wanted Nandini to smile and fall in love. But she doesn't dare to say it infront of her. All she can do is leave it up to destiny.
